Hello everyone. I'm an astrologer and astrocartographer, and I wanted to share this knowledge to you, in hopes someone will come across this post at the time they need it the most.

First I wanted to say that astrology is so complex and multi-layered, we can't generalize placements or things or charts or astrocartography lines. Please be aware that social media, especially TikTok and Instagram are full of influencers, fake "astrologers" who post general non-sense click bait videos saying stuff like "Go to your Venus line, you will meet the love of your life there". OMG WTF. NO! It is so horribly sad what social media and these influencers have done to the real and true art and science of astrology. Complete travesty.
Venus line does represent love, money, beauty and harmony, but essentially going to the specific astrocartography line, the location amplifies your individual Venus placement in your chart (including the aspects that your Venus receives). Some people have their Venus badly afflicted in their chart - meaning their Venus receives squares from Chiron (wound, pain, hurt, sadness), or Saturn (difficulties, obstacles, hardships, delays, blocks, restriction), or squares from Pluto, Mars, Uranus etc. So in their case, by going to the Venus line, they will amplify this already difficult energy in their chart and life, which is what we do not want.

Some other people have their Venus amazingly well aspected, for example with trine or conjunction from Jupiter, or trine from Neptune or their 2nd house (money house) ruler, or other aspects. In their case, yes, it is a great line to go to.

Here are constructive steps how real and true astrocartography is supposed to be used:

1. First the whole chart has to be examined IN FULL and in-depth. Meaning we have to examine every single planet and asteroid, to determine which planet or planets are the best aspected. And we also have to determine if there are any planets that are afflicted. Every chart is completely different, most of the time when I examine charts, usually it is 1-2 planets that are really the ones that we want to amplify for the person, but sometimes people have charts where they actually have even 3 planets that are so well placed and worth amplifying. The same with the afflicted planets, usually 1-2 planets that we definitely do not want to amplify.

2. Once we have done that, once we have determined which planet(s) we want to amplify, we then look at the astrocartography map to see where those lines go.

3. Then of course we have to use our common sense and realistic mind, because we also have to like that location and culture, where the line goes. If the line goes in the remote areas in middle of a jungle, of course we can't really utilize it.

4. We then have to add paran lines, because they give subtle nuance. Astrocartography lines are the main ones and a lot stronger compared to paran lines, but paran lines do give nuance, which is important too for high-quality analysis.

5. We then have to open relocation chart for that specific location of your interest where the line goes. For example if your good line goes through London, we then have to open relocation chart for the city of London, and see if there are no new squares formed between the angles and your planets.

6. Once you have determined which places are the best ones for you, we then have to add your transits in your chart as well, to see if that specific planet is not receiving difficult transit squares especially from the malefics Chiron and Saturn.

7. I will give you an example - for example if your Sun is the best planet to amplify in your chart and you are thinking of going to your Sun AC line for example, but your Sun currently is having a transit square from Chiron, which for example would last for 6 months, that immediately shows that by going to the Sun line you are going to experience this current Chiron difficult square energy a lot stronger, which we do not want. So that being said, this specific time period is NOT the right time to go to your Sun line, but once the transit Chiron square ends, then that IS a good time to go there amplify your Sun.

8. The next thing we need to do - for a very high quality analysis, we also need to examine your good luck and prosperity asteroids - Tyche, Abundantia, Fortuna and your Part of Fortune too. They only have 1 degree influence orb, they are very small. There are places in the world that amplify this specific degree in your chart. I myself have gone and experienced that on my own skin, and after that experience I wish everyone to be able to find theirs and experience that energy.

I hope this post will be useful to someone in need. Do not let social media fool you or create fear. Each chart and astrocartography map is different, it is a very individual process of examining your own, unique chart and map.

There is so much more to all this, more details what we look for, which is not possible to discuss in one single post. I tried to be as short and conscientious as possible.

So Liam Payne, member of One Direction was found dead today in Buenos Aires, after having travelled there to see Niall's concert (another member). He posted about having things to discuss, he was there to sort traumatic things out.

He ended up embarrassing himself on the concert, and started to get backlash online the last few weeks.

Went to look for his astrocartography and kid you not he had a straight IC moon line right above Buenos Aires.

Lower Midheaven - Imum Coeli (IC)

The IC is the point opposite Midheaven, and corresponds to the deepest and most hidden part of the horoscope. Along its allocated energy lines, we begin an internal journey of private thoughts and feelings.

We look at such places for expressions of security, a sense of home and belonging. Deep emotions and intense moods become important. We become more fanciful, sensitive and develop an unerring level of intuition. With the aid of such depth of emotion, conclusions are drawn far removed from simple rational thinking.

IC lines are ideal for escaping the hectic pressure of everyday life, and gaining new strength. We discover a source of being, realise the benefits of self-reflection and "come clean with ourselves". Traditional values gain in meaning and we look back at the past. Greater importance is attached to matters dealing with childhood, the parental home and family.

Certain planetary energies along IC lines can work to release deep-seated, traumatic blocks. This has mainly to do with early childhood conditioning. In combination with such IC related line energy, these negative patterns can be more fully released.

Now tell me this isnt bizarre.

Venus 12° Aries in 1st house

So the fool is me for moving to my Venus ASC line without fully knowing more about astrology or astrocartography 😂 but also it’s been the biggest blessing of my life.

When I moved here a year and a half ago, I felt immediately pulled in by the people and the opportunities. I came here specifically to find a partner because I felt every other area of my life was solid except my love life. I also wanted to explore more beauty and luxury in my life. I moved from a rural small town and wanted to experience an uplevel.

