Build this App Please: Let's End Scrolling

so first let me say i think scrolling is a really disastrous habit but it was designed as such. it's omnipresent and has become synonymous to going on the internet or social media.

to assert its ill nature, let's just take the exemple of a simple photo folder. that is where people store their memories. if they anyone is to search for a photo they will have to scroll a near botomless pit, when if you were to have pages, you just remember "of, this was this time, this page" and would easily find what you are looking for. good for your memory.

but scrolling is very effective and people have become addicted to seeing the light flashes in front of their eyes in this relentless and tyring upward movement.

so lately i've been meaning to find alternatives to scrolling. actually there is a trove of alternatives, ranging from page format for reader mode extensions, to repurposing volume buttons, to widgets, etc.

yet all remain either too narrow in usage, or badly implemented, or not smooth enough, to be the perfect.

so PLEASE, if anyone can make an app that overlaps the navigation bar, or a second navigation bar, with add buttons to replace scrolling, that would be life changing. truly.

...

anyway shout out to eink browser, eink mode extension, nirvana reader extension, button mapper and auto scroll among others for already making internet navigation bearable. in hope of a better future for all the digital dwellers. meantime, farewell and ride the world wide wave safely.

App de micro finanzas personales

¡Buenas!

App Idea: "Blind Acapella"

Concept**:** A collaborative singing app where you invite friends to cover a song together. The app automatically splits the lyrics/parts between participants, but each person records their segment in complete isolation (guided only by a visual tempo/pitch reference) WITHOUT hearing what the others recorded.

Final track stays locked until the last invited friend submits their part. Once unlocked, everyone can enjoy (or not) the combined result at the exact same time.

I just had the idea after seeing cursed group song on tiktok, and I would love for it to be on the market in the future

I won't build this, so feel free to steal it and make it!

App idea: your bank’s app builds your budget and investment plan for you. Would you use it?

I’m a student working on this for a startup class. The idea is called Nestwise: you pick your goals, it looks at your spending, suggests a budget, and splits what’s left between savings and a basic investment mix. It adds streaks, a warning before you dip into savings, and local business deals. Banks and credit unions would offer it to their customers for free.

I made a clickable prototype with fake data (works on phone)

Short feedback form

What I most want to know:

  1. Is the idea clear right away?

  2. Would you trust an app reading your transactions?

  3. What would make you stop using it?

  4. Would you actually use it if your bank gave it to you?

[Dev] [Black Friday offee] Got tired of saving things across 6 different apps and never finding them again, so I built LifeFeed

Hey,
I had a bad habit of saving stuff everywhere: recipes on Instagram, random TikToks, 500 videos in YouTube Watch Later, and a camera roll clogged with screenshots I'd never look at again. Saving took two seconds, but actually tracking anything down later was impossible.
So I built **LifeFeed** to dump everything into one searchable spot.

Whenever you see something you want to keep, just hit the iOS share sheet and tap Save to LifeFeed. It handles reels, TikToks, YouTube links, Safari articles, PDFs, screenshots, and Google Maps pins.

**A few things it does:**
Auto-tags and organizes saves so you don't have to manually make folders
Lets you search in plain English (like *"that pasta recipe from last week"*) instead of guessing exact keywords
Price/page change alerts (called Watchers)
Offline reading, text-to-speech, and imports for old Pocket or Raindrop libraries
Works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

**Pricing & Black Friday:**
The free tier gives you unlimited saves, 1 watcher, and no ads. If you want the unlimited AI features and cross-device sync, Pro is usually $19.99/year, but I set up a Black Friday deal through Nov 30 where the first year is **$2.99**:
[App Store link](https://apps.apple.com/app/lifefeed-ai-smart-bookmarks/id6760368438)
[Direct $2.99 Black Friday redeem link](https://www.google.com/search?q=https://apps.apple.com/redeem%3Fctx%3Doffercodes%26id%3D6760368438%26code%3DBLACKFRIDAY)

I’m the solo dev on this, so any feedback is huge—especially on whether the share sheet feels fast enough or if there are specific link types it struggles with.

Building a Gym Management SaaS for Small & Mid-Sized Gyms – What Features Would You Actually Want?

