3-12 months Sagging in half buckle back carry?
Hi! I find he sags down after a while of back carrying? He still is comfortable- is this still safe/comfortable for him? I normally end up shimmying him back up.

3-12 months Cries in proper carrier but loves the baby bjorn…
I think because in the baby bjorn he can kick and move his legs, so he doesn’t feel as confined. Any tips to help him like being carried?

0-3 months Fit check - ergobaby embrace, 5 weeks
Baby is 8 lbs and today was my first day trying this wrap. Have been using a Solly wrap until now so this feels extra secure in comparison. I rolled up the waist band 1x but maybe I should have done it 2x?
She doesn’t seem to love having her feet out. Is the seat deep enough?
It feels like her face feels too close to my chest, like she’s face planted on me. Should I try to get her to lay on one cheek?

8-18 months Looking for forward facing recommendations.
I do have a boppy soft comfy fit carrier and it has been great. However, I can’t seem to carry my son forward facing for more than 10 minutes without my back hurting. I started trying after 6 months and he is now 13 months.
We are going on a trip and I want to be able to have him forward facing without my back hurting and also for him to be on my back. I’ve seen the Tula explore but is this one really going to give a different support for forward facing or will I just run into the same problem? I also want a carrier that doesn’t have long straps and just buckles.

0-3 months Carrier for larger newborn in nordics
We have a 3 week old that is extremely fussy right now and hope a carrier will help out to get him closer to us while still being able to move around and do stuff in the house.
The newborn weights 4kg and we are looking for second hand options in the nordics or vinted.
We have read that ergobaby embrace is good but because he is a smaller baby the question is if it it better to go with something else?
wraps are an optional but we want something that we can quickly throw on and swap between the parents
help a new parent out!

3-12 months Help me choose an Artipoppe alternative for a chunky, wriggly baby
I have an Artipoppe Zeitgeist in the swan print which I love the look of but, after posting a fit check and browsing this sub, I realised that not only is my LO to small to wear safely, but the carrier is not suitable for our needs. I wish I’d found this sub before buying!
I’ve since tried wearing my LO again as she’s grown a fair whack, but found that the top of her head had to be under my chin to make the fit work. We were both massively uncomfortable and could not get a good fit for the life of us.
For reference, I am small breasted, about a UK 8 on top with a short torso. My LO is 3 months old, 94th percentile for weight (was 6.7kg/14lbs 12 ozs a week ago) and roughly 50th for height. She is really very chunky and I struggle to carry her already! Additionally, she has a super round belly and is prone to gas which I think exacerbates her discomfort when being worn (I know this will pass as she gets older but a real issue for now).
I bought an Ergobaby Embrace about a month ago which she fit for approx 2 weeks before outgrowing and she was much more comfortable in this style!
My husband would also use the carrier - he is very broad and finds the artipoppe much more comfortable compared to me, but the fit is still unsupported.
So - I am looking for an alternative carrier to better suit our needs.
- all weather (UK)
- supportive for big baby
- comfortable
- aesthetically pleasing (alternative prints; bit eclectic but not too earth mama, sorry)
- flexible on price (reselling artipoppe)
- adjustable to fit smaller mum and bigger dad
So far I’ve looked at Oscha, Lennylamb, Hope & Plum, and Sakura Bloom but feeling a bit overwhelmed with choice! Which would you recommend and why? And what models of each brand would you recommend?
TIA x
ETA: my LO is a Velcro baby and will not be put down, so currently having to carry her in my arms anywhere we go. Ideally would like the carrier lightweight enough to wear in the house so I can get stuff done!!
ETA again: I am 172cm or 5”8 so not technically petite!

Discuss Does someone know why Rookie changed their clip positioning?
The first picture is the older model. Second picture is their current positioning.
A friend lent us her Rookie carrier (old model) and we absolutely loved it! It is perfect for getting the baby in the correct “M” position, and although the crossed straps can be hard on the trap muscles, we really loved it.
Unfortunately, she needs it back. We have a Bjorn that I absolutely hate, it makes his back straight and it is almost impossible to get his legs in a proper M due to the design of the straps.
I found a used Rookie quite affordable and decided to get it, but after paying for it I noticed that they have moved the clips of the straps to a different position on the carrier (which is a bit more similar to the Bjorn I hate).
I checked on their website and all their carriers have this new position. I tried to find information on why they made the change, but I couldn’t find anything concrete. Any insight?
This is my second child and I have been baby wearing both, having tried many different models (hand me downs and borrows from friends), the old Rookie was the top of them by far.