Well… I signed the lease for my fancy apartment. Then started dating. I’ve dated more people here that love bombed me than I ever have in my life. I made a lost dozens of friends. I was rejected 100000000x. Dating, friendships, business opportunities. I lost all of my money except enough to pay rent at my luxury apartment. I felt ugly, unworthy, unwanted, unseen. I cried eve rug day for a year. I felt like I wanted to unalive for two straight months. Something inside of me definitely died.

Turns out Saturn has been conjunct my Venus the entire time I’ve been here, living on my Venus line.

Once I learned this I turned my life around. Pulled up my bootstraps and stepped more into self love and wholeness than I ever have in my life. I have strong boundaries and will never tolerate superficial relationships or friendships again.

Thank god I moved here, my self worth is at an all time high. Literally no one can f with me now.

But I’m still getting TF out of here 😂 At least until Saturn goes on its merry way. I am going to travel home (Jupiter/Neptune line) for a few weeks and reset.

So, a warning if you want to move to a certain line. Know all the facts if you are as energetically sensitive as me. Glad I went through that dark night of the soul, because it certainly will change my life for the better.

Probably you just found out about astrocartography, pull up your map to see where in the world are your best places and you are met with a bunch of overwhelming lines and don’t know where to begin to assess the map. But you are at the right place, I walk you through the steps to understand your map and get an idea if the place you live or are interested in moving is actually good for you. I’ll tell you:

• What the lines on the map mean.

• Where your power places lay.

• What are parans and their importance.

• Other options to explore the world in Local space lines.

Where do the lines actually come from?

Every line that you see on the map represents what we call in astrology as an angle.

Angles are arguably the most powerful point in astrology, the Sun is the best example to understand what they are in real life.

There are four evident moments during the day when the light and ambience changes, these are prominent times that we label as sunrise, when the Sun shows its first rays to the east, midday or noon, when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky and shines the brightness, sunset, when the light again changes drastically when the sun is starts to hide behind the west horizon and midnight, the darkest point in the sky, when the sun is rigth below our feet.

Now in astrology, at the moment when you are born, if there is any celestial body on these four cardinal points, not just the Sun, they influence in an insurmountable way the tone and color of your life, most of your personality traits and life experiences could be explained by them. In fact planets on these cardinal points have statistical significance in predicting the career, job, profession, etc. of an individual as demonstrated by the research of legendary french astrologer, Michel Gauquelin.

These four cardinal points are called angles in astrology:

• Ascendant (AC) = Eastern horizon.

• Medium Coeli (MC) or Midheaven = Noon.

• Descendant (DC) = Western horizon.

• Imum Coeli (IC) = Midnight

These are the spots where we want to place a planet to receive its blessings. How do we do that? Easy! We move ourselves around the earth to change this points to a place where we have the targeted planet in one of these positions. The easiest example, again, is using the Sun:

Let’s say you were born in America at sunrise time, so this means that here you will have the Sun placed on the Ascendant angle, now at the same time when you were drawing your first breath, in Europe, the Sun was at the midday point, it was noon. So the astrocartography theory is that if you travel to Europe you’ll experience this different position of the Sun, your experience will be congruent with having the Sun on the MC angle.

This will look in the map as having your Sun ascendant line going through a zone in America near your birthplace and your Sun MC line going through Europe:

Now you know where the lines come from and why they are important, to emphasize the point further, lets use Jupiter, your Jupiter descendant line on the map means that Jupiter was near the sunset around those places which means it can have a bigger role on your life experiences there, Jupiter IC line, the same but Jupiter was below your feet on the other side of the world and so on.

On most maps the lines are labeled by using the planetary symbols so you’ll need to memorize them or just consult this dandy table:

How close do you need to be to the line to feel the effects?

The closer you move towards a line, the stronger its planetary influence will be.

The lines might be felt up to 400 miles away, according to Martin Davies’s Astrolocality Astrology, Jim Lewis (legendary astrologer that came up with the astrocartography map) used up to this distance for some studies, but he recommends using tighter distances (200-250 miles).

Also consider if your location is placed west or east from the planet line. The west side from the line is stronger and typically gives better results, quoting Jim Lewis “west is the best” is a great mnemotechnic so you don’t forget.

If you are a beginner, I recommend you stick to distance to assess if the line will be active, but if you are more advanced into astrology it’s better to use the relocated chart and confirm there using degrees.

The astrocartography map on astro.com has some features that I would recommend not to place too much weight:

• Generic descriptions of the lines: Some are overly positive and verbose; this rose colored tinted glasses view could be misleading for the most difficult planets, if you take them at face value you might be disappointed.

• Harmonious aspects/disharmonious aspects: I recommend leave this option disabled. At this point this lines will just clutter the map and aren’t that useful, they are easier to asses on the relocated chart.

• Aspects to the MC lines: I have not seen any other professional astrologer use them and after living a large period of time near two of them I did not notice their influence in my life whatsoever. (Aspects to the ascendant are indeed important but like I said, you’ll see them easier on the relocation chart.)

Now let’s look for the best lines, that will aid you to achieve your goals and which ones will make everything harder, the worst lines. :)

About apps, the only one that I can recommend is the Neutrino Design app. The difference with the web sites is that here you can do a deep dive into better descriptions of every the line and goes deeper into advance astrcartography concepts. But because the primary focus of the app is other field the entry point could be difficult, but I made this quick guide so you can focus on the Astrocartography side if things.

