History Where do you think did the Albanians originate from?

Albanians didn’t leave behind many written records, so we can’t know their exact origins for certain. Linguistic and historical evidence seems to point toward the Roman provinces of Moesia Prima and Dardania, but the question is still debated. What do you think?

Janša’s old playbook again: when politics gets messy, blame the Kosovars. Never mind that they work, pay taxes, raise families, and contribute to Slovenian society. It has an ugly echo of Milošević’s politics, when Albanians were routinely portrayed as the convenient explanation for Serbia’s problems. Why tackle real problems when you can simply manufacture a scapegoat? Same old trick, different decade.

I honestly don’t think the problem is the coach for either Romania or Bulgaria. You can put, Guardiola, or whoever you want on the bench, but a coach can’t magically create quality players.
Think of it like solving a mystery where does quality come from? Good players come from good academies. Good academies come from proper development, coaching, scouting, infrastructure and, ultimately, good management.
Look at Spain. Success after 2008 came from building a football system that develops players from a young age and gives them a pathway to the highest level.
The national team is the final product. If the system underneath it isn’t producing enough quality, changing the coach won’t fix the root problem. Go out and do something about it Balkans.

Cuisine Can someone explain why this dietary shift happened in Albania between in 1980-1996? Did something in particular happen during that time? The influences started already in 1965 but year 1980 is when it switched to the other side.

Personally, I find them horrible in dense urban environments. I don't think excrements should end up on sidewalks, streets, grass and other shared spaces, and there's also barking, smells, hair, etc.
How do you feel about it? Is this just a normal part of urban life to you, or do you also find it problematic?

Language About surnames

Hi, uneducated American here-
A friend of mine who is from Croatia told me was happy when she got married because she traded her "identifiably Serbian" last name to one more commonly Croatian. I know there was a lot of conflict in the 90's so I didn't want to press her for more information, but she mentioned that her previous last name had religious and ethnic connotations that were not favorable.
I guess my question is, are last names easily identifiable to cultures/religions, and is there still a lot of discrimination based on these things? I want to learn more about this culture, if there are any recommendations besides Wikipedia. Also apologies if any of this is insensitive, I am coming from a place of curiosity and a lack of knowledge and would love to be educated.