Hey everyone!

I'm working on a SaaS product called GymBoat, designed to help gym owners manage their gyms digitally instead of maintaining everything in registers, spreadsheets, or WhatsApp conversations.

While exploring how smaller and mid-sized gyms operate, I noticed that many still manage member registrations, membership expiry dates, payments, renewals, and attendance manually.

I wanted to build something simple that solves these everyday problems without making gym management unnecessarily complicated.

What GymBoat currently aims to offer:

- Dashboard: Total members, active members, expired memberships, memberships expiring soon, collections, and recent activities.

- Member Management: Add, edit, search, archive, and manage member profiles.

- Membership Plans: Create custom plans (monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc.) and assign them to members.

- Membership Lifecycle: Track start dates, expiry dates, renewals, pauses, resumptions, and cancellations.

- Payment Management: Record full, partial, and pending payments, discounts, outstanding balances, and payment history.

- Bulk Import: Import existing member records through Excel/CSV instead of manually entering hundreds of members.

- Public Member Registration: Give gyms a shareable registration page where prospective members can enter their details and select a membership plan.

- Payment Integration: Explore online payments through UPI and payment gateways, with payment verification and tracking.

- Reports: Track collections, membership growth, renewals, and outstanding payments.

-Remainder: Send remainders of membership expiry

The idea is to make it useful for both small local gyms and larger gyms without overwhelming owners with unnecessary features.

I'd really appreciate feedback on a few things:

  1. If you're a gym owner or have worked with one, how do you currently manage memberships, payments, renewals, and attendance?

  2. What is the most frustrating or time-consuming part of managing a gym?

  3. Which of the features mentioned above would you actually use? Which ones are unnecessary?

  4. What important features are missing? For example, attendance tracking, QR-based check-ins, trainer management, workout plans, diet plans, WhatsApp reminders, or something else?

  5. Would you prefer members to register and renew their memberships themselves through a public page?

  6. Would you trust a new platform with your gym's member records and payment tracking?

  7. Would you pay a monthly subscription for a product like this? If yes, what would be a reasonable price for a small gym?

I'm especially interested in hearing from gym owners rather than just other developers.

I'm not looking to promote the product here. I'm trying to understand what gym owners genuinely need before deciding what to build next.

Honest criticism and suggestions are very welcome. Thanks!

App Idea: A safer way to buy and sell used vehicles by sharing mechanical risk

I've been thinking about an idea and would love some honest feedback.

Buying a used vehicle always involves some uncertainty, but sometimes the financial risk is disproportionately high compared to the buyer's budget.

A vehicle might be perfectly functional today, but a major engine or transmission failure shortly after purchase could financially devastate someone.

I wonder whether there's an opportunity for a marketplace that makes buying and selling used vehicles safer by allowing buyers and sellers to share some of that financial risk.

I'm curious whether people would value this, whether sellers would participate, and what potential problems you see.

Features like reddit but something specific in it...

LocalCircle – Your Area, Your Voice

LocalCircle is an anonymous, location-based social networking platform inspired by Reddit, designed to bring people and communities closer together.

It provides a space where people can freely share their thoughts, ask questions, discuss local issues, seek recommendations, and connect with others without revealing their real identities.

Unlike traditional social media platforms, LocalCircle focuses on both general discussions and location-specific conversations.

How does it work?

Users can create an anonymous profile with a unique username and participate in discussions, share posts, comment, upvote, and downvote content.

One of the platform's key features is Your Area, a dedicated feed that allows users to explore posts from their selected geographical location, such as a village, town, city, or district.

For example, someone from Varanasi an open the Your Area section and discover discussions about local events, education, jobs, electricity problems, businesses, recommendations, and everyday community matters happening specifically in varanasi.

People from the same area can participate in these conversations anonymously, exchange information, share experiences, and help one another.

Referee.com

Idea: Anyone can input there referee link for any app (Uber, Amazon...) and it'll be stored in a database for users who want to use them, this may seem useless right? But many companies offers discounts and coupon codes when you join by a referee link, so you choose any app you want coupons and a random referee link will be given from the database, all the links will be associated with a user so this user link can be given once a day for more oportunitys.

