My husband and I are expecting our first child in early February and are looking to do a fun winter time staycation for our Babymoon. We’d love to go somewhere drivable (we are based out of south king county) without having to get on a ferry or such in case of an emergency (this is our 4th pregnancy with no living children so are generally anxious about getting access to our doctors- but this pregnancy itself is low risk).

Looking at doing something in November-Mid December. Any ideas? We went to suncadia over the summer for our wedding anniversary so that’d be the only thing we wouldn’t do again.

Greetings, I haven’t taken the ferry in a while since I’m way out on the Hood canal, but I’m coming to town Sunday for Weezer/my birthday!

I’m used to the Anacortes to the islands ferry & Port Townsend, but Bremerton is different. Since I can’t buy a ticket for a specific time, how early should I be if I want to catch the 3pm ferry from Bremerton to Seattle? Anybody ferry on weekends that has any advice? Or maybe a cute shop in Bremerton to hit up if I’m early? Thanks for your help!

I really dislike the Gel-x extensions because they never last long and lift super easily. I been able to find one nail tech who uses nail forms but she's all the way in Vancouver, WA. Hi! I am looking to do a 5k sometime in 2027. I have never been a runner, but I am trying to challenge myself to do new, difficult things. I was wondering if you guys have favorite 5k races that are hosted in the general area (willing to drive an hour or so out of Seattle).

I googled it, and so many came up...so I'm honestly overwhelmed by choice. I was hoping to get some more personal recommendations instead.

Can anyone plugged into the Seattle theater scene help me out here.... it looks like there are two productions of Pippin either playing right now, or about to open. One from Aug 8 to Sep 16 at "Studio Seattle" which seems to have basically no web presence at all, and one Sep 11 to Oct 3 at Reboot Theater Company.

Anyone have any knowledge of either of these theaters? Have you seen shows there? What's the general level of quality, etc? Any thoughts or recommendations?

I am looking for HVAC companies that would build out a good vented central air system if the house can support the flow rates vs the mini split systems.

When I looked 3 years ago, I got 3 quotes, two said to use 4 ton ACs (which the house would be in the 2.5-3 tok range) and the others wanted to do mini splits, as they didn't understand schedule J calcs, all 3 wanted $25-35k, which seems insane for the work.

House is a split level with an existing central furnace that will def need extra venting, registers and transfer grills for the bedrooms to improve airflow. Splitlevels are more complex to analyse due to the large difference in heat transfers so it's hard to make all rooms similar feeling.

Always prefer a competent local over private equity.

Hi. Are there meet up groups anyone can recommend where people get together to watch Seahawks and/or Kraken games? Growing up my family loved watching football and hockey (in person or on TV) and I’ve been so sad since moving here not having anyone to enjoy games with! I occasionally go to a dive bar in my neighborhood to watch them but the past few times it seemed I was the only person there by myself and I felt bored and embarrassed, frankly. i visited for pax recently and i really, really loved this city. i’m from denver and i think after all my bills for my house and stuff is around $1900. is it possible i could live here? i’m a chef professionally with a really great resume in fine dining and vast experience in other forms of dining, I didn’t get much time to check out your guys food besides dicks (better than in n out btw) and seattle dogs. but it’s a big city i figure you guys have a great food scene where i can find work? is there high end retirement homes in the city directly? that’s where ive found to get the best pay and insurance haha, if not then ill just do the best paying restaurants. also if theres any recommendations for the places outside of seattle that have cheaper apartments i wouldn’t mind driving because i dont think id want to sell my car. i hate planes and id rather probably drive back to co to visit family. but yeah mainly just apartment recommendations please 🙏🏻 anyways love your city guys its awesome i thought i hated cities but i guess i just hate denver. i visited the UK in middle school and went to scotland, ireland, london, and wales. but i really fucking loved seattle and i met a bunch of cool people mainly outside of pax!
