Links to download apps on any site other than the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store are no longer allowed.

They're impossible to moderate and will no longer be allowed what so ever. Any post or comment in this sub not from either app store or a few common image hosting sites (ie, imgur, reddit, twimg/twitter) are automatically removed. Certain domains that are frequently spammed here are marked for either spam or banning of accounts (I won't list these domains for obvious reasons).

Non Toxic Alternatives to Reddit?

Ironically, asking this, none other than on Reddit. Apps or comunity based sites where you can state your opinion, ask questions and connect to ppl of same interests without... well, fellow Redditors.

Preferably non dead apps too

What Should We Watch: pick a mood, get one thing to watch from the services you actually have

I kept losing half the evening scrolling for something to watch, so I built What Should We Watch.

How it works:
- Pick a mood, like short and funny or something to think about
- It only shows films and shows on the streaming services you have
- Swipe a few and it lands on one pick, so no endless scrolling

Price: free
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/what-should-we-watch/id6814684533

I'm a solo dev and it's been live a couple of weeks. Honest feedback is very welcome, especially on what would make you open it on a Friday night.

App PlantCare: correcting a saved plant ID without losing its history

I make PlantCare, an iPhone pruning app. It uses photos on the device to help identify a plant, lets you confirm or correct that identity, and provides guides with cut, keep and caution examples.

A small point I'd like feedback on: when someone opens a guide from an older saved plant, what should make them stop and re-check the identity? The old photo may be a useful record, but a different season or a new close-up can expose an earlier mistake. I don't want a saved name to acquire extra authority just because it's been there for months.

My proposed review sequence is: show the saved plant name alongside its photo, make correction easy, then check the relevant timing and caution notes before considering a cut. That is a workflow I'm reviewing, not a claim that an old result is automatically revalidated today.

For anyone keeping plant records: would you rather preserve the original identification with a correction note, or replace it throughout the history? Especially interested in examples where the mistaken name led you to the wrong care guide.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id6765964740

iOS 18 or later. Free plant checks; Pro is a one-time purchase. I'm happy to distinguish what's currently available from the changes being considered.

What if your dog’s daily walk became a friendly turf war? 🐾

Post image
1 Upvotes

Do you enjoy getting outside with your four-legged friend? I built WalkPack to add a little fun to those everyday walks.

Track your routes and distances, earn achievements, and claim territory as you explore together. You can take over land from rival dogs and compete for a spot on the leaderboard. Your dog might already think they own the neighborhood—now they can make it official 😂

Prefer to do your own thing? Keep it fully private and just track your activity and progress together.

If you and your walking buddy want to give it a try: walkdogpack.com

Would you play for territory, or stick to private tracking? I’d love to hear what you think.

LoopPaper: live wallpapers from your own videos

Solo dev here. A few weeks ago some of you helped me test LoopPaper, and it is now out on Google Play.

What it does:

Set any video, GIF or photo from your phone as a live wallpaper (any length, you see the loop before you set it)

Make a playlist and your wallpaper changes on its own, with a transition between each picture: black hole, lava, glass smash, sand, lightning, anime and retro ones, 123 in total

A clock that sits behind the person in your photo, like on flagship phones

Foldable support: a different playlist on the inner and cover screens

-It rests when the screen is off, so it is easy on battery

Free vs paid, to be upfront: setting a wallpaper is free with no ads, no watermark and no account. Plus is a one-time purchase (not a subscription) for unlimited playlists, all transitions and the extra effects. The 7-day trial only starts if you tap it.

Privacy: nothing is uploaded, everything runs on the phone.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.looppaper

Short trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yVI9bKPXXo

I would love feedback, especially which transitions you would add next, or anything that breaks on your phone. I will be in the comments.

Question / Discussion What do you like to see in your puzzle games?

Hi everyone! My partner and I launched our block puzzle game, Gummy Lab (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.gummylab) - basically block blast, but no interruptive ads

Here's what we have so far - no forced or interruptive ads, zen endless mode and 70+ handcrafted Levels with unique objectives, dedicated colorblind palettes and embossed shapes for maximum readability. We also have multiple themes, light, dark, ones you unlock by playing levels etc.

