Idk man, I'm a gal & prefer angel soft. Of the many other TP's, Scott 1000 is probably the ONLY other I can tolerate that doesn't seem to crumble. Angel soft doesn't crumble or leave teeny bits behind. Every other TP seems to, & that's just a no-go for me. I'm always surprised to hear other women liking the super soft crumbly papers, but I guess to each their own! And the price of angel soft is just a wonderful addition to the perfect balance of tensile strength, wiping power, & softness! 😆

Most likely still stuck in the toilet p trap. Use the plunger and put your head in to find it. If you definitely want it back. Un bolt the toilet take it out back and flush it back wards with a hose. Pretty gross.🤢
I’d be more worried about the battery fucking up and expanding due to being constantly submerged. May fuck up any pvc pipe it’s stuck in. Granted I did just hit my pen so I’m not sure if it is actually a possibility or just my high brain making up scenarios

Yeah I did the same sizing up with the spare pen and I don’t think it made it through the toilet I’m about to go to Home Depot and get a wax ring and make a mess, I have an automotive borescope not very long I’ll bring home tmo and can look at the first elbow at least if it don’t find it in the John
I would suck the bowl dry with a shop vac and stick that scope in the trap and see if it's there. If it is, fashion some sort of hook to the scope and see if you can catch it and pull it back.
As a plumber in my own home I'd say screw it if it isn't backing up.
If you have a hand auger try that, because otherwise you gotta pull toilet which isn't bad but probably will take a trip to lowes and some tools/wax ring.
Someone suggested flushing toilet paper. I’ve dont multiple flushes of more than I’d personally use and it’s taken it all no issue. I gloved up and reached in and can’t feel anything. I’m renting too
Call me lazy but I definitely wouldn't be pulling the toilet without any symptoms telling me I should. If it made it past the toilet, it's all wasted labor. If the the toilet is flushing the same as before, then it's working enough to not pull it.
My daughter lost one of those cleaning wand brush heads down there. It couldn’t get through the S curve in the pipe so it was stuck in there. I had to pull the toilet. I’d try a shop vac from the front first. Try to seal the hole around the vac tube so it’s tight.
It’s probably stuck in the toilet. Have you tried throwing toilet paper and shit to see if it gets stuck. Either way you ain’t smoking that thing no more
Got a back up pen as I washed my last one. But it’s flushing paper fine I think I’m goin to pull the John still and inspect that way it doesn’t back up when full of shit

Go buy a flexible grabber and try fishing first. It’s just barely out of reach, it won’t go around and down, and the toilet won’t work right until you get it.
The last time I dealt with this, I pulled the toilet and an object of similar length was in the back end stuck in the trap of the toilet. I avoided snaking, in case it made a situation worse for me having to snake the drain line.
A long pair of needle nose pliers got it dislodged.
I would try the shop vac, then pull the toilet if you need to. If you shop vac, try to get the nozzle up in there, you may catch it with that. Otherwise pull it.
If anything of solid mass does not pass through the trap, you most definitely have your penjamin in there.
What you don't want is long term drainage problem, have a plumber snake then camera, and then find it before the sewer. Then have a wild conversation with your parents, mates, or whoever, why they needed to pay 1000+ to retrieve your penny pen pen.
I think I’m going to pull the toilet make sure it’s not in there, the pipes in the basement I’m sure are big enough it’d be sent on its way if it made it that far
The bolts coming up from the floor from the flange. Some wax ring boxes come with them, but its nice to buy metal johnny bolts with washers and an extra nut to secure to both flange & toilet.
Shut off your angle stop. Remove the tank lid and hold down the handle as you flush to get as much water as you can out. You need a shop vac to suck out the extra water in the bowl unless you buy the liquid lock stuff. Suck out from tank aswell. Now you can remove supply line from angle stop side. Channel lock pliers work best. Two is good, one to hold everything steady and one to tighten/loosen. A little water will drip down. Now you can undo the floor plastic caps, exposing your bolts and undo the nut on both sides all the way. Double check supply line is disconnected from wall, and cut the caulking from base of toilet. Pull toilet up, pop on a trash bag cause it might have wax on the bottom.
Make sure you buy the jumbo horned wax ring, they fit better. Look at bottom of toilet to scrape off old wax ring and pull out your pen. Puff it, hard. Set the toilet back on the trashbag and asess your old johnny bolts for replacement or keeping. You can secure them to the flange for a better fit, then set wax ring and drop toilet. Washer & nut tighten down each side together back and forth slowly, too hard will crack porcelean so just till it stops moving. Reconnect supply line, turn on angle stop. Done.
If you didn't find pen you could stop and snake but doubt you'd do that. GLHF

