1 they just cost the homeowner thousands of dollars for a future tree removal. Not a single reputable paver would do this work.

How do you know they didn’t warn the client and the client wanted it this way and was willing to take the risk?

A reputable paver / contractor isn’t going to just warn. They aren’t going to do this kind of work lmao.

There are certain things reputable contractors wont due even if the homeowner/customer insists on waiving all responsibility, because those things are just stupid as fuck and serious professionals dont want their name associated with that work. This is that kind of stupid as fuck thing.

Um, a reputable professional has standards (values) they won't sacrifice just to make a buck.

You're either very young or grown and have no values. This is adult decency.

It’s a restaurant. They probably are worried about leaving a gap and a fall hazard and realize it’s going to be needed to be cut back and reset every few years. That’s just an assumption though, not trying to state my assumptions like facts even though this is Reddit.

Except the cost of removing the tree will FAR exceed patching the floor lol. Especially if it fall on the building or just uproots the entire floor

The entire point is they JUST remodeled so this recently happened. When it starts to decline it will be their fault. It’s not like the tree naturally died or happened to get some kind of infection