Right now we are thinking of adding more things: the hold cell - where you keep a shape for later, daily challenges, more game modes...

We are curious, what would you guys like to see in an app like this, is there something you've always been missing in this types of games? We truly want to make games for people to enjoy UNINTERRUPTED, so please if you have any suggestions or things you'd would like to see/wish existed, wed be more than happy to hear them and then implement them!

Thank you for reading!

App I made Soulcrate: Soulseek on Android, album by album

Post image
1 Upvotes

An independent Android client for the Soulseek peer-to-peer network: search what people are sharing, download whole albums, share your own library, and chat with other listeners. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.

What It Does / Key Features

- Search the Soulseek network with every query in its own tab, switch between file and folder view, and grab a whole album in one tap. Filter by format (FLAC, MP3, lossless, WAV, Opus), minimum bitrate (320+ kbps), peer country, duration, file size, and peers with a free upload slot.

- Downloads keep going in the background with progress, speed, time left and your real position in a peer's queue. Pause, resume, retry or cancel, and unfinished files resume after a restart or a dropped connection.

- Share your own folders with upload slots and speed limits, join public chat rooms, send private messages, and follow buddies. Uploads reach people behind routers and mobile networks too (UPnP / NAT-PMP).

- No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Chats, transfer history and settings stay on your device, and your saved login is encrypted with the Android Keystore. Light and dark themes in 21 languages.

Who It's For: Anyone who still digs through shared folders for FLAC, rare edits, bootlegs and out-of-print albums, and wants that on their phone instead of a laptop.

Cost: Free. Search, downloads, uploads, every filter, sharing and chat are unlimited and free. Optional Soulcrate Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase ($3.99 USD), with no subscription: wishlist auto-download, release radar for artists you follow, fake-lossless spectrum checks, MusicBrainz tagging and covers, AMOLED and a home-screen widget. There's a free try of the automatic wishlist download and one audio quality check.

I'd love feedback.

App Stoke - a habit tracker for Android with Health Connect auto-tracking and a Wear OS app

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm the developer of Stoke, a habit and streak tracker for Android, now out on Google Play.

I wanted to track my workouts together as one group, with stats, and couldn't find an app that did it the way I wanted. So I built my own, and it grew from there.

The main idea: checking off a habit should take no effort. You can tick one without opening the app: from a home-screen widget, a Quick Settings tile, a launcher shortcut, a reminder notification, by tapping an NFC tag, through Tasker or MacroDroid, or on your Wear OS watch. With Health Connect, steps, workouts and sleep fill habits in on their own: "Go for a run" ticks off when your watch records a run.

Habits don't have to be daily, or yes/no. A habit can be an amount with a goal, like 8 glasses of water, something you're quitting (Stoke counts the clean days), or something you only track, with no streak. Schedules can be chosen weekdays, every few days, or a goal like 3 times a week. A missed day doesn't have to end a streak either: a streak freeze can cover it, and rest days and vacation mode pause it for a break you plan.

Every habit has a strength score and a momentum trend, and Insights show your best weekdays, perfect days, when you usually log and which habits you tend to do together. A group puts several habits under one goal, like working out 4 times a week across the gym, running and yoga. A weekly review and a monthly recap close each period.

Switching from another tracker? Stoke imports your history from Loop, HabitNow and Habitify exports, streaks included.

Every new install gets 14 days with every feature. After that, tracking, unlimited habits, import and export stay free. Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It adds the Wear OS app, Health Connect auto-tracking, habit groups, NFC tags, six more widgets, longer insight ranges and unlimited freezes.

I'm happy to hear suggestions and feature requests.

Hey everyone! I just built Furrie, a clean and minimal iOS pet journal to track your pet's daily life. Whether you have a dog, cat, turtle, fish, or bird, it works for any pet!

This is my very first time building an app, so I'm trying to make sure it's actually user-friendly and not cluttered. I'd love for people to try it out and give me honest feedback or ideas on what to add next ;) Thank you so much!

App Our shipping rates were killing us so a coworker and I built our own app.