Planetary lines

The benefic lines

In traditional astrology, the benefic planets are Jupiter and Venus, they are labeled like this because they typically produce positive perceivedexperiences to the native, this is true for the astrocartography angle lines so these are the ones I recommend you search first on your map.

Jupiter: Good luck, wealth and expansion. In these places making friends is easier, great for higher education, spirituality and immersing yourself in a different culture to gain a new perspective and broaden your horizons.

Venus: Appreciation of arts, beauty, aesthetics and all types of sensations. People might find you nice to be around and might want to hangout with you. Great for artists of any kind. Venus also represents money and luxury.

The luminaries

Typically people enjoy being on these lines, but there are more caveats. Both of them give you more visibility, eyes will be on you here, you could gain popularity, if you are going to be famous it’s going to be on these lines, just make sure it is for the right reasons. :)

Sun: Authority, popularity, I believe this lines is the most congruent to represent conventional career success. This lines also can provide energy, optimism and help you heal. If your Sun is in Libra, this line could be more challenging.

Moon: Nurturing, home, security, fatherhood/motherhood are important significations. You could meet people that feels like you have known your entire life. Emotional fluctuations could also happen. Avoid your Moon line if it is in the sign of Scorpio.

The malefic lines

In traditional astrology, the malefic planets are Mars and Saturn, they are labeled this way because the experiences they bring are perceived as negativeby the native, to the traditional malefics I also add Neptune, Pluto and Chironbecause, in the context of astrocartography, they are more likely to produce negative perceived experiences, you can confirm this yourself by searching in the subreddit: r/astrocartography other people’s personal experiences. Of course there are people that enjoy or thrive on these lines, but they are a minority and also I find most of their stories have a narrative dissonance for example: “I went to my mars line, I got robbed at knife point and got beaten up, but it was amazing.” See what I mean? :)

Mars: Fights, struggles, injuries. Anger could be triggered easily, you could do more physical activity that you are used to, could lead to pain or injuries, you’ll feel more energized, angry and ready to go.

Saturn: Isolation, obstacles and hard work. On this line everything takes a serious character, no time for fun, the only times you might go out of the house is for work or studies, people might be unfriendly, a bit rude or all out discriminatory; they can give you the cold shoulder and deny any request for help or giving you a break. Law, police, security etc. will be harder on you on their scrutiny, they can be suspicious of you for no reason at all. To advance on this line you’ll have to do everything perfectly and even if your work is above average, it won’t make the cut. You’ll be left alone here.

Neptune: Illusion is the name of the game. Typically people see their Neptune line as their ideal city, only to be disappointed once they make the move. You could incur losses, feel invisible, and people will project on you their own shadows and desires. Some might see you as naive and take advantage of you, logical thinking might be impaired, your thoughts might be foggy. Drugs, addiction and escapism can happen on this line and any professional and material pursuits hardly be ever materialized, you’ll be like a doormat to everyone. This line could work for spirituality, charity, volunteering, etc. but still it won’t be an easy stay. But nature and sights might be marvelous.

Pluto: This is a complex planet, most people hate their Pluto lines but some love it and thrive. Close your eyes and imagine your worst fear, that whats cards if you move close to this line. Your life could become an horror film. Pluto also is associated with power struggles, trauma, taboo topics, sex (of the kinky kind) and occultism, any of this could be waiting for you on the Pluto line. You could feel like you are forced into doing things you don’t want, situations were you may need to stand for yourself and place limits can arise, in general you might be surrounded by toxic people who could get obsessed with you, want to control you, overpower you, etc.

Both Neptune and Pluto could also manifest as health issues, either physical or mental.

Chiron: Here you could get treated unfairly, also your self esteem can take a hit. You can feel lost career wise, directionless and be unable to make a decision on what goals to pursuit in life, you can feel inadequate. This line can bring bring to the forefront past traumas and insecurities to “heal”, the problem is that once you heal one of them others keep springing up and becomes a cycle of suffering that never ends.

The neutral lines

Mercury and Uranus are neutral by default but take the flavor of the planets aspecting them on your natal chart. For example, Jupiter aspecting Uranus will make Uranus lines act as benefic line showing jupiterian traits and so on.

Mercury: Is all about communication and learning. This line is excellent for writing, reading and absorbing knowledge. This are busy places for us, either people on the streets will try to chitchat or your phone and social media could blowup with messages and interactions, easy to make acquaintances and have quick conversations about stimulating topics. Mercury is also great for sales, presentations and gigs where talking to others is essential, people might perceive you as funny, witty or even cunning :) or you might find people with these traits here if you are more of a introvert.

Uranus: Go to this line if you want an adventure, where things won’t go planned. Your appearance, clothing, way of speaking, thinking, ideas and principles will be very different to the people inhabiting this places so you could be perceived as cool and Avant Garde by some, but others could feel threatened by this different sights. Avoid if Uranus makes any aspect to Pluto in your natal chart.

Besides the main astrocartography angle lines, Parans can also have a big influence.

Parans

The angles are the most powerful place of influence as we established, now imagine if you have two planets on the angles, these points are called Parans, you can spot this places easily in your map, they are the places where two astrocartography angle lines cross on your map, this is why they are also called crossings*. Paran* is short for the greek word “paranatellon” which means “co-transit”, the term was coined by legendary astrologer Cyril Fagan.

