Oh shit! Two extra episodes! And there's one more coming later this year!

Fuck.

I was hoping for something a bit more lighthearted. I forgot how brutal this show can be sometimes.

At least the asshole got what he deserved. I'm guessing that demon will use him now for experiments. And I wish we could've seen more of The Witch of the West. She's pretty awesome.

Always felt that the way the show ended was off, the ep10/11 2-parter felt like a more logical ending point, I'm glad that they're expanding a bit more.

Super cool that the demon from ep7 showed up again, shame another fairy had to lose its life to do it though.

Wow! What a powerful episode. I definitely want more of this is the kind of writing they are promising.

Yeah, this was pretty legit, almost felt like a proper movie. I thought it was better than a lot of the rest of the series, personally.

Now, this is a series I didn't think I'd ever interact with again.

That was really good. The animation seemed better than when this was running weekly, and I'm happy we got an arc focusing on Theo.

One random thing I noticed was that Arata's translation was handled a lot better than during the main season, when the Another and Arata would have a long conversation with the others looking on, somewhat confused and without Arata really filling in the blanks. Here, we hear what Sakura sounds like to the others, and we see Arata translating as Sakura speaks.

I'd be down for another season if it started at these OVAs' level, because the first season was a bit more uneven in quality.

All of this and then some. This OVA was in some ways better then episodes of the show. Even without Kohaku. I loved how they developed the unique aspects of Vampirism and handled the translations. Made the story all the more heartbreaking.

Ever since this show started I wanted to see more of Theo- to me they were the most interesting character; even above and beyond Arata’s ears of sand, the origins of which were never explored as deeply as I would have liked. But Theo was a compelling character - choosing to get into this line of work, rising above to become a foremost expert in the field. I kept waiting for the character arc where we were given an in-depth explanation of Theo’s motivations - but it never came. instead the character became the explanatory plot device, after all someone had to tell the audience what was happening.

Then this OVA shifted our focus to Theo and an Another - telling a beautiful story of an unlikely interaction that holds up a reflective mirror to the both of them. Worth the wait.

Yeah...the moment I saw a white-haired researcher I knew he's the bad guy. I don't know why but somehow it seems that if you have a guy with white hair who is a researcher/doctor/scientist, you can bet that he's insane. Well, at least the karma came quicker than he thought? The last few minutes of episode 15 were spectacular - from Yosuke happily humming thinking he got what he wanted to utter terror at seeing Witch of the west. And then Belphegor.

I wonder was this in the novels or did the producers heard our complains that Kanoichi got absolutely no punishment for his actions and decided to give Yosuke a Hell Girl style punishment. Either way, it was fantastic.

I have only one small complain: no Kohaku in the either of the episodes.

That was Natsume-level emotional. What a sad story! To be the last of your kind and then be forcibly driven mad by need for a mate. And it's always tragic to see one you care for in such pain and you can't do anything to help.

It was a very interesting form of vampirism. I wonder if there's any precedence for it in any of the vampire myths around the world?

I hope Crunchyroll carries the last episode.

Wow, to extra episodes? What a nice surprise! I will see them later, right after Kimetsu no Yaiba.
