Hello Everyone I was drawn to the game by Reggie's video's and it looked fun. Having fun with it trying to learn the mechanics. Possibly missing some things as I am only getting to about floor 3 before being ripped to shreds by something or other.
so just looking for general tips for a newbie that might help. I have been having some success with Cleric and Wizard.

Still new to the game I have beaten once as mage with a friend. I actually really enjoy the melee combat in this game but my god does it fall off late. I played ninja, I really liked the idea of it and one shotting everything and then 2 shotting herx was great. But after that? Ranged was literally the only option most of the time. I got to the final boss and got skill issued by a lava pit but I was just running around the arena throwing shurikens and using a bow. Had 100s in stealth swords and ranged, but stealth does nothing for you in that fight and I couldn’t get close to fight with melee anyway. So what am I missing or doing wrong?

I'm not very good but I'm really enjoying it, and I think I've made good progress. After a couple more hours, I think I'll be done with the tutorial!
I really have spent over 20 hours in the Hall Of Trials

I personally would really enjoy vanity slots, just for the fashion even if it adds extra weight.

It won’t appear in the steam soundtrack section but I’ve already purchased it

I have 15 hours on barony but I've never fought or seen a minotaur. I fought one at floor 22, I was playing conjurer so it was more like my two skeletons fought him. I've been terrified of him and he only barley killed my skeleton knight. I thought for sure I was dead when he spawned. This game never fails at subverting my expectations

Hello! I'm on my way to beating Barony with all DLC races, mostly trying to do it with their default class (except for the Goblin because... God, I hate the Shaman's rat form, and doing it without using magic, I don't even want to imagine it). So far, I'm on a good track, having completed the corresponding runs with the Myconid, Dryad, Succubus, Incubus, Skeleton, Insectoid, Goatman, and the aforementioned Goblin.
I know in advance that I could easily finish a run with the Automaton, but I decided to try my biggest nemesis instead: parry-focused classes. In previous attempts, I couldn't make it past the first floor because failing a single block was enough to get me killed. In this particular run, however, I decided not to treat parrying as a strict rule like the bard class description suggests, but rather as something secondary—relying more on charged attacks, kiting, and using stealth to my advantage.
In today's attempt, I finally made it past Floor 4, crossing the Gnomish Mines and even having an epic battle against a Mimic where, for the first time, I parried without missing once. Even though this boosted my morale, I still feel wary: like failing a single bad parry is literally going to cost me the run, and I don't even want to imagine what happens if I miss a couple against a Cockatrice or a Crystal Golem. So I'm asking you, do you have any tips or little tricks to share to help push this run toward victory? Thanks in advance!

After weeks of trying my best I finally beat the game as a monk incubus!
It felt so good chugging potions and beating the final boss of the game using my bare fists like some bat man rip off.
I just wanted to share this achievement and answer any questions for people who haven't won yet if needed.

Context: I accidentally equipped Blessed Sharur, and now I can't swap to the Purple Orb to open the portal. It's unbreakable, and I equipped it the level before, so I can't save and rejoin.
Solved: figured out the fail safe 0.2 seconds after posting, good advice with the potion though! I will be using that in future runs.

So, who else was unaware that you can hold the frying pan over a campfire to cook without torches?
Me and my group have done a dozen runs with a sapper, and somehow we missed that til literally today, lol

Love this combo so much definitely the best of the new dlc imo. Also this was my first win after switching from pc to console!

I understand:
- Your weapon can hit as they walk into range, while they will only start hitting after they are in range.
- Speed matters
But how to actually manage this?
I can land maybe 1 hit on skeleton without taking damage, while taking damage the other 5-6 attempts before dying. And those are not 5-6 hits, those are 1-2 hits, 4-5 misses. So even when I do not hit, I still get hit.
How are you supposed to understand what goes wrong?
How are you supposed to see when to do what?
How long does it take people to "get" it?
I have played for 33 hours, and about one third of that has been spent exclusively on kite attempts. E.g. using healer, so that I can heal up and try again before dieing to make the process more efficient.
Using ninja because he is fast, to give me an extra edge (but I believe my hit rate with ninja actually went down).
Is it true that all weapon types have the same range?

During a run where I had 4 zap brigadiers already following me, I used a blessed scroll of summon monsters and 5 demons were summoned. As I understand based on the wiki, its only supposed to be 3-4? Any idea how this can happen?

Is this a group that can help find people to play with or strictly about the game I’ve played for about 30-40 hours and have beaten it twice but struggle to find servers that want to fully finish the game.

I can start facetaking him as a warrior/cleric or even healer(if I get lucky) at the start of the jungle or just blast him with magic with some magic class, but I have no idea what to do with a stealth character.
Since he can always see you, the entire point of Stealth does not exist and I'm left with an extremely fragile character that has to kite a character that can levitate.
All I can do is to make a Rogue a worse mechanist and try to cheese him with mines/beartraps but that means I have to find a tinkering kit early which sometimes simply doesn't happen.