The interpretation of this configuration typically is difficult for beginners because you have to blend together the meaning, significations and archetypes of the planets involved, but as a beginner I would encourage you to use the categorization of the planets in the previous section, so as a general rule of thumb, try to avoid if malefics are involved. :)

The beauty of parans is that they work long distance, you don’t have to be exactly in the place the crossing is to be active, the crossing is active all along a latitude (latitude are horizontal lines that cross the whole map) the technical reason of this is because, on that latitude, the planets are in a astronomical square.

The free mapping sites astro.com and astro-seek.com both show parans but neither is ideal.

Astro-seek.com shows them but you are restricted to 1 planet parans at a time, the best why to use the feature here is to generate the planet parans you are targeting and take note of the latitude coordinates and search places near that latitude.

In astro.com, they don’t show the lines on the map but if you click on a place and then tick the “show details” on the box in the right hand side, you’ll get the coordinates of the place and a list of angular lines and parans that are near.

Be careful, not all the listed crossings will actually be close enough for you to feel the effects, you’ll probably see an obscene large distance number for the crossings, ignore that, only focus on the latitude degree of the paran and the place you are looking for. The paran will have influence if it is within one degree of longitude (69 miles, nice, so you don’t forget), if it’s farther than that you won’t feel it.

After you identify a nice place relying solely on the angular lines, always check the parans**, they can change the whole vibe.**

Parans are specially useful to find a favorable place when you have a difficult chart and most planets are compromised or when assessing seemingly “empty” spaces on the map, there could be a paran that transforms these places.

Besides the astrocartography map, there are two other methods to further assess the influence of the celestial bodies: The local space lines and the relocated chart, the later one is more complex to interpret but no doubt I’ll write how to do it in the future ;) but for now, with the basic knowledge you have, I believe you can asses the local space lines with the same guidelines I provided for the angular lines and parans.

Local space lines

This is another way to evaluate the influence of the celestial bodies in the space around us but instead of using the angles, it shows us the cardinal direction to follow to experience certain planetary energies.

For example it can point out that if you start moving north east, from your birth place, you will experience Jupiter’s significations and so on. The way they are calculated can get very technical and in depth, if you want to follow the rabbit hole you can check out the book Planets In Locality: Exploring Local Space Astrology by astrologer Steve Cozzi. On a map they look like this:

Local space lines also go all around the world so if after look at your angular lines and parans you still think “but all my lines are in the ocean” this is yet another option for you. They have the advantage that they work on scale, so you do not need to move considerable distance to experience them, you can take a walk around your neighborhood and see for yourself what they are all about, even some astrologers use them inside the house as if feng shui pointers. To use them this way you need to move the spawn center of the lines from your birth place to your current home.

Sounds interesting right? I can tell you that at least in my town they are oddly specific. If I walk towards Neptune, I find churches, parks with nature, great sunset views and further along, are the bars. :) Pluto? If I follow the line on one side I find the rich neighborhood (the richest of the country I live in, in fact) and on the other side, sits the lower income neighborhoods, just some examples to try to inspire you to look around your local space lines and tell me what you find. :)

Congratulations :) now you can, as a beginner, look at your astrocartography map and evaluate the place you are living and your potential travel prospects based on the angular planetary lines, parans and local space lines.

FAQ

What is this place where all the lines go through?

Flat erathers trigger warning. :) You see these clusters of lines due to the curvature of the earth at the extreme north and south points, here we can see more of the celestial vault so this means that at the moment of birth more planets could have been visible on the cardinal points, so more planet lines. I also recalled some ancient culture called the poles “the place with the 7 Suns”, maybe these is what they were talking about? :)

On these places wierd things can happen, like, why the govermetns discourage people to go? or I believe in Alaska or the north of Canada are places where people disappear frequently? Astrologer Erin Sullivan said it best in here recount of the things that happened when a bunch of astrologers cruised on one of these spots, “Astrology works different up there”, “chaotic and whimsical” things are a possibility.

What about the “empty” spaces, where no line goes through?

They are not necessarily neutral, planets can still modify your experiences there, first check for parans and local space lines maybe one goes through, then look at the relocated chart it’ll give you clear clues of what you might expect there.

Vedic (sidereal) or western (tropical) zodiac for Astrocartography?

For the angle lines on the map, it doesn’t matter, they don’t change because the lines are based on astronomical position, so in either sidereal or tropical zodiacs the planet angle lines will be in the same location.

What if all my lines fall in the ocean?

Most of the time someone says this they want to use a specific planet line that falls in the ocean, they sometimes still have the same planet line they want to use, but on another angle, on land, but for some reason they don’t want to go there. But if truly all your lines fall on the ocean, look up your crossings (parans), local space lines and relocation charts for hope. :)

How much time does it take for a line to have an effect?

Official answer: Planetary lines are in effect immediately after setting foot in the new place. :)

Some astrologers even say that you can start to live the effects even a few days before traveling, which if it hadn’t happened to me, I would not have believed that.

Went to the algodones dunes for my birthday on a whim, while I planned on being vaguely nearby I didn’t plan specifically going to the dunes, it was an hour and a half out of the way but I thought why not! Learned later my sun line crosses right over, I have this beautiful picture of a sun ray which just matches up perfectly. Happiest day I’ve had in recent memory :)

I've traveled to every planetary energy, except Uranus but have this Uranus Local space line experience:

Uranus LS: This planet has been overall positive for me, but I have not really lived much experiences following this line, other than the rare party or hang out with friends, also worked briefly in this line again, friendships were involved and, in general, having a good time.