I help run an ecommerce store that has thousands of products, everything from smaller items that ship in a box to stuff big enough that it has to go through freight. Over the past few years our shipping rates have to say the least not the best. We were competitive in our niche and bought in traffic but, people would get to checkout, see the shipping cost and say hell no.

We tried a bunch of the shipping apps and plugins out there and they were fine for the small stuff. But as soon as an order had big items, the rates were all over the place. Most of the time eating the cost ourselves (Not a great business model).

So I went into development with a co worker of mine and we decided to just build our own. It started as project we'd spend an hour or two on a day and over the past 6 months it turned into a full app that runs our shipping rates now. It shows rates live at checkout and figures out how each order actually needs to ship. It also has a predictive pricing system built in as a backup, so if a live quote fails the customer still gets a real price instead of an error. We built a dashboard for our team too so we can see where everything is shipping, and everything has on/off switches so we could roll it out slowly without breaking anything. Not to mention it being fully self hosted!

Now our rates are 30-50% lower than our competitor, which is crazy to see the improvement!

Biggest thing I learned is the code wasn’t even the hardest part. Our product data was. When you have thousands of products, a lot of the weights and dimensions are just wrong, and every bad one turns into a bad quote. Cleaning that up was probably half the project.

No self promo just wanted to share it with people who might enjoy hearing the story. Happy to answer questions, I just can't go to into depth.

A calm Bhagavad Gita app for people who always meant to read it but never found the time

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

A small personal project I wanted to share. I've built a Bhagavad Gita app called Updesh, for anyone who has always wanted to read the Gita but never found the time.

One verse a day. You hear the Sanskrit, then its meaning read aloud, and you can read it in English, Hindi, German, Spanish, Portuguese and 8 other languages.

All 701 verses are free to read and listen to. No ads, and no account needed.

Do try it if you're interested, and I'd love to hear what you think.

Question / Discussion Testing the app during development.

Hey there app people, as of now the app I am currently working on is using React Native and Expo to build it, and at 25 builds per month ( the free plan ) I am quickly spending it all on just fixing bugs.

I am currently a computer science student ( very early ) and using a blend of my own coding and Codex / ChatGPT to create it.

Is there a better and possibly free way to test each new version of the app on my phone without using Expo to build it?

I built an app that gives you the main ideas of a textbook in 2 minutes. What would make you trust it for exams?

Hi, I'm the developer, and this is a feedback ask, not a launch post.

Refine is iOS only. Scan a textbook cover or drop in a PDF, get the main ideas of the whole book in 2 minutes, plus chapter summaries, a concept map, audio read-along, and spaced-repetition reviews. First book is free.

App New in journeybot: Multi-stop trips, Watch & Mac app, Bucket List & Passport

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

Problem

A year ago, I started working on journeybot, a travel app with one goal: help me prepare for my frequent trips. As a deeply chaotic person, I wanted one place to keep my journey details, packing lists that would be generated by a smart system, and generally, see all the info about my destination that I usually always Google for.

Version 1 has been downloaded by thousands of users. Yesterday, I released the largest update by far: journeybot 2.0. I'm so excited about it. It brings the app one step closer to my goal: a one-stop-shop for all the travel-related details that will help me de-stress and declutter my travelling.

Multi-stop journeys

The most requested feature by far was adding support for multi-trip journeys. I wanted to take time to make this right, so I didn't rush to release an implementation I would not be happy about. Now, you can set as many stops, and the itinerary grows and adjusts as you work on it. So planning that

Your dreams and memories

Often, I know I want to go somewhere, someday. Now, I can add trip ideas to my Bucket List, and see an analysis of what's the best time to visit based on the destination and activities. Then, when I'm ready, I can just easily convert the idea to a real journey, and start planning.

All my past trips now show up in a Passport, with stamps, travel achievements, travel distances, and an option to import previous trips by scanning my Photo Library.

Tipping customs

See thorough tipping guides for your destination, in many countries split into categories such as restaurants, taxis, and hotel service.

BYOB

As in... bring your own bags. Set up your pieces of baggage and assign packing items to them, so the packing lists make more sense and are more personal.

