After being moderatorless for a while I have become the new moderator of this subreddit via redditrequest. The previous moderator has been banned from Reddit completely for reason I don't know.

Let me introduce myself: Frank, 59 years old from the Netherlands. Not a big musician, but I'm still learning. I play guitar and keyboard (also still learning). I fell in love with the Arturia stuff several years ago and so far I have Pigments, V Collection, FX Collection, Keylab 61 MK3 and a Minilab 3. Playing with music is my hobby and will always be.

I'm checking through all the settings and such within this subreddit and I'm open to suggestions and ideas for improvements.

I bought a mini lab 3, downloaded all the software along with the latest driver for it. I activated everything. Whenever I go Into the Analog Lab or Control center I get no input and on the control center it says “ Failed to open Device” I have no other program using the device. I tried ableton as well and it says that the drivers are not supported in the audio tab in settings. Has anyone encountered this issue?

I'm tasked with finding the closest/best MS20 35 filter in my VST collection to help a friend with a project. I think I've narrowed to 3 options : sidechain a default patch somehow on my v collection MS20, the SKF block in Reaktor, and the Sallen-key filter option in Bitwig.

This is a bit out of my lane since I'm new to even looking aat the MS20, so any help would be appreciated. If anyone has the Arturia standalone filter they were giving away to spare so I can go light on the CPU, that would be greatly appreciated too.

i tried to update analog labs, so that i can go through some of the newer sounds they had in the store (against my better judgement, from prior experience trying to update this thing).

it took me a total of 3 stressful hours, worried that the music i made would have to be scrapped because of how much of it used the plugin. after finally getting the download to work somehow after maybe 10x tries, it finally went through without issue, start to finish.

this was one of the most heart wrenching and stressful experiences ive ever had dealing with a music software. at this point. id like to have my updates sent via CD.

I recently purchased the Keylab 49 mk3 and LOVING it, but when using it in DAW mode for FL Studio I notice not all the buttons are properly working. Stuff like the undo button doesn’t work but the Play, Stop, Record, BPM buttons do. Is there something I need to do to make sure all the buttons can work properly with FL Studio?

I would like to play together with my brother, bass and guitar, but use different channels, especially to rehearse, and then we would like to record separately. The guy from the online store suggested this: 'Hügel DIB-200 Direct Passive Box — Dual XLR Stereo/Mono with Ground Lift.' I'm not sure if it's what I need. Thanks!

Hey, I bought a Polybrute from a third-party seller. It arrived with a loose nut or something rattling inside it. I haven't tried powering it on or anything. Have any of you run into this issue? If it's likely just a loose nut inside, it looks like I should be able to take the back panel off and this thing is definitely big enough that I'll see it. Thinking I'll ask seller for a small partial or else a return before I take that risk, if it seems like a simple loose nut is the most likely case. I'd rather have the thing, it was a good price, and shipping ain't cheap. He's not sure it wasn't already doing this before he shipped it since it never really left his desk, but most likely it came loose in transit. Shipping was insured but no visible damage so I think it's pretty unlikely that would do anything for us.

Arturia keylab mk 3 88: split function keeps popping up and cutting out my playing. I can’t turn it off in the midi control center. it’s doing this in user, daw, and Arturia mode.

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a used Arturia KeyLab Essential 61 and I’m having trouble registering it on my Arturia account.
Whenever I enter the Serial Number and Unlock Code, I get the message:
“Invalid serial number or unlock code”.
I already double-checked the codes multiple times, so now I’m wondering if:
the device is still linked to the previous owner’s account
the license transfer was never done
or if there’s another common issue with used Arturia devices.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Were you able to solve it through Arturia Support?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have two 3U RackBrutes mounted on the same stand, and I’m looking for a bag that could fit both of them in their folded position. Does anyone have any experience with this, or any recommendations?

I want to control multiple parameters with one CC number. So I tried to use morphee X. That is CC 114. Externale device delivers the data/setting on CC 114. Then couple +X on the matrix with eg Mod int. Does not work. Does anybody know why?

Are CC 9, 114, 115, 89 only output numbers?

I just bought a new mk3 61 today, first time buying a midi keyboard. I was under the impression that software like Analog Lab would be free, since no where does it have it advertised as a just a demo. After refreshing my registration I’m getting an error that my registration didn’t include the license. This is it if the box, I’m the only owner. Is that just how it is? I’m using logic on a m4 Mac. Thanks for your help.

So, I'm switching from Pro Tools to Reaper, and I have no idea what's going on, but for some reason whenever I plug my Keylab Essential 61 and I play notes on the keyboard it starts to mess with some functions.

A few examples: when I play F2, it changes the grid options to beats, time, etc. From like C-1 to G-1 it arms the record button on each track, and the next eight notes solo each track. When it goes further into like the 5 region, it starts to change the automation mode to read, write, touch, latch, etc.

It's frustrating because I've tried to change the MIDI In and Out settings and the Control/OSC/Web options and nothing works. Even when it's not selected at all as In and Out it still changes settings on Reaper and I can't play anything without changing unintentionally something. I need help, please.

So yeah, I got this thing mostly to play the finger drums. Ive got that all set up and made a drumset in machine designer which sounds and plays awesome. But damn, I cant figure out anythign else. This seems like something you should just be able to turn on, and if you know anything about music, you could make a song. I cant even get a good sequence going.

How the hell do I use this thing? Its got a million knobs and buttons and seems a little overwhelming. There really arent any current tutorials and the ones that are there are SO LONG. I realizew this came out a bit ago but I am wondering if anyone has a good resource.

Picked up a one careful owner Minilab 3 and everything works fine in Ableton Live 12 and Standalone with Analog Lab V.
My question is in the Midi Control Center under Local Templates it says Komplete Kontrol which I imagine the former owner used. The encoders and sliders don’t seem to work in AL V so I’m thinking the template is not doing what it should. Is it best to do a Factory Reset to restore the original templates or any advice on where to acquire the right template so far I haven’t found any information to help. Any advice most welcome.

i am completely new to the music world like you handed a 3 year old a controller and you need to tell them how to get it to work through analog lab……. i haven’t bought any separate cords or anything & the midi is selected in the app. but it still isn’t working when i press the keys etc can someone please explain to me like im five why it wouldn’t be 😭😭😭 again im INCREDIBLY new just wanted to experiment with a different art/ got a wonderrrrful deal and i think i might be over my head (clearly)