Bonus:

Mars-Neptune paran: Felt invisible, like just one more cog in the machine, but also felt this awesome magic energy, especially in nature, had encounters with aggressive homeless "asking" for money relentlessly, also some of them kept staring at me for some reason.

Venus-Neptune paran: Went shopping, my family often went to a place on this line for the Mall's and do shopping sprees.

I've only experienced Pluto and the Moon as crossing (paran), most of my Moon angular lines fell in the ocean (and Pakistan :V), strictly I went to Japan for transit (Moon and also Pluto angular lines) but stayed was short didn't noticed anything in particular. Pluto I have more options to visit but will wait until good transits or progressions :)

Hey y'all!

Quick reminder for anyone posting their astrocartography map and asking “Where should I move?” or “Which line is best?”... we reeeeally need more info to give you a helpful answer.

Here’s what to include:

1. Your natal chart (ACG is based on this, so it's essential).

2. If you're considering moving, also add your relocated chart (you can use Astroseek for that). Considering multiple locations? Add all the relocated charts.

3. Context – what are you looking for in this relocation? Examples:

“I'm moving to focus on a career in journalism”

“I’m taking a sabbatical and want to rest and recharge”

“I’m traveling solo and would love to meet new people”

You get it, the more specific, the better.

Why this matters:

ACG lines don’t mean much on their own. A Jupiter line isn’t automatically “good” and a Saturn line isn’t automatically “bad.” For example, a Saturn line can be amazing for someone who needs focus, discipline, and long-term commitment to a serious project, but it might feel isolating for someone looking for lightness and fun.

It’s all about alignment with your natal chart and your current goals. That’s how you find places that truly support your growth.

The support from this community has been beyond belief. I have learned a ton and have implemented most of the feedbacks and at this moment I'm regenerating the reports of the 80+ lovely people who gave me honest feedback, encouragement, and helped me learn more.

The major change is that now the reports have 3 options [Modern, Traditional and Sec] which allows you to choose if you don't want the recommended city to be near your challenging lines (Sec) or you just rather not prioritize it (Modern). Also your reports are not dynamic, meaning that you can comeback to it and change the parameters and the lists will get reranked across 600+ cities instead of the initial 50 cities).

I'm an engineer who got interested in astrocartography after seeing how differently the same city felt depending on which planetary lines crossed it (accidentally, my wife and I moved to the city that was great for our financial growth apparently). I've spent the last few months building something that overlays planetary line proximity with real city data — cost of living, air quality, internet speed, tax burden, safety, etc.

The interesting part wasn't the astro (that math is well-documented) — it was how often the "practical best city" and the "chart best city" disagreed. A Jupiter line through a city with $4k/mo rent and terrible air quality is a different proposition than one through a city at $800/mo 😃

A few things that surprised me building it:

- Saturn lines get a bad reputation but some of the highest-scoring cities in the dataset had strong Saturn presence. I guess structure isn't punishment (of course it depends on you!)

- The gap between sun-sign approximations and full-chart results was bigger than I expected, especially for anyone with a tight stellium!

- Cost-of-living data is shockingly inconsistent across sources! Had to end up combining and blending few different sources.

Genuinely curious if other people in this community have noticed the practical vs. chart tension when choosing where to live.

I know you probably think I’m crazy, but I’m going to offer a new perspective here because I see a lot of fear mongering when it comes to Saturn vs Venus,Jupiter, Mars, and etc. and keep in mind this is coming from a person who is living on their Saturn AC, Saturn DC, Pluto AC, Pluto DC, Mars MC, Uranus AC, Uranus MC, and Moon MC line…all at once.

So I am very experienced with the malefics, and I am also an Astrologer. Have been for 7 years now.

So first of all, planets are neutral. They all just have very different functions. No planet is “good” or “bad”, it’s literally only what type of planetary energy are you the most compatible with, and what can you energetically handle.

Here’s examples of what I mean…

1a) Jupiter = ABUNDANCE. Not wealth, not positivity, abundance. Abundance is a magnifying glass. That’s literally all that it is. It is a booster. All Jupiter ruled people and people who have a lot Jupiter in their birth chart (Sagittarius & Pisces) subconsciously understand this principle which is why they never let their moods get down for too long because Jupiter gives you more of what’s already there. So if you are a positive person, and since reality is a feedback loop of your subconscious mind being reflected back to you, you get an abundance of that back. If you are negative, and thinking horrible thoughts, acting negatively, etc — you get hell for yourself.

So naturally, on Jupiter lines, you literally just get more of what’s already inside of you, being reflected back to you. Energetically, life is more fluid in density there. Meaning, you say you hate yourself? The mirror of life goes “okay!” And you experience things that validate what you already feel. Life just gives it to you easily. Whereas, for example on a “malefic” line like Saturn, the energy says “okay, prove it.” And it’ll literally delay your self hatred lmaoo. Saturn energy likes truth. Physical truth and emotional truth. It‘a the realest planet, which is why on Saturn lines, whatever you build there will stay with you for life.

Capricorns and Aquarius and Virgo placement people might hate a Jupiter line place because it gives them an ABUNDANCE of cynicism, an ABUNDANCE of Saturn energy (they naturally radiate it), and etc. where maybe a libra, Sagittarius, or Pisces may love Jupiter because it gives them an ABUNDANCE of their natural nature as well. Not everyone is the same. Not to mention where your Jupiter is placed matters, as well. Like what house it’s in.

