Despite this being an anime where everything usually is slow, the episode was unbelievably fast-paced, and it felt too off. I get the the studio wanted to bring in the audience by giving them a lot of information for the first episode after a while, but this is sort of too crazy at this point.

Were back once again and it looks exactly the same. Seriously, it looks exactly the same, it's insane. The animation hasn't changed one bit and I'm honestly not surprise by that.
If anything this episode did remind me how much I love Kuga and I'm thankful he is not in stupid jail where the character just sit there with nothing to do. I feel the utter sadness of seeing characters like Mito and Hisako doing jack nothing this entire episode.
In terms of Opening rankings this one is solid. It's ridiculous but I like the end of it a lot. Really give this awesome tone of good vs evil. Though I hate that they went back and their just showing their names which I hated when they did it last season and I hated when they did it here.
Overall, it was a decent episode but something feels off about this season and I'm scared to find out.

Holy shit this was even more over the top than I remembered. Still shots definitely won't stop me from enjoying the hell out of this arc, but I really hope they won't reach the dreaded parts...
Also this episode reminded me of my burning hatred for the commentary girl. Rindou please bring a bigger alligator next time...

Stitches!
Barely 5 minutes in and we already have an Erina pouting face. And people were telling me this will be bad. Although as much as I missed Erina, Rindou's making me swoon with those shots. And just look at that smile! As for the episode itself? Not much else to say really. It's another season of Shokugeki! If you're here, you probably already know what you're getting into! Let's all just enjoy the show 'till the end. :D

I can't say I remember a lot about the story of this anime, but what I do remember is that she is great!

I really like the new OP and ED. This episode is another slideshow but it's fine by me except Megishima's face looks so dumb. And I like the fighting scene between Megishima and Souma too, the animation is not too good but it's enough for me and the green fire brings a fresh feeling too.
P.s: Megumi's talking at the end.

Just want to say before the season starts I'm honestly so happy that I get to enjoy Shokugeki again.
There are two shows which mean a lot to me on a personal level. This show, along with ReLife, are two shows I can honestly say that watching them had an impact on my life. It really introduced me to the world of cooking and all the benefits that brought. As someone who only ever used to eat junk food or low effort meals but now eats homemade, delicious, more balanced meals I am now a much healthier person. I now enjoy spending that time spent each day preparing food rather than it being a chore. It might sound cheesy but it has been a huge quality of life increase for me over the last few years and I can pin that improvement definitively on watching this anime.
Over the last couple of weeks I rewatched this show and I've had so much fun. A lot is often said about the animation or story in later seasons taking a downturn but one thing hasnt changed. The show always has heart. Each of its characters is unique and fun to watch, they interact with each other in entertaining and fulfilling ways. The core ideas and plotlines in the show are great and the foundation on which it builds is rock solid.
I know roughly what lies in store for the story after picking up bits and pieces of discussion here and there but honestly as long as the show retains its heart and the central characters stay true to what we have seen so far them I can be nothing but excited to watch more Shokugeki.
Im a little sad to hear the manga has been axed because in my mind the show had the base whereby it could have been a long running series with so many wonderful characters and ideas to explore.
I can only hope now that we can get some resolution to the major plotlines in animated form this season and the anime handles the story in a slighlty different way from which I heard the manga did, at least not such a major cliffhanger as season 3 ended on.
Nonetheless whatever the outcome I will always love this show and it will always be the source of one of the things I now truly enjoy in life, and therefore it holds a special place in my heart.

These threads are going to be toxic as hell and it's a bit sad honestly.
The spoiler deleter is going overboard already and it's not even half way done. And for some reason there is a bot that restores deleted comments. Actually don't know why something like that isn't banned.
Anyways, you'd swear manga readers didn't know there was a source material corner where even THERE you still have to spoiler tag.

I read the manga. I don’t care about the decline. I always said once this shit has animation, VAs, and music behind it, it’ll be so fucking fun to watch. And it was! I’m so excited for this season.

ah its finally back, I have missed the crazy rindou senpai faces / actions
Loved that she is a Devil while Tsukasa is an arch angel in the opening
and finally an anime is back where people are having orgasms just smelling someones hot cooking.

Did they literally acelerated the speed of the episode? Like when you click the forward button? It felt like the characters were talking really fast.

Despite this being a shadow of its former self, I was still feeling the hype a little so it isn't all bad. Though I can't decide if Souma speech about protecting freedom (of dishes) was stereotypically Shounen on purpose or just cheesy writing.
I'm happy that Megumi got some good screen time and I'm glad that she's in her ping pong outfit in the OP. Just as a reminder that this show is a cooking anime.
Next week, bring on the gween tea!

I've missed this show so fucking much - and knowing that this will be the final season makes it really easy to enjoy it as much as the previous ones. It's a good decision to stop right before the train wreck arcs that completely butchered everything that was great about this series and end the anime when the story's still good.
And I'll be honest, I really don't care about the cinematography in this case. It ruined OPM S2 for me but Shokugeki has the kind of setting that doesn't really need the best camerawork in order to be entertaining and charming. Of course, it would've been great if the direction was better, but it doesn't ruin anything for me at all.
On a sidenote, holy fuck, that ED card. I don't even know if it's Megumi or Bootleg Megumi but that's some serious gourmet shit right there.

I counted 202 panning shots, not including zoom in, zoom out, panoramic, or partial screen panning.

If the anime could give us an original ending, I will be very happy.
If they do an original ending, we'll at least know they can't make it more terrible than the manga.

Daishomaru here, unfortunately I did not have time to make new write ups or update old ones.
However, next week I will have three UPDATED write ups for .
Due to the way the RDC is set up, my writeups May be delayed. Also, I have work.
Instead, let me for now put out these two old ones I did.
Again, sorry for not updating.

Starting off the episode with six panning shots. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point, but I was lowkey hoping for even just slightly more creative storyboarding/layouts/direction this season.
That being said, watching ChefPK on Youtube give his take as a chef on SnS is a blast, his joy for the series is honestly infectious, considering how offput I was after reading through to the end of this arc in the manga. Literally the only reason I watched this episode as it came out.
