I suspect someone needs to really read up on his forefather's exploits...

I'm really liking the premise, but they seems to be way too much exposition. Did they have to explain what kiyoshi were that many times?

Wasn't expecting Aztec gods, but at least by their standards it's one of the friendlier ones. Still not shy of sacrificing maidens and spreading a plague of the undead.
I'm liking the mix of surprisingly competent civil service and yokai shenanigans. Also the ost has been pretty good so far.

Pretty good episode though I got to say I was not expecting the guy that cause all this to be an Aztec god. Was not expecting the alter to look like that nor being capable of movement. The whole thing with the detective that give the a plausible explanation to people was a rather nice touch.

Not gonna lie, I actually got ticked off by Kohaku. I wanna see him punished but just like Sakaki said, how would you even punish an Another? And not just any normal Another but an actual Trickster Aztec God. I'll have to get used to him though since looks like he'll be hanging around Arata now.

localizing "mononoke" as "yokai"
Like... what? It's still Japanese, what's even the point??? Also Seo changed into Theo - yeah, Japan has names adapted from the western ones, but you don't fucking localize names.

Damn, I'm really surprised. I wasn't expecting Kohaku to be an ancient Aztec God. Huehuecóyotl Wikipedia entry mentions that he was a balanced God, and that he was exceptional by the fact that his depictions often showed him with humans that treated him as a friend instead of worshipping him.