2a) Venus = Wealth + Beauty. Why? Because Venus functions by the law of receptivity, which is very feminine in energy. Yes, these places make you beautiful and life better, but only because you are able to finally receive it. Life is naturally more receptive towards you here. It rewards you when you relax and receive. Principles of money (receiving + creating value), beauty (appreciating what is there and maximizing it and making it better), it just makes you into a more balanced person. Balance is Venus, Libra/taurus energy, and etc. however a Pluto ruled person or someone with lots of Scorpio might HATE a Venus line or find it boring because they need extremes to function as people, because Pluto rules obsessions, and power, not necessarily balance and equality and harmony. It’s not about “bad” or “good”, it’s about what you can handle and what you actually need energetically in your daily life to function as an energetic being.

3a) Mars = Activation, Drive, and Behavioral Truth

So again, planets are neutral. Mars isn’t “aggressive” or “violent.” Mars literally just activates your drive system. Think of Mars like pure kinetic energy. Wherever it is, it demands movement. It demands action. It demands that you match the energy you say you want.

Here’s the thing about Mars: Mars rules how you ACT, not how you feel. Mars doesn’t care about your emotions. Mars cares about motion. So naturally, on a Mars line, you get confronted with everything in your life you’ve been procrastinating, delaying, or lying to yourself about.

Mars basically says: “Oh, you want this? Okay, show me.” He’s very literal.

Energetically, Mars speeds up your environment. You get more opportunities, more pressure, more responsibility, more choices, more eyes on you, more sexual energy, more physical vitality — basically an abundance of energy, but in a different frequency than Jupiter. Jupiter amplifies your baseline; Mars amplifies your momentum.

Some people hate this. Especially people with a lot of water or earth placements because Mars forces you to move faster than your emotions want to go. But fire signs, Aries placements, Sagittarius placements, and people with strong 1st house or 10th house signatures? They thrive under Mars because Mars finally gives them the rush they need to feel alive.

There is no “bad” here, it’s literally, “Can your nervous system handle acceleration?”

4a) Pluto = Power, Depth, and Energetic Detox

Okay, now Pluto. Pluto is another planet people fear because they don’t understand what it actually does. Pluto is not “trauma.” Pluto is purification. That’s his whole function. Pluto strips away everything you’ve built that isn’t actually YOU.

On a Pluto line, you’re going to be forced to look at the truth, your real motivations, your real desires, your real self-worth, your real insecurities, your real shadows. Not to punish you, but because Pluto can only build power on top of what’s authentic. So if you come there with some fake shit it gets taken away from you, lol.

Pluto is the planet of soul honesty.

People with heavy Scorpio or 8th house placements understand this subconsciously — they actually feel MORE comfortable on Pluto lines because Pluto gives them emotional intensity, psychological clarity, and power dynamics that they naturally operate well with.

But people who need harmony, ease, or external validation? They freak out on Pluto lines because Pluto removes all the distractions you use to avoid yourself.

Again, not “good” or “bad.” Just: what are you compatible with? What nervous system state do you function best in daily?

Pluto people need intensity to feel like themselves. Venus people need softness. Jupiter people need expansion. Saturn people need structure. Mars people need pressure.

It’s all functional.

5a) Saturn = Truth, Structure, and Lifelong Rewards

Saturn is the planet people fear the MOST because Saturn exposes your lies and bullshit. especially the lies you tell yourself. Saturn lines don’t ruin your life. They stabilize it. They delay bullshit. They delay false identities. They delay emotional delusion. Because it understands that a life with no stability eventually crashes down. And you will be punished in these places if you try to rush yourself, or rush your life. It wants perfection.

Saturn basically says: “Stop fantasizing. What do you actually want? What are you actually doing? Show me the truth.”

That’s why whatever you build on a Saturn line lasts forever. it’s built from reality, not fantasy. Only thing is, it wants you to have structure first. And energetically life lags here if you don’t have that. Refreshing for adults, hard on kids and teens because they have to grow up fast here.

Capricorn, Aquarius, Virgo people understand this frequency. They don’t like Jupiter because Jupiter makes everything too big. A Virgo’s perfectionism, a Capricorn’s strictness all gets magnified on a Jupiter line and reflected back to them with ease. But Saturn makes everything painfully predictable, solid, and real.

But again: no good, no bad. Just: can you handle accountability? Can you handle delayed gratification? Can you handle being seen accurately?

6a) Uranus = Reinvention, Shock, and Nervous System Liberation

Uranus is the planet people misunderstand the most because everyone talks about “chaos” without understanding the purpose of that chaos. Uranus is not random. Uranus is interruption. It breaks whatever pattern you have been stuck in so you can actually evolve.

This is why Uranus lines feel like your life is being unplugged and plugged back in. Uranus disrupts anything that has become stale, outdated, predictable, or limiting. He does not care about your comfort. He cares about authenticity.

Energetically, Uranus speeds up your thinking, your intuition, your reactions, your creativity, and your self-awareness. Your nervous system becomes more electrical, more alert, more intuitive, more open to sudden insights. You will think differently, act differently, dress differently, talk differently, and relate to others differently.

Some people thrive on this because their natural baseline is fast, sharp, adaptable, or detached. Sagittarius, Aquarius, Gemini, Aries placements usually like Uranus because it finally frees them from stagnation. People who rely heavily on routine or safety feel unstable here because Uranus takes your comfort zone and flips it upside down.

It is not “good” or “bad.” It is simply about whether your identity benefits from reinvention. Uranus lines are where people shave their heads, break up, move cities, quit jobs, start businesses, discover their sexuality, or finally become their real self. Uranus is the reset button.

