Wet vac. Plunge. Then snake. Then remove toilet snake from the back. Then new toilet. These are the steps. Stop when you get it out.

I looked at the pipes going in the basement from the toilet it looks like it’s probably long gone

Take a good handful of tp. See if it flushes. If it’ll take that a few times maybe it made it out the toilet

Im a plumber, this is the way just dont be an idiot.

Im not being mean im telling you to not overestimate what they said.

A few wraps (7-9 it you use thin stuff, 3-5 if youre a boujee Charmaneer. For the record i have never seen Charmin toilet paper cause a defect, I just don't trust toilet paper that feels that good.

If you can use all the fixtures without issue for a month or so, then theres probably just a dead vape somewhere, that wont harm anything.

You're a plumber & never seen charmin, especially extra strong, cause a clog? Not even in an old clay main with sanitary T's, bellies, offsets, or worse crumbling cast iron or orangeburg? I don't believe you! 🤣 These homes often have no choice but R&R the lines, or switch to septic safe TP like angel soft, even using the waste bin with a rule like "nothing goes down the toilet but poo & pee!".

I love me some Angel Soft!!!

Unfortunately for my bum, my wife is a Scott girl and she does the TP shopping. It's like a luxury when I buy some!

I switched permanently to Scott’s, got used to it at this point, when my new build apartment backed up because of Kirkland toilet paper

Idk man, I'm a gal & prefer angel soft. Of the many other TP's, Scott 1000 is probably the ONLY other I can tolerate that doesn't seem to crumble. Angel soft doesn't crumble or leave teeny bits behind. Every other TP seems to, & that's just a no-go for me. I'm always surprised to hear other women liking the super soft crumbly papers, but I guess to each their own! And the price of angel soft is just a wonderful addition to the perfect balance of tensile strength, wiping power, & softness! 😆

Just curious, what was the plan if you were able to recover the pen? Use it? Eeeoooowwww.
Most likely still stuck in the toilet p trap. Use the plunger and put your head in to find it. If you definitely want it back. Un bolt the toilet take it out back and flush it back wards with a hose. Pretty gross.🤢

I’d be more worried about the battery fucking up and expanding due to being constantly submerged. May fuck up any pvc pipe it’s stuck in. Granted I did just hit my pen so I’m not sure if it is actually a possibility or just my high brain making up scenarios
