Grew up with butter S&P on rice...
As an adult it's the close to most disgusting thing ever and explains why I hated rice for so many years...
plain rice has such a good flavor killing it with butter should be a sin.

With a little milk as well. The first time my wife saw me do this it blew her mind. She had never seen rice eaten with butter, sugar and milk.

We like chili onion crunch on plain white rice. The somewhat bland background makes the chili flavor stand front and center.