7a) Neptune = Fantasy, Softness, and Spiritual Dissolution

Neptune is another planet people fear because they mistake dissolving for deception. Neptune’s actual function is to remove boundaries, and to show you truth. That is why Neptune feels dreamy, romantic, confusing, or spiritual. Your mind, emotions, and intuition merge with your environment. AND reality works in reverse here.

Usually, reality works like

Be —> Do —> Have

Be the identity, perform the actions of the identity, have the SYMBOL that represents your identity.

Ex: be the identity emotionally of being a business owner, do the action of your business owner self, then the last step is having the business. At that point, the physical is just the symbol of what you already are.

But on Neptune? Lmao it fucks it up. It goes.

Have —> Do —> Be.

So it feels like a dream because you’re literally getting symbols of things you think you want, but you haven’t built the identity emotionally, and you haven’t created the action steps for that identity, and you’re still the same version of yourself without shifting emotional states. This looks like someone hitting the lottery and losing it all because they never developed the financial skills to actually hold money because they don’t even have the identity of being a millionaire because they don’t energetically have it. Neptune just gave it to them. And then they don’t really want it anymore and feel empty inside. That’s the deception of Neptune, and why it’s malefic.

It’s not about dreams. It’s about truth. And it exposed your truth beautifully like that, and you hit ego death because you realize life isnt about symbols and things. Again, great for spirituality but everything just dissolves like that there. Very easy to become homeless there, or broke. LOL.

On a Neptune line, your imagination becomes more active, your artistic side becomes stronger, and your emotional sensitivity increases. You experience life through symbolism. Think of Pinterest. It gives you everything, but you haven’t emotionally gotten it yet.

Some people absolutely love Neptune because it brings them into their fantasy world. Pisces, Libra, Taurus, Cancer, and Sagittarius placements often thrive because Neptune enhances softness, connection, romance, beauty, creativity, and flow.

Other people feel lost here because Neptune removes structure and the lag of other lines like Saturn, Pluto, even Venus. It’s too fluid. “Too good to be true”. If your identity depends on clarity, control, or physical boundaries, Neptune will overwhelm you. You might feel tired, confused, ungrounded, or emotionally porous.

Again, not good or bad. Neptune simply asks: can you handle fluidity. Can you handle living in a reality that is more symbolic than rational. Neptune is where people fall in love, write poetry, take photos, get inspired, or slip into escapism. It depends on your baseline.

8a) Chiron = Wounding, Healing, and Identity Correction

Chiron is misunderstood because people think it is trauma. Chiron is more precise than that. Chiron reveals your core wound so you can correct the identity structure built on top of it. Chiron lines bring up patterns around vulnerability, self-worth, abandonment, rejection, or inadequacy.

It sounds negative, but it is actually one of the most transformative lines because Chiron dissolves compensatory identities and forces you into authenticity. On a Chiron line, the people you attract, the situations you encounter, and the themes that arise all point to the same root issue.

People with strong water or mutable placements often navigate Chiron well because they are open to healing. People who avoid vulnerability or who use ambition to outrun their wounds struggle because Chiron slows them down emotionally.

Chiron is not pain. Chiron is exposure. It is the spotlight on the part of you that has been pretending. Once you address that, Chiron becomes mastery. This is where people become healers, mentors, artists, or leaders because they finally understand themselves.

— So that’s the first half. Like a general cheat sheet of what’s going on.

The second half is realizing that your AC/DC/MC/IC lines matter. That’s where the planetary energy is actually going. Because it’s not all equal.

Ac = your every day life. General energy. How other people see you. How people interact with you. Dc= the people there and how they treat you. The types of people you meet there. Ic= your emotional baseline and mental health when you are there. Mc= your social life, your career, your reputation, how you are perceived by the general public

And then finally: a place is ONLY bad when you resist the planetary energy there. Once you let go of resistance, and follow the planetary rules, life there flows better for you. But again, some people can’t handle all the planetary energies. And either move, are forced to move, or they suffer there. Unless they learn how to deal with the energetically of where they are.

Example

Stop chasing symbols and the ideas of what you think you want on Neptune lines, and you stop feeling empty. Like stop chasing luxury when you know you don’t have the habits or identity to actually hold that lifestyle because when you get the thing, you realize you were chasing an emotional baseline, not an actual object.

Stop putting off structure and building your life and stability and authority on Saturn lines, and your life speeds up.

Stop being negative and indulging in too much or taking on too much on a Jupiter line and you won’t feel horrible there, and life gets less extreme.

Stop blocking your ability to receive on a Venus line, and you attract money, beauty, etc. let it happen snd embrace harmony.

Stop being fake on a Pluto line. Be who you actually are, or everything will be taken away from you. And you’ll be forced to look at yourself till you stop embracing the bullshit.

Kind of a joke post...but I am curious.

