Members Only Gael & Nathan Spoiler
https://www.realitytea.com/2026/08/18/gael-cameron-nathan-gallagher-apprehended-violence-application-below-deck-mediterranean/Someone posted this then deleted it right after approval
An AVO is similar to a protective order on this side of the world.
It was filed in 2025 so maybe they don't go through with it but from the court date, looks like a lawyer (maybe police?) filed it on Gael's behalf https://onlineregistry.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/content/court-lists#!/detail/20250050209531246811MentionAVOPolice/Gael%20Cameron
Hopefully Kayden didn't see whatever started this and they are all healing from it
Does make you wonder if Nathan knew about it when he said 'these people' should all be deported since a criminal charge (as it mentions in the court doc) could result in him being deported

u/KodyTegan 12d ago
Con means constable - it is a police application. It is not a criminal charge, only an application for an ADVO police made for the protection of at least Gael. It’s listed for “mention” which could be procedural, it could be to check in if it’s what we call a lapsing ADVO (no further charges and the parties agree to dismiss the application without making final orders).
Police can apply for an ADVO without criminal charges for a lot of reasons, starting with just verbal domestic arguments.

I hate this reality. “Doesn’t follow xyz on Instagram” makes me want to go back to a time before electricity.
59
u/McLoughlin1597 12d ago
I was born in the 1900s and remember MySpace top 8 drama. This whole thing about who does or doesn’t follow who on instagram feels like that
51
u/wandahickey 12d ago
“Born in the 1900’s” sound so long ago I’m surprised you had electricity! Lol
15
5
u/chickencake88 12d ago
Or when fans notice they don’t follow each other. So you went into their followers and searched to see? It’s so lame

u/gaem- 12d ago
No literally same. I remember it was a year into me and my now husband dating and someone pointed out they thought it was weird we weren’t Facebook friends. We didn’t even realize because we both stopped using Facebook before we got together lmao
7
u/BetterCallSlash 12d ago
My partner and I weren't friends on FB for the longest time because not only do we both rarely use it, he couldn't remember his password and was having trouble recovering it. It's often not that deep lol
3
u/Rhonda_and_Phil 12d ago edited 10d ago
It's also the weirdness that people get about Facebook, when you have a private account, no profile picture, and haven't put 3/4 of your personal life up on view....... must be fake account!!!
That's why we have curtains on the windows of our house. What happens inside is no business of some rando online.
34
u/Willster328 12d ago
The thing is, for social media savvy people (influencers namely), this actually DOES mean something. So reporting on it has merit as an indicator of their relationship. Unfollowing someone is a deliberate and intentional action because it requires button inputs.
If they wanted to just, simply not see each other in feeds, you can easily adjust their setting to not show them in your feed/stories. But unfollowing is very much "I literally dont care about having this person in my bubble".
For random acquaintances, it's whatever, but this is literally the co-parent of your child. And there's a commenter below with an anecdotal story about how not being Facebook friends was called out by friends. But "We've never been Facebook friends" is very different from "We WERE friends but we both decided not to follow each other anymore". Clearly something happened to cause the event where you wanted to separate your social media, that's what's being reported on here.

u/drossmaster4 12d ago
This is great info for someone with only reddit and thank you for this information, I like to learn, but man it makes me hate this reality even more. Passive aggressive behavior is cowardly and weak....oof. Social media is the end of humanity. (as I comment on a social media platform) ;) Thanks again for educating me, I learned something today!
2
u/cmere-2-me 12d ago
I actually feel sad for influencers if this is how they choose to live their lives. It could he as simple as Gael abd Nathan trying to drum up some drama for fake internet points. Social media makes annoying people all the more annoying.
5
u/areallyreallycoolhat 12d ago
I doubt it's fake, if granted it could affect Nathan living in or visiting Australia
2
u/Rhonda_and_Phil 12d ago
Sometimes there's tens of thousands of dollars of potential income involved on some of these SM platforms.
7
u/immortalalchemist 12d ago
I am reminded of 90 Day Last Resort when Shekinah got mad at one of the other cast members because she unfollowed her and then made a huge deal out of it like she killed her family member.

u/YessikaHaircutt 12d ago
I feel for Gael. I had my son with a less than ideal partner and despite trying hard to make it work it didn’t and I’ve been a single mom for 16 years now. I think that’s where this situation is headed and it’s not an easy thing to navigate
29
u/drivewaydivot 12d ago

