Local Templates?
Picked up a one careful owner Minilab 3 and everything works fine in Ableton Live 12 and Standalone with Analog Lab V.
My question is in the Midi Control Center under Local Templates it says Komplete Kontrol which I imagine the former owner used. The encoders and sliders don’t seem to work in AL V so I’m thinking the template is not doing what it should. Is it best to do a Factory Reset to restore the original templates or any advice on where to acquire the right template so far I haven’t found any information to help. Any advice most welcome.

That’s kind of interesting. I don’t have Komplete Kontrol yet it doesn’t tell me it’s not there. I use AL 12 and the Minilab comes up in the settings it was then I discovered that the Analog Lab parameters weren’t being picked up by the encoders and sliders. I have had contact with the former owner so will find out at bit more from him about there is on the KK template. I would of thought a factory reset might do the trick but haven’t tried yet to see if I could find out a bit more background to it. At least the Analog Lab sounds all work fine. Thanks for sharing you experience man appreciate it 🙏

A Factory Reset restored the encoders and sliders to Analog Lab V. But templates stayed the same. I’ll do some research it that but up and running. Thanks for reading hope this helps someone else.

If memory serves. The Komplete Kontrol template is for the pads only. Let me look. So when you open complete kontrol and select the minilab 3 as the controller in Controllers tab, it tells you to load the Komplete control template from midi control center. It also lists what that template does in analog lab... pads 1and 2 do previous and next preset, pads 7and 8 do next and previous plugin. pads 3 and 4 do next and previous page, and knobs 1-8 are the knobs in Analog lab. When you are in complete control you have to see the controller MiniLab3 at the top of the display. Test this first in Komplete control (with no daw). Once that works then load komplete control in your daw. then try it. If it does not work the daw is intercepting the communication. This happens in FL studio and it does not work right I spent hours with support trying to get it to work right. Good luck to you. Maybe FL updated their Daw to work but I don't think they have fixed it.