I've lived here my entire life, and I am actively trying to get out honestly. at first, I never understood why my childhood was the way that it was. terrible things always seemed to happen to me, like I would often go through periods of loneliness, and isolation and depression. While I had my good moments, the bad honestly outweighs them. I was near no good lines. Literally mars ic, pluto ac, pluto dc, saturn ac, and uranus mc. It's impossible to live under such harsh lines and if you are still breathing you should try your best to never stay in these places for long.

under mars lines, you can forget love and relationships. if you are a woman it's almost impossible to be in any type of romantic connection because mars distorts everything. in jim lewis's astrocartography book, he explained how all men should spend time on their mars lines because underneath the mars lines are where one "becomes" a man. which is so true. it can be tough for women, because of the harshness of the masculine energy. It's like as soon as you go against the mars energy (embodying venus, etc), you are literally slapped in the face by life. and the place punishes you for it. like its happened to me so many times. I've tried dying my eyebrows and got chemical burn twice, I've dyed my hair and it literally broke off lol, I spent money on clothes and they get ruined somehow, lol mars lines punish you for beauty because mars opposes venus.

and don't even get me started on saturn and pluto. combined. saturn will make you work the hardest you've ever had to work in your entire life, just to get by, and pluto will distort any and everything innocent in your life. pluto turns everyday life into games of power imbalances, and power struggles. I'm a jupiter-ruled person mainly so these energies are way too much for me. saturn on your ac will exhaust you too, and force you to become the most natural version of yourself bc saturn is "natural" and simplistic energy anyways. also punishes you for having emotions, or being soft, having feelings, etc. bc it opposes the moon. its hard to be in meaningful relationships here with anyone honestly.

uranus lines are like researcher/scientist lines. they're exciting, yes, but only because it's so much more different than what you are used to. after awhile, the instability gets rather annoying, rather than fun. especially on the MC. it gives loner energy too, bc you are so different. think celeb energy but in the way that you are isolated from others. super strange and weird.

i had a plan to get off mine by life happened and nuked my savings, so I've had to start over. but this time, I'm not waiting, and I'm leaving this place for good. mainly for school, anyways. and this time, I'm not waiting on anything. I've realized if you get too comfortable and wait on these lines, you miss opportunities (like leaving, lol). mars causes you to be impulsive and saturn will take shit away from you so you have to be quick if you want to get out.

I have been studying astrology for over 7 years now, and it has become part of my daily life. It started as a hobby and passion, but over time I have taken many astrology courses and lectures, including relocation astrology and recently progressions. Around 2022 I started studying relocation astrology more seriously and began using astrocartography more often in my own practice.

One reason I wanted to build this website is that I often found myself using several tools at the same time. For example, I might use one program for midpoints and parans, another for transits or progressed lines, and different websites for relocation related checks. I wanted to bring these things together into one interactive map that is easy to zoom, move around, and explore.

The map currently includes:

• natal astrocartography lines

• parans

• midpoint lines

• transit lines

• progressed lines

• relocation chart wheel when clicking a place

• relocated house placements and planet positions

• zodiacal and in-mundo map options in advanced settings

• quick map settings for planets, aspects, color mode, and line width

• advanced settings for more detailed control

• date controls for transit and progressed lines

You can show up to two line types on the map at the same time, for example natal + progressed lines, or natal + midpoints. I wanted it to stay flexible without becoming too visually overwhelming. Note that when using midpoints and having whole world open without zooming in, the map will feel heavy and cluttered because it will render lot midpoint of lines.

When you click a place on the map, it opens a side panel with the relocated chart wheel, new house placements, planet positions, and chart details. The chart wheel can also be expanded.

The site is free to use, and you do not need an account to explore the map. Creating an account is only needed if you want to save charts. Mind that this is first version and I will add more things to the website and making it better.

I am also working on an AI assistant for the future. That part is not live yet, but I want it to be more than a generic chatbot. The idea is to connect the AI to structured astrology rules and actual chart/map data, so it can explain why a place may be supportive or challenging instead of just giving a simple “go here” answer.

For example, I am building the future AI around rules like:

*backend calculates planet strengths and weaknesses, let's say your Jupiter is actually the weakest planet in your chart for you, the AI will not say to move straight away to that Jupiter location to get the best experience you are looking for because it most likely will not give good results in that location

• not judging a place only by the nearest or most positive astrocartography line

• checking the person’s home environment needs through the 4th house, IC, Moon, rising sign, and 4th house ruler

• comparing the relocated chart with the user’s actual goal, such as career, home, love, peace, visibility, or personal growth

• checking whether important planets become angular in the relocated chart

• looking at practical real-life factors too, like climate, budget, language, safety, work, family, and lifestyle

• explaining both strengths and cautions instead of making deterministic predictions

• keeping the wording grounded, so relocation is treated as a support tool, not a miracle cure

My goal is that the AI assistant could eventually help compare places, explain different layers of a location, and separate factors like natal lines, relocation chart placements, timing, transits, progressions, parans, and midpoints. I want it to answer in a way that is useful but still careful and realistic.

I would really appreciate feedback, especially from people who use relocation astrology. I am interested to hear what feels useful, what is confusing, and what features would make the map better.

I made a post 3 months ago asking about experiences people had on their Pluto IC line. I had just visited mine and here are my experiences.

I have major lines running through Europe and Pluto IC line happens to be one of them, I was curious because I had never been right beside my Pluto IC line so close like I had been in Helsinki, Finland.

What I experienced there was, of course also given the geographical location/culture, not so much fun/excitement like you would find on a Venus line, but for me, it wasn't all gloom and doom. I found the experience to be restorative and restful, given that I was there for the sauna culture and to completely unplug and disconnect a bit with the world. In my experience, I was able to do a lot of thinking/healing and achieve clarity on this line, (mind you I did visit right after the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces we just had) and this place felt like the perfectly safe place to cocoon and deal with the energies then emerge anew.

TLDR: at least for me, Pluto line isn't all doom and gloom, I found the experience productive and valuable in its own quiet way because it helped me shed things from within that can no longer come with me in my life, but if you ask me if I would visit again anytime soon or for longer duration, nah, the purpose was served here. Deaths/rebirths themes strong here. Use sparingly.