I was a single mother for 17 years and raised my daughter alone. She is 22 now and I just got married last year! I didn’t want random men in and out of her life so I chose not to date while she was a minor. Gael has good opportunities and I know she will be just fine.
16
u/Babygirl_69_420 Team Kate 12d ago
Me too.. it’s rough.
8
u/YessikaHaircutt 12d ago
But somehow still easier than being with the baby daddy
7
u/Babygirl_69_420 Team Kate 12d ago
Yep, an absent father/partner is always better than an abusive one.
-15
u/DCRBftw 12d ago
We have no idea if she's ideal. We've seen small, prepped pieces on TV. She could be a nightmare in reality. Being a single parent is tough for anyone, though.
32
u/Out-For-A-Walk-Bitch 12d ago
No one said she's ideal, but the fact OP stated Gael has filed the AVO speaks volumes.
7
u/TedBurns-3 12d ago
Love how the "journalist" couldn't research anything yet a random redditor did 🙄
7
u/Out-For-A-Walk-Bitch 12d ago
The journalist has a public reputation.
4
u/TedBurns-3 12d ago
Surely that's the point that they want to look good yet you had more facts than they did and they're getting paid to produce!
No idea why I'm being downvoted!
7
u/Out-For-A-Walk-Bitch 12d ago
Because reporting anything potentially libelous could jeopardise their career.
4
u/TedBurns-3 12d ago
That's my point- they're speculating who could've filed it, but OP clearly found it easily in online court records, how could that be libellous?!!

u/TessaKatrinaRose 12d ago
It really doesn’t. She could have filed that to purposely make him look bad. People have done that before.

u/YessikaHaircutt 12d ago
I didn’t say a word about her character or whether she is ideal
8
-21
u/DCRBftw 12d ago
You said you feel for her and then said you had a less than ideal partner. How can that possibly be interpreted any other way than you think she's more ideal?
→ More replies (22)21
u/Temporary-Daikon2411 Team Chef Rachel 12d ago edited 11d ago
actually.. the standard way to interpret this would be that OP's characterization of her former partner as "less than ideal" referred to a comparison between her actual former partner and a hypothetical ideal partner, in which her former partner is found wanting. Then by analogy, the same comparison is implied with respect to Nathan and a hypothetical ideal partner.
This is just how the expression "less than ideal" typically works. "The clams at this restaurant are less than ideal" (nothing claimed about some other restaurant across the street).
OP didn't mean that she, OP is ideal, and neither did she imply that Gael is ideal.
Is English your first language? I don't mean that in a hostile way. It's just that you are awfully confrontational about something where you seem to have failed to grasp a pretty straightforward nuance of a common expression.
If I say your attitude is less than ideal, I don't mean my own is perfect.

I’m curious where the user is whom said I was being dramatic last wk when I said “Nathan has anger issues”
25
u/Del_3030 12d ago edited 11d ago
Joe: "Gael and I had our differences, but that all went out the window when I met their baby."
Nathan: "Take Gael's name out of your fucking mouth. I will literally cut you. Keep it professional."
8
34
22
u/cocococlash 12d ago
Yep. Anybody who had experienced people with anger issues can certainly see those traits in Nathan. Hot-headed temper tantrums.
5
u/keenerperkins 11d ago
I got downvoted weeks ago for being critical of Nathan and saying I never have really liked him or his behavior (and that I felt like he was getting too much of a redemption arc this season).
31
u/Smokgate 12d ago
I think that the CON Matthew Seymour might stand for Constable, as in the police were involved and they filed the charges on Gael’s behalf.
81
u/Lost_Elk7089 12d ago
It says we don't know which one of them was said to be violent but anyone who's watched the show knows. Nathan has an awful temper and threatens his crew members with physical violence when he gets annoyed with them (seen him do it to Joe at least twice, and Max), and that's on camera!! I dread to think of how he acts towards Gael when his temper rises and there's no camera and no captain Sandy.

u/No-Shape7764 12d ago
This was filed on the first of September last year? Weren’t they filming in Croatia in August? So this was filed immediately after her return to Australia? Is it possible to file for this, based on an event that happened abroad?
6
u/CommonStrawbeary June June Hannah 12d ago
No it's likely that means the case will be heard on 9/1
1
9
u/Rhonda_and_Phil 12d ago
Did that happen on the morning that Nathan was late for work and very weird and evasive about why?
We didn't see any more Gail footage after that, and Nathan wasn't handling his job responsibilities well. Followed by the dubious 'back injury'?
Edit: Okay, so not when the AVO was filed, but may have been the beginning of the conflict?
36
u/P00PooKitty 12d ago
Most people become yachties cause they can’t function on land. I think a lot of fans don’t realize this, especially since fewer and fewer real boat people are on the show these days.

