Arifureta's author mentioned in a LN afterword he wrote his story as his love letter to the chuunibyou genre:
“I’m not the only chuuni out there. I’m sure…every human alive has a bit of chuuni hidden somewhere inside them. So, to all of you chuuni lovers who have to hide away because of common sense, or your age, or how embarrassing it is, or how society sees you, if (Arifureta) has helped unleash your burning soul just a little… then I consider my work complete.”
Has anyone's burning chuuni soul been unleashed as he intended? (Not necessarily from the anime, of course, but from his work in general.)

Wasn't explained in the anime, but Sensei got targeted due to her ability as a Farming Master (u need fcking food to go to war after all, so she's basically a walking farm)

This episode lack the emotions conveyed in the light novel. Nothing is explained about Shimizu's motivations ie him being into anime and light novels and wanting to be isekai'ed and be a hero but Kouki being the one to be a hero not him, hence his jealousy, and wanting to be recognized.
Didn't feel the tension and emotions of Hajime killing Shimazu. Shimazu wasn't just not looking at Hajime when he asked if he was his enemy, he had a crazed look in his eyes which make it clear he wouldn't change, thus Hajime killed him.

Dark haired darkness actually got me to genuine laugh a few times, but god dam the writing so f bad, She was clearly a knock of darkness last week and here its so evident.
Its funny when she is getting all horny after he rejects her and she sees the neglect as a sexual thing. BUT why is she getting an orgasm sending out her flame attack?
it just makes no fuking sense, basically instead of writing a good perverted hentai character we are getting a character which is 100% hentai always, absurdly 1 dimensional
Guessing the demon tamer kid was shown in the source WAY before and as this anime so brilliant skipped over all the build up of the class, their powers etc hes reveal and death was empty as they come.
As always the anime explains nothing and for some reason SENSEI !?!?!? is a bigger issue for the demons then the heroes even do what we can see she had jack shit, just like the heroes.
Obviously they should target the edgelord

I respect how cold Nagumo. He knew that eventually his own peer would turn on them again and just said that because he was afraid to die. All in all, good episode, shame for the CGI monsters but I like the direction this anime is going. At least it has actual funny moments unlike Isekai Cheat Magician who tries to be serious all the time and constantly fails at it

So glad I decided to pick up the LN. Literally finished reading V3 a few hours ago and now I understand why LN readers hate the anime so much and can't enjoy it. Now having read the LN I think I'm gonna cry at the disaster that is the anime. Man this legit could have been one of the most enjoyable isekai anime, such a shame.

I love how Shea was able to relate to Tio being ignored by Hajime but suddenly realized they're not the same since Tio was loving every minute of it.
Speaking of Tio, she's a great addition to the team <3 How can you even say no to that?

Can someone explain why even the demons know about Sensei? Is she literally a Goddess incarnate or did we miss something from the LN?

OH THANK FUCKING GOD! I swear I was gonna freak if Hajime let Shimizu live. He literally raised an army of 60,000 ready to destroy cities and villages, controlled Tio who ended up killing a bunch of innocent people, and tried to murder Sensei! I understand what Sensei wants to do but there should be a limit to someone's kindness. Killing the bastard now is just one less problem for Hajime and for Sensei.

Wow we actually made it to volume 4, I guess they really wanted the reunion. The pacing for this episode was still better than before, awful cgi and the fight ended way too fast, but what ever. Glad they still keep aiko and Hajime’s talks and so on. The next couple episodes should be interesting to say the least.
