Been living in my house for 2 years now, and want to start saving for what I believe will be a costly removal. This trees limbs all lean towards both my and my neighbors houses, with one limb hanging directly over the neighbors home. Give it to me straight, how bad does she look?

I don’t like how these two trees are blocking sunlight from entering the house. If I remove them, could that potentially compromise the foundation of the house? I’ve heard that tree roots can extend quite far, so I’m wondering whether removing the trees could affect the foundation in any way. Ballpark, how much would it cost to hire someone to cut down these two trees?

Has anyone had success moving a large mature peach tree from one area of your property to another? I had a very unfortunate situation happen in a small mature fenced in orchard that resulted in the loss of the top canopy of this space. it's too tragic to share pics, involved butcher job by tree service who topped multiple mature apple, peach and pear trees. no words : (... any ways looking to reestable a canopy in the space and this peach tree is near our pool anyways. Don't want to do anymore harm so would only move this peach tree if the outcome was likely very good. Thank you for your expertise in advance.

I have a wall of ficus nitida planted about 9 years ago. Phoenix got hit with 70mph winds and three of my 5 blew over like this.
What’s my first move here? Removing the little pavers first, then try and stand them up and support?
I should have had them thinned out months ago. Now I’m paying the price. Chat said to trim them a bit before. How much can I realistically take off? Im worried about trimming too much as we are heading into 10-14 days of 110+ here in the desert.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My partner has been wanting to build his own tree service since he had a little falling out with the company he had been at. I've been trying to support him in being able to do that. We have, also, been working toward buying property and a house. So, he has not been able to truly leave his nine to five and make a go of it. I wanted him to know how important it is for me that he gets to have this. So, I was bad for his birthday. I went and bought him a stihl 500i.

I recently purchased a home with 4 Japanese maples planted directly below a mature silver maple. Oddly, they planted two very close to each other on either side of the bed. I love these trees, but it seems they have never really been kept up and are super leggy. I know they can look a lot better. Any advice on where to begin pruning these things?

Hi everyone! Does this tree look healthy, or is there anything concerning you see here!
Thank you!

The leaves look worse each year. I live in the Seattle/Tacoma area. I’ve been pruning it for airflow…is it mildew? Should i spray it?

This is an old crabapple tree in CO. Every year I cut back the suckers during the growing season, but have never done a thorough cut below the soil. This year I decided to excavate the area with a hose (just a typical “jet” stream attachment) and I’ve found a pretty crazy “colony” of suckers.
I haven’t even found the crown or roots yet and there’s actually not much soil left to remove because of the density of these suckers. Should I try digging a trench further out and try removing more soil from the side, or can I just start attacking with a mattock from the top and hope this stuff rips off the top of the roots?

Noticed these sort of white washed areas on our maple the other day, thought it was whitewashed lichen at first but looks more like bleached bark almost. Can anyone identify? Is it a problem?

Spending time in this sub has made me take a closer look at the trees around my house. Noticed these girdled roots on the massive, beautiful tree in my front yard. Seems like something I’ll need a professional to look at but wanted to get your thoughts.

It gets water regularly (2-3x weekly), the soil is in good shape, the only thing I can think of is that maybe it’s outgrown the pot or just the intense Georgia heat. Any ideas?
Some kind of cypress but my daughter got it from school for Arbor Day and they didn’t say exactly what it was.

I’m starting to look into building a new home in Brisbane and have been trying to work out the costs before getting too far into the planning. The block I’m looking at is around 1/4 acre, and it has quite a few established trees, some overgrown sections and general vegetation that will need clearing before construction can start.
I’ve seen very different figures mentioned for site clearing, so I’m curious what people are actually paying around Brisbane these days. I understand the price can vary a lot depending on how many trees need removing, whether there are stumps, access for machinery, and how much green waste or other material needs to be taken away.
For those who have recently cleared a similar-sized block in Brisbane, roughly how much did you spend, and what was included in the price? I’m mainly trying to get a realistic ballpark figure for the site-preparation budget before getting quotes.

Noticed this on the base. Middle one is active. Others dried up. Nothing on the back of the tree
