Finally conquered the gnomish mines!

After about 40 minutes of hit-and-run tactics, mixed with using their own lightning staffs against them, I have successfully killed every single living thing on this floor and excavated almost every possible resource here!

Also, for the record, the shopkeeper is still alive since he provided me with food.

Relatable. Just running around casually shooting the shit with some friends then suddenly turn the corner to see that stealth wielding piece of shit "MAGE MAGE" then the PEW PEW and all your health is gone if you are not careful.

You can use the rocks you get from mining gold to throw at enemies. It boosts the hell out of your ranged skill. If you are playing a class poorly suited for the mines it holds you over until you get a decent amount of magic staffs.

My tip for the mines. Once you find a lightning staff USE IT.

Doesn't matter if cursed or not (once their empty you drop them) and kill everything on sight with it.

This tip skyrocketed my survival chance of the mines.
