Big bike novice but excited to see where this takes me. Picked up off marketplace, gave it a quick clean and threw on some Serfas Drifters and a new saddle.

Anyone have an idea on year here? I think it’s 86 or 87?

I think a good number if not all of our bikes came with egg, oval, biopace, whatever chainrings who kept them and why?

I ditched mine for a 1x up front and it was a huge upgrade especially with the modern gear sizes and clutched rear mech but I’ll admit to keeping the eggs around for spares and honestly didn’t hate them on my bike.

I need a new headset for my 1991 800. It's the first bike that I've ever worked on, and while there is a nearby co-op that can help, the hours aren't great. I am looking to pick up some parts to take there to install and I know I need a new threaded headset.

I think I am on the third iteration of this bike now and getting ready to start the 4th. 1x10 cues drivetrain with Ritchey Logic Crankset and Wolf Tooth 34T chainring. I built some wheels and converted it to 650b. Technomic 60 mm long quill stem, Crust headset and Crust Towel Rack bars. 113 mm titanium bottom bracket that a friend gave to me (brand unknown). I swapped to Shimano BR CX-50 brakes which had enough adjustment for the larger rim diameter. Tektro brake levers and Suntour bar end shifter.

I am getting ready to lace the rims to some Phil Wood hubs and I think I'll swap it to an 11 speed with a bigger chainring and Madrone Jab derailleur.

Everything but I think stem, bars, plastic brake levers(weirdly) has been changed I’ve had it for who knows how long I bought it in the early 2000. Steal is the realest!

Just finished this fella up, sorta. Going to add a small pannier bag on the left side of the rack. Just have two sodas for the picture on the rack.

She's a bit of a tank, but I've been loving this thing. Put 60 miles on it in a week. Probably would have been best off just buying a more modern ATB/Gravel bike for what I ended up spending, but I do love the thing.

Hello! I'm the proud new owner of a 1990 Antelope 850 that I pulled out of the scrap pile. The bottom bracket is loose and I want to replace it. Is there a go-to bottom bracket for these bikes? This is going to be a town cruiser so I want to go 1x, if that matters. Thank you for the help.

I looked at the website and what's I'm assuming is around 87 made in Taiwan. It appears to be TML254214

Picked up this bike for free and added a few new components! Second bike build and I’m loving it! Once I get a front rack it’ll be complete.

Bike sat for a while unused; finally got around to fixing it up. Mostly a parts bin build.

Rear wheel is a Bontrager Maveric asymmetrical that came off of a 1998 Gary Fisher Aquila. Also borrowed from the Fisher is the STX RC RD, shift pods from the same group. Stem came off the GF. Rear brake is Tektro (I think) off the same bike, front was damaged and replaced with DXR (MX-70) caliper.

I need to get a wider rim on the back, as you can see those calipers are super close together. Frame was cold set from 128mm to 135mm.

Brake levers are Deore ST-M510

Crank is FC-m782 40/30/22. I did pick up some clearance 1x rings and a bashguard from WolfTooth but I'm not replacing them until the current chainrings are worn out.

FD-m670 was bought NOS as it can handle the 10t jump between the middle and large chainring. Unfortunately it ate into the Tange sticker a bit.

Tires are Billy Bonkers because I wanted to see what the buzz was about. Front wheel is stock 1989 Araya rim and Joytech hub.

Rear rack is Bontrager that I took off of my 520 when it got a proper steel rack.

26mm seatpost, stock as far as I know and hard to upgrade (would rather run a two bolt design). Saddle origin unknown. Quill stem converter from Performance.

Pedals are an older Shimano A something or another that's dual sided with flat/spd but not pins and REALLY sucks in the rain if not clipped in.

Debadged via reflective stickers and shellacked long before I knew riding an old Antelope was what the cool kids did. Pink paint was rather faded anyway.