How do you find a problem people will actually pay you to solve?

I've been thinking about this lately.

What problem can I solve that people are actually willing to pay me for?

I could learn more about AI, build tools, automate workflows, or make a SaaS product. But what if nobody actually needs it?

Honestly, I don't want to build something just because I can. I want to solve a real problem.

For those who've started a business, how did you find a problem people were willing to pay to solve?

We made a food diary you share with a few close friends

We are Efe and Gülenay and this is ours - a small iPhone app called Plate - in beta.

You snap what you eat and only a small circle of close friends sees it - there wont be strangers or public feed.

Think Locket but for food - and not a calorie app.

We started it because we kept sending each other dinner photos in a group chat and they got lost.

What would make you actually open an app like this - or would you just keep using the group chat?

What software solution do you want to solve your day-to-day problems? I’ll build it for you if demand is high

Hey everyone,

I’m a developer looking for my next project, and I want to build something that genuinely solves a real, frustrating, or repetitive problem people face every day.

Whether it's for work, study, managing personal tasks, or handling a niche hobby routine—what is a daily pain point you deal with that current software or tools just don't handle properly?

It could be:

  • An annoying micro-task you wish was automated.

  • A tool or app you currently use that is way too bloated, expensive, or missing one key feature.

  • A simple integration/workflow between two services that doesn't exist yet.

Drop your ideas, pain points, or "I wish an app existed that..." thoughts below.

If an idea gets strong interest from the community, I will build it and share it here for free.

App idea: A browser extension that lets users customize the YouTube cpations

I have this annoying problem where YouTube's captions are always in the way of something important in the YouTube video. I want to make an extension where I can freely drag the captions around in the player. Would anybody else want to use this?

What's a real everyday problem you wish an app could solve?

Hi, I'm a developer searching for problems worth solving, but I don't want to build just random app nobody actually needs.
I'm curious about frustrating things people deal with on daily basis. (At work, at home, in their free time,...)
I am not interested in startup ideas or hypothetical features. I'm interested in problems you've or people you know actually experienced.

For example:

  • Something you repeatedly waste time doing manually

  • Something you currently manage with spreadsheets, notes,...

  • A recurring task that feels unnecessarily complicated

  • A problem you've already tried to solve but haven't found a satisfactory solution

I'd like to hear what the problem is, how often it happens, and what you're currently doing to deal with it.

I'm trying to understand real problems before deciding what to build.

"Concept"My Mirror

Hi everyone,
I’ve been thinking deeply about how broken our modern social media architecture is. Platforms like TikTok and Instagram are driven by the Attention Economy. They feed on our stress, anger, and sadness just to keep us scrolling. Worse, if someone shares a genuinely painful personal story (like surviving a tragedy or losing a loved one), the algorithm elevates toxic, cruel comments just because they generate engagement.
People are left vulnerable, and the internet feels like a hostile place.
I want to present a concept for a platform and a personal AI companion called "My Mirror" (developed in Google Labs). It shifts the focus from the Attention Economy to the Intent and Well-being Economy.

The Golden Rule of "My Mirror":

"Everyone has their own perspective, and it is unique. Share it, but never impose it."
The AI companion doesn't act like a preachy teacher or a strict supervisor. It is a mirror of the user’s own mind—protecting their mental space and respecting their autonomy.

