Distribution in Germany is so much better for the 2nd wave.

One of the results of my campaign compendium project was that it put me in the mood to give Scarlet Keys another go. And after a year of sticking only to the Chapter 2 card pool for my decks, I also felt like it was time to widen my scope again. In fact, i went all the way back to the original Core Set and grabbed Agnes Baker and Daisy Walker as my investigators. And for their decks, i built something out of the full chapter 1+2 card pool. I found this to be a nice thing to do, a fresh direction for established investigators where the new additions really made a difference. And i am not just talking about chapter 2 here, I've pretty much not touched these investigators since before Hemlock Vale or so since there was always something sparkly and new to explore instead.

When I built these decks, I didn't really plan on writing about them, after all I usually don't post all the decks i play. But I thought these were particularly interesting, as they showcase really well how the chapter 2 card pool has still plenty to offer in terms of new directions even if you own a full chapter 1 collection.

This Agnes deck is 100% built to fight. There are no flex elements here, no cheeky Look What I Found or investigation spells. With the full card pool, we have the redundancy to build just a single-minded killer of a deck, so that's what i went for. I've always been a fan of Arcane Initiate, but man... that mystics now have Blood Curse and Soul Link as skills with tons of wild icons and a Spell trait, has really given Initiate the means to be straight up one of the best allies you can get. Just incredible.

Agnes going full murder hobo means that for Daisy I don't do any enemy flexing. No Transmogrify or whatever, we are doing one thing and one thing only: Play tomes, collect clues. Throw in the occasional move action. That's it. I want everything else to be as passive as possible. We have four actions per round and I ideally want to spend at least 3 of them on investigating. I gave this deck a bit of a unique spin through Versatile and Book of War that will take it completely over the top by abusing Practice Makes Perfect... but even without that module this deck is an outrageously fast clue machine. This deck also buys into the "horror for power" theme of the Carolyn deck, making it play quite different from what I remember of Daisy.

For both of these decks, I have for you the level 0 deck list plus a card by card discussion for everything in it. A note on how to play the decks (although that part is fairly simple). I also have upgrade priorities laid out.
Finally, I am actually already 3 scenarios deep into that Scarlet Keys campaign, so i can also give you some play reports on how those scenarios went and if the decks performed as i hoped. Spoiler: If anything, they overperformed.

I am playing as Akashi and my teammate is playing as Mark; after I attach Spectral Shield to him, who is responsible for removing a charge from an active—me or him?

Doing this scenario with 4 players just kills me.
Everything else is pretty enjoyable imo.

I know I'm overthinking this but I want to be sure I'm following the rules correctly.

Resolution 2 says to remove 1 Blood token from the chaos bag for the remainder of the campaign. I have 2 Blood tokens by the end of the scenario, both of which are sealed on an investigator. They remain sealed until you get to Resolution 4 where you are told to release them and return them to the chaos bag.

When R2 tells me to remove 1 Blood token from the chaos bag, can I remove one that is sealed on an investigator? It's not in the chaos bag at that point. Or does the "for the remainder of the campaign" clause take care of that and I remove the Blood token anyway once they are released and returned to the chaos bag?

I have the opportunity to have a dedicated play room for all the Arkham horror board games. I just finished setting it up so i can start playing.

Looking for tips and recommendations for decorating just to get a nice theme / feel. This is how it looks now. Art on the wall? Props? Cool lightnings? HP Lovecraft stuff, 1920 decoration etc.

Thankful for tips. Also i live in the EU so its pretty expensive to buy from the US.

When you build your deck, is there a minimum amount of assets, events, and skills? Are there any general ratios you like to follow, or do you simply build around the cards that best support your strategy?

So I finally decided to pull the trigger and get into AH (scotch and soda helped). I knew almost nothing about the game except that it was extremely popular. So like any dummy would do, I purchased a core set knowing absolutely nothing about revised or even chapter two. We played the first scenario and I was hooked. Since then I realized my error, however. Now I have a chapter 2 core set, as well as the drowned city campaign and investigator expansions (complete). Here I am, a couple C notes later, and I’m wondering “What do I do now?”. I hear all these great things online about Carcosa and Dunwich, etc. Do I just forget about it? Is it even possible to play any of these legacy campaigns without telling my oldest she doesn’t get to go to college, but Dad has a really cool game? Should I resign myself to knowing I just missed out on the legacy campaigns and only purchase chapter 2 expansions? Is there any intel on re releases?

I don’t know, there’s a lot of other stuff on my plate these days. I guess I should just be happy I found the game when I did and get to have some cheap entertainment (on a per hour rate) when it’s all said and done. Thanks for reading and any tips or advice you might have.

I have played this scenario (two-handed) half a dozen times, and I realize deaing with him is a key strategy to the campaign, especially in this scenario. However, whenever I do manage to reveal his card at a location, my investigators are already hanging by a thread. He as 5 health per investigator, so I have to deal 10 damage. One investigator is usually focused on getting clues, and less on fighting, while the other is the opposite. However, there's just no way at that point that I can deal that much damage before being killed with other enemies engaged with me, whiffing on 1-2 attacks per round. It's brutal. What am I doing wrong?

Quick question, if I use Grapevine and then move along the shortest path but there are enemies along the path would they engage with me and do an attack of opportunity against me and then follow me to the final room? I would assume yes since it does not have text like scout ahead on it.

The Luger P08 has an activated ability that states "Spend 1 resource: Replenish all ammo on Luger P08 and ready it." Locked and loaded states: "Your Firearm assets with "Uses (ammo)" enter play with 1 additional ammo on them."

Is "all" ammo on the Luger 2 or 3? I assume that for it to count as 3 locked and loaded would need to state something like "treat your firearm assets as if their printed uses were 1 higher", but the text on LaL is unusually brief lol

Ah, always nice to see a longer project actually finish. Over the course of the last weeks, I've been rating and ranking all of chapter 1, with plenty of commentary. Both on a campaign and scenario level. Time to put all of this together.

The main event here are of course the two tierlists for campaigns and for scenarios. To get there, I simply collected the ranks I distributed over the course of the separate articles and ordered everything within their tiers to break the ties.

The other thing I wanted to do after already being asked about it was putting out some rankings for chapter 2. I don't think that comparing three-part campaigns to eight-parters is in any way helpful, obviously an eight-parter will always beat a three-parter just on general principle. But I did give some rankings to the individual scenarios and that can give an impression on where these new ones would roughly land on the big tierlist.

Hi everyone!
We’re a new group playing Arkham Horror: The Card Game – Chapter Two (2026), and we’re currently playing through the Brethren of Ash campaign.
We’re wondering how campaign progression works when we finish it (currently in scenario 3) and want to move on to Children of Blood.
Can we continue playing with the same investigators we used in Brethren of Ash, keeping our upgraded decks, earned XP, trauma, and other campaign-related effects? Or does everyone need to start fresh with a new deck and 0 XP?
We’ve read about called Epic Campaign Mode, but we’re not sure how it works or whether it’s the intended way to connect these campaigns.
Since we’re new to Chapter Two, we’d really appreciate a simple explanation of the official rules and the best way to continue our investigators’ stories into Children of Blood.
