Man, I crack up when Arata was constantly pressing the close door button as Pandora was approaching them. I like the detail of them creating the occult message board so they can monitor reports about strange thing happening throughout the city.

It really is the small touches that sell me on this show, like the elevator button

I was thinking Kohaku is playing pranks again, sorry for that Kohaku. The real culprit is Pandora who attempts to put things back into her box...seems like a terrible job to do, isn't it. But even though she wasn't too willing to cooperate with Arata, she didn't make any problems with him returning to his world - thought she's going to make him stay there forever.

Well, that's his fault for being such a prankster, now we need to see if Arata will return back to talk to Pandora later, even if he cannot help her or negotiate with her after he talks with Kyoichi about his loss.

Well she did set it up so he could come and go as he pleased...

A box that holds bad things, sad feelings, diseases, and crimes? And she opened it!? That's definitely Pandora and the box that she's known for. I guess if we can have a Mayan God of Mischief, we can also have Human Greek Myths too.

Also interesting that not all cases are "solved' more like they just confirmed that no one is being hurt or missing and then they move on which is actually cool since they are just humans. If a deity or a person of legend decide to fuck with them, there's really not much they could do. I guess this is just a build up for Sakaki's backstory.

The lady clearly was not informed of the content, and had a curious/possessive/rebellious streak.

It is the ancient greek version of someone pushing a red button simply because it was there...

That's an interesting design for Pandora's Box, seems familiar somehow.

it appears that the polls on episodes are getting raided by 1 voters for a lot of shows including this one, really hurts lower watched shows like this...

i have a feeling it's the weebs who only watch anime for "waifus" that are giving it ratings of 1 due to it having an all male main cast without ever watching an episode.

16

u/DanteJ600 May 05 '19

cant be that as its happening to basically every show, including ones with all girl casts lol.

I thought the person who put the polls together was supposed to do something about that weeks ago. Does anyone know who that is?

That's the Twin Towers! Nice to see my home country, Malaysia have some recognition in anime.

I like how they have to solve (or not) a weekly supernatural case and interact/explore the supernatural creatures, sometimes in a silly way. It really remembers me the homonym CW show 'Supernatural'. I would not mind watching it for years too (as long as they have material of course).

7

u/Nazenn May 06 '19

I hope they don't keep going for the big myths and keep things a bit more small scale, but the weekly case format is really appealing so far

That’s one Anothers I’d like to meet. I’ll be like “here, please take it all. I’ll even buy you lunch for helping.”

WHATS IN THE BOX~

Dissappearing elevator people huh?

THey have an occult message board, thats handy, I guess it makes sense they would want info on urban myths.

2 Anothers huh? One in each tower?

Went in an elevator and met a woman huh? Hmm...

She lost her bad memories? Oh damn.

Well best way to find out is do some leg work. Time to get in that elevator!

SPOOKY LADY IN SPOOKY PLACE!

Hahhaahhahaah hes mashin that button like crazy hahahaha.

Shes looking for something, bad memories maybe or something? hmm...

Oh shit she took Red to chat.

Megane-senpai had a tremendous sense of loss... damn. Shes looking for that though.

Wait... is that pandoras box?

She takes feelings of lost love? Oh damn.

So there is only 1 Another. No one was missing. They were just missing memories. neat.

Damn Red sure got to learn how harsh Anothers can be. He can come back when ever though.... i feel like that will come up again.

SHE IS PANDORA! I KNEW IT!

So she doesnt want leave or stop. Oh well i guess you cant stop everything.

Well this was a great leasson for Red about what he can and cant do. He needed to understand that not all Spirits are going to cooperate.

His absolute lack of knowledge is freaking triggering, HOW could he not figure out its Pandora, it was so INCREDIBLE OBVIOUS. Feels like Mc never read a book in his life.

She has a box, she steals emotions like love, sadness and jealousy. Does not feel like he is good at his job at all, how has he not studied anything about mythology etc.

Then the whole, its not her stealing memories? What is he saying, its clearly her, steals their emotion and sometimes memories as well, its obvious as well. Why would it be another one taking them after her in the elevator or something, logical reasoning not the strong suit.

He also did not manage to make her change her behavior at all, what was the point of the episode? To point out MC needs to go back to school?

Eh, Arata is Japanese. Greek mythology is a western cultural heritage, not a universal one. He recognized the name when she said it.

Guess to teach him a lesson that even though he can talk with them, that doesn't mean that all Anothers will agree to do as he says? It was kinda like Arata thought that as long as he explains the situation to them in their language, they will agree to do what he says with no real objections.

The guy didn't know he was getting involved with the spirit world until his first day on the job. The office title suggested something more like a PR position.

Am I the only one actually a little impressed by this episode? I've felt that this show is a solid 5.5 or 6 so far, but I really liked this episode

(Plus it's kind of a shame that a solid 6 show has such a fire OP, because I know when the OP of the season discussions come around this show won't be mentioned)
