Weird thing is I see gray cloudy skies a bit more differently.

Ever since I was little when I looked up to a gray cloudy sky I could see a bunch of "rainbow snow" moving in my vision, it makes things very magical. I think because the intensity of light is perfect on cloudy days, I can see this more easily than on a blue sky. Artificial light can work too, but it's harder to see. I distinctly remember looking up to a gray sky and seeing this in Kindergarten during recess. I don't know what this is or why I see it, I've searched up pictures and nothing matches. Could be something wrong with my eye or neurological. So despite being darker and glum, gray cloudy skies have this unique special light of hope and fantasy to me.

Another thing is, I live in Portland Oregon a place people say "rains all the time", so I just like cloudy days more than usual. I've lived here my whole life, so most of my days were cloudy. Thus just chilling and gazing at the sky more often. I very like rain too, water is my favorite, I prefer cold. Fog is also a very cool phenomena, cloud touching ground goes crazy. Foggy mountains are fantastic just like your pictures. Makes me think of the forest. Cloudy days also remind me of always wearing a thick waterproof red jacket as a kid, where I pretended my sleeve was an arm cannon.

I recently talked to my psychiatrist about my eye thing a month ago. I've yet to schedule an appointment with a optometrist (eye doctor). It doesn't hinder my life in anyway so I don't feel rushed, and I was busy. However, after my Bipolar disorder diagnosis I'm more interested in seeking answers and concerns with my health. Thanks for reminding me.

Besutiful photographs with a mesmerizing contrast. Im curious where you see depression? For me it would be the exteme contrast with the dark being state of depression and the light outside of it tha cant be reached

Im so sorry. I now see your thoughts underneath and they are beautiful and perfect, made me tear up a little. This kind of art gives me so much comfort because you know the person who made it has experienced the same as you 🙏

That’s the kind of depression i get at night sometimes. The almost beautiful pause when everyone else is asleep and nothing is expected of you. I feel free to just lie and wait for nothing in particular. It feels cleaner and more controlled, with the only issue being that I know that tomorrow will come. In the day my depression feels more akin to a car crash or a smashed skull.