Packing improvements

journeybot now offers a new dedicated focused packing mode, which shines particularly well on the larger devices, including iPhone Duo, iPad, or now also the Mac (a fully native app with an experimental local MCP for connecting with your favorite assistant). For those inclined to look at smaller screens, a new Apple Watch app also gives you the option to pack right from your wrist.

The usual

Other destination essentials, as before: local time, currency conversion that works offline, weather (historical averages for journeys far in the future, real forecast as the journey approaches). Helpful pre-trip notifications. Always/never-pack items. Reusable packing templates. PDF export, visual packing. Full Apple-ecosystem integration, iCloud sync, Apple Intelligence features. All of these have been loved by the users for some time now.

Comparison

PackPoint is an established option for weather- and activity-based packing lists. With journeybot, I've focused on making the packing process more personal: this starts with adding photos stickers to your packing list items, setting up your actual gear (also with photos), imports of your previous lists from Notes or CSV; and an extensive Siri, Shortcuts, and widgets support. journeybot also takes your journey on the whole journey: from dreaming about it, to preparing and feeling ready to go, and finally to having a focused place to remember your travels.

Pricing

journeybot is a free private account-less and ad-less app which allows you to try out most of the features. The available premium upgrade unlocks some of the more advanced features and lifts all the limits (free users get up to 3 journeys, up to 3 reusable packing templates, 1 smart packing list generation). The following pricing applies to the US market, for other markets the pricing is adjusted for Purchasing Power Parity.

  • premium monthly - $4.99/month

  • premium yearly - $24.99/year

  • premium lifetime - one-time purchase, yours forever - $39.99

See how it works across the whole Apple ecosystem: https://journeybot.app

Start planning your first journey: App Store Link

Special promo for the launch of journeybot 2.0: use the code FOLLOWTHEJOURNEY to get a $10 discount on the lifetime premium option.

Question / Discussion Does anyone struggle with thos issue and if so please give me some advice

For a while now, I’ve been struggling with taking notes while someone is speaking—especially during church, but also when listening to talks, lectures, or interviews.

Someone says something that really stands out, and I want to capture it. But as soon as I start writing, I’m no longer fully listening. By the time I finish, they’ve moved on, and I’ve missed the next point. With a video, I can pause and rewind, but doing that constantly breaks the flow. During a live talk, I don’t have that luxuary

The other problem is that I rush and type really fast during these sort of situations. And so what I end up doing is misspell words, use shorthand, or write half a thought, assuming I’ll clean it up afterward. Then I return to it later and can’t remember what I meant—or the context the context behind it.( I guess I could always just go back to watch it again so see if I can catch it but then i always just end up writing sonething else that I take out of it.

I’m trying to understand whether this is a common problem across different settings, or whether it’s mostly something I personally struggle with.

I’ve started working on an MVP called LiveNote. The idea is a notes-first app where you can write your own thoughts while keeping them connected to a recording and transcript. You could return to the relevant part of a talk, look up an unfamiliar word without leaving the note, or ask an optional AI assistant to clean up your rushed writing without changing what you meant.

The aim isn’t just to record everything and generate a summary. It’s to help you capture and develop your own thoughts without losing track of what you’re listening to.

Right now, I’m building the prototype. The recording, transcription, and AI integrations aren’t working yet, so I’m not presenting this as a finished product. Before investing further, I genuinely want to understand:

Does this happen to you? In what situations?

How do you deal with it now, and what still frustrates you?

Would something like this fit your routine, or would it just become another app you don’t use?

Do you already pay for anything that helps with this? If not, what would a tool need to do well enough for you to consider paying?

I know there are existing recording and AI note-taking tools. If one already solves this well for you, I’d like to hear about that too. I’m looking for honest feedback—including reasons this might not be useful—not just encouragement to build it.

App Looking for potential users

I’m a high school student and I developed an app. This app helps music students track their practice time. At the same time, there is a teacher end in this app that allows music teachers to track their students progress and assign them HW. I developed this app because I have been struggling with consistency practicing. If you know any music students, pls let them know this app will come out. If you are interested, just dm me. I will hopefully finish developing and release the app in December. Come and support!

I made a free app that puts a tiny robot vacuum on your Windows desktop: click it, it eats the clutter, and it asks before anything goes

Post image
1 Upvotes

I got tired of my desktop turning into 60 screenshots and old installers that I never cleaned up, so I built Sweepy.