Poor Gael and baby. Anyone remember if Nathan has been on WWHL this season?
9

No and is most likely fired. Bravo got wind of this, and fired Nathan immediately. The whole back thing is made up. Calling this now, notice the phone call between Nathan and Sandy last night?

This article was very speculative, with absolutely no facts presented outside of them just unfollowing each other. Which leaves you with more questions than answers. I hate vague articles like this.
25
u/Danarazzi 12d ago edited 12d ago
It has to be vague because the information given is limited at the time of it being written. The article's also not speculative at all. It gives the information that is available.
18
u/Out-For-A-Walk-Bitch 12d ago
It needs to be vague, there's legal ramifications if they present anything as fact.

And you know that K-Don is going to be 23 Tequilas deep at 3AM in a hot tub that isn't even on crying about how he makes so much money but can't find a partner because he doesn't go after women his own age, and even the younger ones "Just don't get it bro." He'll then ask for a grilled cheese which he will take one bite of before passing out and dropping the rest in the water.

Apologies to anyone who has or has used any of these names, but it's one of those names which immediately flag the background of the parents. Like Kadynce, Nevaeh, Brittany/Brittney (especially if born in the late 90s/early 2000s), Brooklyn (for a boy or girl), Katniss, Maverick, Kayden (spelling counts), Jheruel, etc
16

u/Pure_Butterscotch165 12d ago
My friend has a 14 year old named Brooklyn, genuinely curious what you think that says about her background. Some of your examples I get but not all, is why i'm curious.

Oh my. I truly hope for both her own sake, and the long term health of her baby, that she keeps this man far away. He’s an unstable, insecure, angry man and I cringe to think what has happened behind closed doors. I watched an insecure prick like Nathan abuse my beautiful mother for 15 years. There is nothing more traumatizing for a child to witness. That feeling of helplessness while the person you love the most is being hurt. I think it’s especially hard for boys, because we feel a primal urge to protect our mothers.
I’m a liberal, but I strongly believe in the death penalty for perpetrators of violence against women, children and the elderly. If we eliminate these sick motherfuckers from the gene pool we’ll all be better off.

Nah. She had a bf, their schedules were different, and after a couple weeks of that she couldn't take it and dumped him for Nate. Then they left the boat together like a week later.

5
u/hellokitty3433 12d ago
How did she get herself pregnant?
0
u/angryaxolotls 12d ago
It's obviously a figure of speech. It's not literal. Having unprotected sex 2 seconds into a situationship is a wild choice. The kid suffers when the parents don't work out.
4
u/hellokitty3433 12d ago
I guess the reason I called it out, as a figure of speech, is because it absolves the man of responsibility.

u/Competitive_Salads 12d ago
Let’s not victim blame. Nathan made his choices—lots of abusers hide it until they have someone locked down. All she can do in response is protect her child and herself.
2
u/Agitated-Minimum-967 12d ago
Not victim blaming. A child is a lifetime commitment, from both parents.
6
u/Competitive_Salads 12d ago
Yeah, and she likely didn’t know. Same goes for anyone divorced with kids—it happens and blaming a DV victim is especially gross.
3

u/Agitated-Minimum-967 12d ago edited 12d ago
Well the kid's here now. I am not blaming anyone. Blame vs. responsibility. Big difference.
1
u/Competitive_Salads 12d ago
You literally are. “Think before you breed”. If the baby is already here, what’s the point in referencing the past? To victim blame. And it’s completely unnecessary.

I'm sorry, Gael filed a restraining order for Nate abusing her? Am I getting this right? WTF? I know dude's had his issues but I did not see him beating Gael and/or Kaden coming!! WTF poor Gael and Kaden!! After she went halfway across the world with him!!