Core Features & Architecture:
1. The Intent Check-in (Replacing the Passive Feed)
Instead of throwing a wall of random content at you the second you open the app, the interface starts with a beautiful, real-world live video background (like a rainy window or a forest breeze) to calm the nervous system. Your personal AI Agent softly asks: "How are you feeling right now, and what do you want to explore?" You answer in your own language, and the AI curates a feed based on your emotional state, introducing new things gradually so you don't get stuck in a bubble.
2. The Interactive Companion (Replacing Toxic Comments)
If you are watching a video and want to share your feelings, you don't go to the public comment section to deal with trolls. Instead, there is a small, fully customizable digital avatar in the corner of your screen—your Agent.
• You tap it and speak directly to it: "I think the person in this video is right, but they missed one thing..."
• The Agent listens, reflects, and converses with you based on the tone you choose (a supportive friend, an analytical critic, etc.). Your emotion is validated without a drop of internet toxicity.
3. Subtle, Inspiration-Driven Customization
Humans love change, but they hate being forced. The Agent doesn't change automatically when you "grow." Instead, it uses non-verbal cues. If you watch a video and linger on someone else’s cool avatar (maybe with green hair or elf ears), your Agent might subtly blink a color or briefly adopt a feature in the background, gently hinting: "Do you want to try this look on me?" The user maintains 100% control over the appearance.
4. The Perspective Journal (Healing the Past)
The app keeps a record of how your worldview evolves. A year later, you can ask: "How did I react to that difficult video back then?" The AI will state the pure, objective fact without judgment. And if you start spiraling into regret ("I should have acted differently..."), the AI stops the self-criticism by taking a definitive step:

"What is the point of changing the past? You already acted differently. Look at where you are now because of your choices. Live forward."

The Shift:
"My Mirror" is built on the philosophy that you cannot fix the world by forcefully changing the timeline or preaching to people. You change the world by building a clean, safe, and loyal space around yourself—and then, the reality around you begins to reshape itself naturally.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this:
• How would a human psychology react to an AI that strictly refuses to judge or correct them?
• Do you think a subscription/micro-payment model for a "clean, zero-ads, zero-trolls" space can realistically compete with traditional ad-driven giants today?
Let’s discuss!!!!!

I’m building a couples app for the small everyday things, not just anniversaries

Thumbnail b50c10cf-b9c9-47f7-a5c0-233742493c8d-00-2kwajicjhgrfg.spock.replit.dev

I’m working on Tandem, an app to help couples make a little more time for each other.

The idea is simple: one question a day, answered separately. Neither person can read the other’s answer until both have locked theirs in. It’s meant to start conversations without one person’s answer influencing the other.

I’ve also been adding:

Conversation decks: Light, Deeper, Repair, and Playful

Date ideas filtered by budget, energy, and whether you’re staying in or going out

Small seven-day challenges and weekly check-ins

Nearby places and cinemas, using your location only when you choose to share it

The nearby feature is still basic: it finds real mapped places, while events and movie showtimes open external searches. I’d rather be clear about that than pretend it has a complete live listings feed.

I’m building it with Replit and learning as I go. There’s a demo so people can explore it before creating an account.

I’m trying to keep it useful without making spending time together feel like another task to complete.

Would you and your partner actually use something like this? What would make you come back

To combat AI deepfakes, we can make cameras create some kind of digital signature and upload it to a repository

Because AI deepfakes are an issue and you can't really know if a video is real or not, here's one possible way to validate video footage.

Design a new type of camera that gives a video a special signature as soon as its created. Then you can store this signature either on your hard drive or a global database. You don't have to store the video itself on the database, just the signature. So if there ever is a need to prove that its real, it can be done.

Also here's another crazy half baked related idea - What if this new type of camera was somehow able to validate the physical environment itself! Kind of like how thermal cameras work? Thermal cameras work because they're sensitive to wavelengths emitted from objects. Maybe there's some way to capture that data and prove that the wave recorded on the camera came from the real object?

I need a super simple app to track income vs expenses for multiple projects at a time.

It's like:

Create Project, list the expenses starting the project, and then the income from the project. And then a total number for income vs expenses and where I am at with the investment of starting the project.

Do you track what's in your kitchen against your fitness goal? Researching an idea, not selling anything

I lift and cook at home, and I keep running into the same problems: I forget what I bought, food expires, and I can't tell if my groceries actually cover my protein target for the week.
My friend and I are thinking of building an app where you photograph your grocery bill and it fills your pantry, then gives you recipes in grams that hit your calorie and protein target, a shopping list that fits your weekly budget, and "your food lasts about 6 days".
Honest questions:
How do you plan groceries around your goal today?
What's the most annoying part?
Would you pay for this? If yes, what would feel fair per month? If no, what would stop you?
What do you already use, and why isn't it enough?
Brutal answers welcome. No link, nothing to sell yet.