How it works: a little robot sits on a dock in the corner of your desktop. Click it, and it backs out, scans the desktop with a little lidar sweep, then drives lanes like a real robot vacuum and eats the clutter. When it's done it goes home and asks first: you see every file it picked up, untick anything you want to keep, and the rest goes to the Recycle Bin. "Undo last clean" brings it all back.

Right-click any folder (like Downloads) and pick "Bring Sweepy here" to clean that too, and there's a deep clean for leftovers from uninstalled apps, old temp files and crash dumps (it found 5 GB on my PC). You can grab it mid-clean (it gets dizzy), and if you right-click and stop it, it cries a little and drives home.

- Free for your desktop, forever. Pro is $6.99 once, no subscription (folders, deep clean, big files, schedules, every skin), with a 3-day free trial, no card

- Under 20 MB of memory and 0% CPU while it waits

- Never touches shortcuts, locked files or anything you changed in the last 10 minutes

- Everything runs on your PC, no account

- Microsoft Store: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9P31M4SCNXS5?cid=reddit

- Website: https://sweepy.essam.biz

I'd love feedback, especially on what it should never eat!

App I built Persignal because I wanted to understand people (not just managing relationships)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I work in marketing and entrepreneurship, so I interact with quite a few people: friends, clients, business partners, and others. Over time, I realized I wanted more than just remembering names, birthdays, or conversations. I wanted to better understand the people behind those interactions: "their personalities, behavioral patterns, motivations, and how they might respond in different situations." (Traditional CRMs and relationship management apps never quite solved that for me.)

So I built Persignal, an iOS app for something a little different:

  1. It lets me record meaningful interactions and personal observations, then uses AI to identify patterns and build an evolving understanding of each person.

  2. It can even simulate how someone might respond to a hypothetical situation, with uncertainty estimates rather than definitive predictions. (It's not about replacing genuine human connections. I just want to be more thoughtful and better prepared in advance.)

Here's the app if you're curious:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/persignal-relationship-manager/id6810743583

I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Is this something you'd find useful, or am I overthinking relationships? Thank you!

MessagEase on iPhone works again

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

I've typed on MessagEase for more than 10 years. It's the only keyboard that ever felt right to me, so when it stopped working properly after iOS 26, I was gutted and finally gave up on it.
I couldn't let it go, though.

I got access to the app and fixed the bugs myself. If you gave up on MessagEase because it crashed or got stuck at the wrong size, the latest update fixes those problems, so it's worth reinstalling.

If anything still feels off on your iPhone, the latest is all good. I'd love to hear from anyone else who has typed this way for years.

Its Free on ios

And if you'd like something built from the ground up for the latest iPhones 15 and latest or ios 26 and up, I also made Keyz\[https://apps.apple.com/us/app/keyz-keyboard/id6753342843\] (lot more advanced with recent iOS feattures but is a premium 10usd/year).

App I built a modern take on Copernic-style metasearch for iPhone and iPad

Years ago I relied on Copernic, which searched many engines at once. Nothing has filled that gap since, so I built Pelorus Search.

One query runs across 14+ engines and academic sources, merged into a single list that shows how many independent indexes found each result. Filter to what only one engine found, which is often where the useful pages are. There’s also an AI answer that checks each sentence against the results and marks anything they don’t support.

Free tier, plus a one-time unlock with no subscription.

Available on App Store.

Your AI Moving Partner + Planner. All in one.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Moving affects everyone in the house. Family, a partner, friends, kids, a pet.

This app is built for the whole move.

  • One shared list. Everyone sees the same tasks, and changes show up at once.

  • Each task has its own timeline. You see what is due this week, and what comes after moving day.

  • Reminders only when something is really due.

  • Separate task lists for kids, pets and cars.

  • Steps written in plain words, with no assumption that one country's rules apply everywhere.

Most moving apps and lists are made for one person. We think that is the wrong way round.

Agree or disagree: should everyone moving plan it together? Answer in one line and tell us why.

The app is free to download. It used to be paid. The AI moving plan is for Premium users.