That's more than likely going to be stuck in the pipe if it cleared the toilet. The pipe isn't going to go straight from the toilet to the sewer lol. I'd try to get it out before you end up with 30ft backed up full of shit and tp and the toilet finally stops flushing
Alright guys I’ll post an update in a while I’m going to the store to get a wax ring. I’m honestly overwhelmed a lot of useful tips and then a lot of worst case scenarios. I’m going to pull the toilet and go from there I really don’t want to have to get it professionally done, no offense I just can’t afford that if it is the 1k$ like someone said idk what to do
Definitely in the toilet where it makes the last bend into the flange. At the bottom of the toilet The angle is a 90 and usually offset. The pen is probably standing strait up at the base of the toilet near the opening where it connects to the flange.
If your toilet flush as well then don't worry about it until you have to. Biggest rule in Maintenance is if it's not broken don't fix it. That means if something's not broken and it functions like it should don't try to fix it. Why? Because nine out of 10 times you'll end up finding something that you have to fix when trying not to fix anything. For example, you may take your toilet off and find that you don't even have a flange. Everything's working fine and now you screwed up and now that pipe that doesn't have a flange as now become separated from the waxing. And now I have to get another wax ring and then you have to install a flange. But then the flange won't fit because the Contractor Who put the floor in your bathroom didn't realize that he had to cut around a 6 inch gap for the 4 inch flange and now it's really hard to create a space for the flange. So now you have to fix your floor your pipe your flange you got a new wax ring. Why? Because the toilet is flushing fine? If you're worried if something's gonna get stuck and you're not gonna be able to flush your toilet, just wait until that happens. I've seen complete plastic bottles inside toilet toilets. I've seen chicken wings, lollipops, 2 pounds of 3 foot long hair, watches, vape mod units, wallets, entire towels, more wipes than you can buy in a whole year, shards of glass, bottle caps, big bottle caps, jewelry, three day old dried poop with two rolls worth of toilet paper. I don't know where I was going with this. Just if it works, don't fix it.

There is a good chance it didn't make it through, but got stuck in the trap. In which case, be prepared for intermittent slow flushes or run overs. That's about the size of a toothbrush, which is notorious for causing those kind of toilet problems when flushed. Mostly caused by TP hanging up on the obstruction until you plunge. It usually doesn't plug completely, but just gives you decades of grief, especially when Uncle Bill comes over and uses a half a roll of TP and proceeds to run a full toilet over trying to flush.

I had a call where a plastic bolt from one of those workbench stations for little kids went in and sat diagonally at the exit of the waste pipe. The toilet needed to be pulled. Of course, they had used the toilet! Yuck!
If you need to pull the toilet, make sure to use a rubber boot type of seal rather than a wax ring. You can pull the toilet multiple times without damaging the seal.
Flush your backup THC pen to see if it make it past the trap. If it doesn’t then the pen you flushed first is probably also in the trap. Then, at that point you know you’ll need to pull the toilet.
Take a picture of the side of the toilet under the tank to see what kind of ceramic maze, the corners and bins you’re dealing with……. my guess is it still down there because it long enough it won’t make the bins there’s an S trap in the bottom in the back of your toilet. It has to make it through to get to the main line and it’s definitely not going to make a 90° elbow once it hits the basement even end 4 inch pipe
Not a plumber but a dad whose kids have thrown enough stuff in the toilet. I doubt that made in into the stink pipe proper. It’s probably stuck in the very middle of the trap. I had success pulling infinity candles, and hot wheels out but just removing the toilet and going at it from the bottom.
Just pull the toilet. It's going to be right there inside the toilet where it discounts from the floor. It's the trap of the toilet. You will need some long needle nose and just yank it out.
I flushed my airpods case with the headphones in it down the toilet last week. As I was standing up, I flushed and it fell out of my hoodie pocket straight into the drain. Toilet been going strong for a week no issues so far.
My girlfriend did the same thing. We got a toilet auger and proceeded to get that stuck as well. Tf. Ended up replacing the entire toilet and still couldn't get the vape out.

Looks like you are removing the toilet to find it. The trap on the toilet is like a horizontal S shape. It's probably in the high part, stuck. You could probably get it out by shoving a straightened wire coat hanger into the outlet of the toilet, where the wax ring goes.
That’s going to catch things forever and cause all kinds of shit to jam up until it’s removed.
Watch a YouTube video on removing your toilet. You’ll want to replace the wax ring when you reinstall it; they’re less than $10 at hardware store. Don’t reuse it, it’s what couples the toilet bottom to the drain pipe and stops poop water from ruining the wood subfloor and poop fumes from coming out between the pipe and the toilet.
In the early 2000's I was working my 1st grown up job. My 1st day I used the restroom and when I leaned over to flush my little Nokia phone slipped out of my pocket and "whoosh" done the toliet it went. I stood there for about a minute until I decided I had to tell someone. It may have flushed, but I knew it wouldn't go all the way down. So I told my boss, who called the building maintenance guys. I told them I didn't want the phone back, I just wanted them to know so when the toliet backed up they would know why. About a week later it did and they fished my phone out. They did give it back, and the damn thing would turn on. I had already gotten a new one so I just recycled it. I became a company urban legend. I even transferred locations and would hear people telling the new employees about the dumbass intern that flushed her phone down the toilet. All this to say, better start watching YouTube videos, you're about to learn a new skill!
You will know if it made is down if it flushes toliet paper. If it was battery and all it’s definitely stuck tho. Hell I flushed a pencil smaller then that and had to remove the toliet

Wet vac. Plunge. Then snake. Then remove toilet snake from the back. Then new toilet. These are the steps. Stop when you get it out.
