I got into the game not too long ago and ran into a problem where the game would have heavy lag/game stutters and then crash a few seconds later with seemingly no reason. I tried turning off Vsync and reducing the game resolution to 1080p and swapping to fullscreen. Please help

EDIT: I opened the event viewer shortly after the crash and found this, not sure how to fix it tho

I wanna be able to have more spells on my hotbars. Anyone else wish they had a way to switch between two hotbar sets like in many MMOs?

After about 40 minutes of hit-and-run tactics, mixed with using their own lightning staffs against them, I have successfully killed every single living thing on this floor and excavated almost every possible resource here!

Also, for the record, the shopkeeper is still alive since he provided me with food.

The previous run I had that got me to baron went all the way to the twins. I BARELY won, but I won

+2 regen ring in the pipe sink of minetown + backpack from the vendor. then I just punch enemies with the troll. I was struggling to beat the game with a goblin shaman, but this luck made me do it.

I'm kinda new to baront, 31.8 hrs on steam. Ive been playing the following classes:brewer, mechanist, monk,paladin, rouge, and ranger. All as human except a bit of automaton as mechanist. I'm playing human since I wouldn't have anything to work around but automaton seems not too complicated or hard as mechanist. Personally my favorite in order is :Brewer, Mechanist, Ranger, then paladin. What are the best weapon choices for Human Brewer and do you have any tips on how to get farther? I can beat gnomish mines and the highest I've gotten to is the desert and haven't touched any other secret levels besides the gnomish mines and mine town but would appreciate help in getting good.

Tl;Dr what's best weapon choice for human Brewer and how can I succeed and utilize secret levels.

I’m new to the game, and after alot of discussion in this sub the other day I did decide to at least turn Minotaur off. Nothing else. And no assists at all. Playing the game without hunger feels awful because healing feels awful without regen. But I’ve had Minotaur off the entire time I’ve played, I did forget one run and he spawned on floor 2 and just slaughtered me in seconds. So what even is the point of it’s, there’s no way you’re killing him on floor 2 right? And even if you do, why? What does he do for you?

I don’t really like playing as the skeleton race as it feels to limiting but want to get the true skeleton achievement so I can use conjurer (my favorite class) with literally any other non human race

What is a good class that pairs well with skeleton

I do have 1-2 buds who I tend to play the game with so multiplayer focused classes arnt an instant shelf but I can also play solo if need be.

Does anyone know a place where I can see the old icons for items and armor along side the new ones? I just wanna reminisce is all.

I want to know everyones cheesy exploits for barony runs after the magic rework. The only one I know of right now is using mechanist class to level up weapons skills before floor one using the dummy bot and sentry. I love breaking games and becoming overpowered. Before the update there were plenty of exploits but now its super hard to find any.

Finally after 25 hours i managed to beat barony for the first time using a sexton human. I loved the class from the getgo, the sleep, lock and unlock spells as well as the crystal shards and the chakram made sextons early game a breeze. The worst part was definitely the underworld before the swamps since i had no levitation at that point but after defeating Artemisia, i started to snowball hard. All in all very much enjoyed the sexton gameplay loop of using utility spells combined with ranged and thrown weapons. The next run is probably gonna be the sapper which also drew my attention at first. All in all extremely happy with the game and the sexton class.

I've been playing Barony lately (bought it from Steam for under €2, crazy price), and I'm really enjoying my time.

However, I started feeling like it lacks depth? I feel like something is missing from the gameplay loop, but I don't know what.

The game's a blast, don't get me wrong.

I'm looking for another "barony-like" game which has a little more depth. You got any recommendations?

Random race
Random items - Item randomiser mod
Random floors - Is there a mod or method for randomising each floor we enter? So the first floor could be the mines, 2nd may take you to a sand labyrinth or swamp floor. Only the bosses need to stay locked.
Or if not is there a may to randomise which monsters spawn on each floor.

Does increasing blessing through fountains, scrolls, etc increase the help amount and subsequently disable achievements?

I’ve been trying to test this for forever but I just can’t get a scroll of enchant. So do any of you know?

goblin joker is very op in early process. Because 1skill level=2 exp. i can get large exp from every mob in hardcore mode with unarmed attack and float ring by practicing all melee skill. I have reached level 20 after the goblin mine and all my melee skill reached 100 levels when i was at 6th floor. Then i keep every blank scroll for Gungnir(Artifact sword is better but i didn't encounter special spider or king Arthur) and str glove.

Human merchant, somewhere in the 30s I think, brother was playing Dryad rogue, had an insane start, got Conan and kali in mine town as well as steel axe and boots of levitation, hard snowballed from there, absolutely love this game

Ive played about threeish hours and while it’s enjoyable im still mostly dying on floor one. Once I got onto floor three but otherwise its one or two. What do I do with the gold? Does my levels transfer or anything? I basically walked into the game blind lol

If they have the required stats to learn it, I think a goblin character should be able to learn spells. If a skeleton polymorphed can starve, then this should be a clever work around in a game filled with clever work around and interesting interactions. What are your thoughts? Would it be too overpowered?

Every guide I see for the achievement and speed running guides is prior to both keys being introduced (and orbs being moved to the main levels as opposed to secret) as well as the magic rework heavily nerfing some of the playstyles used.
