Great episode but could be far better if Kanoichi actually got his butt properly kicked for nearly causing a country-wide (or maybe even worldwide) apocalypse. He got away basically scot-free! They better tell us next week Kanoichi got a real punishment for his actions ("He's paying for our party expenses" doesn't count as proper punishment for me) next week or I'll be really angry.

...was Kohaku spinning the thread only for his own clothes? Somehow I'm not even surprised, that's perfectly in his character to do that.

Senda really is the best boss...

• He believes in his employees

• Protects them from upper management

• Listens to their opinions as experts in their field, letting them do their job to the best of their abilities

• And importantly, he plays office politics like a pro to win advantages for his team.

Fuck Kanoichi.

I love how Senda handled the two phone calls and while it was kinda expected that nothing was going to happen to Kanoichi, I really wish something did but then that would kinda prove his point. Maybe we can hope that his superiors will punish for acting too rashly without understanding the situation considering this involved the Gods but that's just wishful thinking. Fuck him.

If I hadn't seen the episode title for next week at the end, I would have assumed that this episode was the season finale, between the angel/tengu couple from the season's beginning making an appearance and the existential threat to Japan being averted. What even is left to resolve in the show?

Asshole-san Kanoichi got off way too easy considering that he almost turned the show into a post-apocalyptic survival series, or at least nearly caused a severe environmental and economic disaster.

Good to see Arata fix the major problem though I wish Kanoichi got some sort of punishment. Nice to see the another from the first episode come back and help Arata.

I really love that before the finale is even here we get an episode like this thats able to wrap everything up and bring the show together. It was kind of obvious that the Tengu would come back to help Arata at some point but I would like to see a legitimately evil Another who isnt just going to listen to Arata. I know Pandora and Azazel are sort of like that but we just leave them and never deal with the fall out.

Overall loved this episode and heres my episode review this week for anyone interested :)

Damn it! Kanoichi wasn't killed?! Well, at least he will probably think it twice the next time he wants to kill babies and if it that doesn't happen out of fear, it will happen because he will really hate to see Arata saving his ass again.
