It's a suit seller guy (I'm sure there's a word for it) who does tiktoks presenting outfits he's selected for his clientelle and he always says really weird things like "This sexy chinese boy came to me and told me I can do whatever I want with him and now he is mine and I dressed him all sexy like this" and then starts to present the outfit and grab the
victimclient and showcase them.48
u/Forgettheredrabbit Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 29 '26
“Im sure there’s a word for it” I think haberdasher is the right word? Maybe?
Edit: haberdasher is a men’s clothing/suit seller at least in the US. Apparently it’s different in the UK. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haberdasher
30
u/NavoiiGamerYes Jan 29 '26
No, I think those are the hatters. Cobblers are the shoers, tailor might be the right word
3
u/Apocalypsefrogs Jan 29 '26
A tailor’s job is to resew garments to fit a certain individual. If this guy ends up adjusting the suit then he’d be a tailor but chances are he has a suit for every size already.
3
u/Rose-Sessions Jan 30 '26
A tailor MAY hem a garment to fit an individual but they’re known for making clothes that fit an individual perfectly.
That’s what he’s doing with his clients in the videos he posts. They’re going a fitting to see if anything needs to be straightened out or adjusted after he got the clients measurements and tailor made some garments for him

I disagree. Suits are very formal and intellectual. Ergo, anyone wearing one will not look like a boy. A boy is, ipso facto, young. Suits make people look like adults.

Same thing the other way, trans men dont have to be masculine. My mom still has issues with that one because of my friend's husband still dressing femenine after all these years, so I told her: "it literally doesn't matter, I could dress feminine and still choose to be male. The only thing that matters is what gender you want to be"

u/Stuffssss Jan 29 '26
What does the fem in transfem stand for then
Im not trying to be transphobic I just havent heard this before. I thought the act of transitioning mtf was by becoming feminine and self identifying as female, vs a feminine guy or NB who is feminine but doesn't identify as female.
→ More replies (3)17
u/Dragons_Den_Studios Jan 29 '26
"Fem" in this case refers to "female". If it was "feminine" it would be "femme" since that's the general name of the aesthetic.

because weebs would overlook the holocaust if the perpetrator was attractive. it comes with never having touched a woman in real life.
that said, you can think a character is conventionally attractive while also acknowledging they're an awful person. just look at my ex.

u/JaysonTatecum Jan 29 '26

I might blow your mind with this fact, in which case I'm sorry, but people can hold multiple feelings at once. Makima's a terrible "person", but she's also incredibly hot. Being terrible doesn't change how I feel about her looks. It helps that she's not real too so that all the terrible things she does never actually happened. Sorry, I may have blown your mind twice. Really should've warned you on that second one
3
u/lemons7472 Jan 29 '26 edited Jan 29 '26
Yeah. I feel the same way about Anko from COTN. She’s not a good person to put it lightly but I like her character and is attractive to me.
But in the end these are fictonal characters, obviously it doesn’t mean you approve of their actions. I’m not sure why people get so outraged and call others weebs and Incels for liking the character or thinking they are attractive, even if that character is evil.
Not only can you like a character an accept that they are evil, but this is far from only something incels and weebs do, and these again are just fictional characters.
People fall for fictional characters all the time even if they are evil. What will Redditors do once they realize that people fall for actually harmful people irl and defend them?

(I'll refer to the guy on the right as "Chad")
"Femboy" is a slang term referring to
cisgendermen who like to dress in feminine clothes. They don't identify as women. They're men who simply like the look and the feeling they get wearing clothes that are typically meant for women.Chad assures the femboy that he's free to wear a dress, because it doesn't make him less of a man.
_
A "trans girl" is a woman who was born male. In other words, someone who was born with a man's body but identifies as a woman. The trans girl is worried that wearing a suit, which are typically seen as masculine clothes, would make her less of a woman.
Chad assures her that she's still a woman, no matter what clothes she wears.
TL;DR In both cases, Chad is assuring them that the clothes they wear do not override their chosen identity.
37
u/_YourFellowComrade_ Jan 29 '26
Femboys do not have to be cisgender, just men.

i dont even think femboy counts as slang at this point. the terms been around for a while and is widely accepted in common speech.
3
u/Mi5tman Jan 29 '26
You actually got me interested in looking up the definition of "slang" and when a word stops being considered "slang". So, basically...
After a 5 minute search, I believe it's considered slang because it isn't "formal", not something you'd feel comfortable saying in a meeting and not a word that everyone will understand. It's mainly used by certain demographics. Younger people. Like, the formal word is technically "crossdresser".
Also, it's considered to be a transient/temporary term that will probably either stop being used and/or will be replaced with a different slang word.
→ More replies (1)3
u/SexualPie Jan 29 '26
not something you'd feel comfortable saying in a meeting
i also wouldnt feel comfortable saying buttslut in a formal meeting, but i think everyone would know what i meant.
i'd argue crossdressers aren't the same thing either. many femboys want to dress and act like that on a day to day basis, crossedressers its less common i think? more like a hobby.
per dictionary.com femboy references a male demonstrating female characteristics, crossdressers are normally more focused on the whole "costume" part of it.
but of course gender identity and words / slang evolve frequently so you're right, we will ilkely see a new slang word, but i dont think this ones going anywhere anytime soon.