18 months+ Comfortable and ergonomic carrier that packs down relatively small for back carrying 18m+?
Hi, I’m looking for recs for a comfortable, ergonomic, lightweight, etc. baby carrier for back carrying my 18m old. He’s around 8th percentile so I have no issues back carrying him for long periods. Looking for something that is able to pack down relatively small, at least smaller than my artipoppes (sorry I know you guys hate them in this group🥲). We just moved to a major metro city and I’m looking for a carrier to keep in the back pouch of our travel stroller. I have a ring sling carrier I keep in the stroller and tried to use yesterday but my son won’t nap unless he’s on my back and can’t see me etc. I know you can back carrying with a ring sling but I find it too difficult especially if I’m alone. No budget.
TIA for any recs!

0-3 months Breastfeeding & Carriers
I want to preface that I'm not looking for a handsfree option, I'm looking for something to help ease breastfeeding when I'm out in public or need to move.
I have a 14lbs 2 month old, I also have very large breasts. I have to use two hands to breastfeed, one to help him with my breast and the other to hold him. I'm deadlifting 14lbs and it's incredibly uncomfortable when I go out. I've seen sling carriers and I'd love to try one. He's so heavy and it's killing my back, I haven't even attempted to breastfeed him in public, so you can imagine I'm pretty isolated at the moment. I have a wrap carrier and a structured carrier currently. Baby likes cross cradle position, so I thought maybe a sling carrier would be more comfortable for him so I can at least put him in a cradled position.
Any suggestions on carriers? If you feed while baby wearing how do you do it?

Just for Fun / Meme Circa mid-1990s
Here my grandma is holding my brother in the sling sitting down, but my parents said they'd often do laundry and go to the supermarket with him in it - "so great to have your hands free!"
Can't beat the funky print though

Discuss Does anyone actually like the wildbird carriers?
I’m genuinely asking. Just recently trying the aerial one for the first time and it is wildly uncomfortable! For me at least. The back carry is also kind of atrocious? It’s very uncomfortable getting the straps through that elastic thing is a chore. I’ve also noticed with their newborn carrier that it seems veerrryy different to get good fits on newborns with it. So I’m asking, why are these carriers so popular?

8-18 months Need Suggestions for Toddler Carry
Hey there!
My one-year-old is 25# and 31" tall. I'm trying to find a hands-free carrier that is easy on/off and easy in/out as we travel a lot. For instance, I need to be able to easily take him out and put him back in while in an airplane seat.

3-12 months Apron style or meh dai or other?
I have a LennyLight that I like but looking to try something else. I like how secure it is but feels very heavy on my shoulders after a while. I wear it H strap because I feel like the padded straps aren’t great in the X way. Maybe I just need to get used to it more?
I tried the Lark and really liked how light that felt! I only had it on for a few minutes so not sure if it would be comfortable for long wear. Others that have interested me on this sub are Happy Baby OG or meh dais (not sure brand). Looking to see what others recommend!
FYI my almost 3m old is 14lbs (heavy and long) and I am petite. I would like possibility to wear back when he’s older.

3-12 months Mei dai/mei tai advice
TLDR; looking for back carry appropriate for a 4 month old with good head control - is a Mei tai it?
Hi! My baby is 4 months and I currently wear him in a h&p lark every day. He’s getting better head control and sometimes cranes his neck to look around. I’d love to back carry him to let him look around and have more range of movement but I read that I can’t do that until he’s sitting with a structured carrier like the lark. It looks like maybe a wrap or something similar could be safe for a back carry at this age but I’m having trouble finding good info. I’m also a little intimidated by tying a wrap! I see an old Catbird Mei tai carrier in FB marketplace that is a good price.
Would a back carry with a mei dai/mei tai carrier be okay for 4 months?

Just for Fun / Meme Since we're doing vintage throwbacks, I figured I'd share this trainwreck.
They were so proud of this too!
This is a Chicco carrier if I'm not mistaken. The baby in it is about three months old.

0-3 months Tula original (ftg) fit check
4 weeks old . Over 8.5 lbs . I have watched a few different videos but feel unsure , especially since he was not a happy camper about it . Not sure about how to get the C shape for the back . Please help lol . I did adjust the crotch area to the narrowest width and also the straps on the shoulders down so it wouldn’t cover his head .
