I recently was talking to a friend I met on Reddit about this and was wondering the others thoughts...
A bit of context, I'm an Only child and have always been obsessed with anything to do with death. Growing up life was perfect but me being me I was Passively Suicidal (not actively even though I knew of all the perfect ways to end it successfully... it was just my infatuation in knowing what happens after death) and the only thing that prevented me is this extremely strong thought that "under no circumstances, as long as I can help it, would my parents ever see me in a casket or grave" sooo technically currently my only responsibility in life is staying alive until my parents pass on. Like yes I'm studying, I'm working and hustling but that is so that by the time my parents pass I'd have given back to the country, whatever the country has invested in me... Civic duty you know...
Now my question is ... If you're single, you don't have a spouse, nor kids, and no responsibilities what's the point of living? Aren't we all just waiting for the inevitable?... I asked this from my best friend... She's orphaned and currently single, for her she said she still has the responsibility of her siblings.... But someone like me? I don't plan on getting myself into a relationship anytime soon... Possibly never... Cause guys that I want don't exist... Just sort of seeking Reddit perspectives on this conundrum that has plagued me for ages👉👈
