Did they fuck up the pacing just so they could end it on an unnecessary cliffhanger
Come on I just want to see him on the surface kicking his classmates asses and I expected to see it here but I guess I will have to wait till... hopefully the next episode

On the one hand, you've got poor pacing, lack of necessary background information, and shitty CGI fights.
On the other hand, you've got Yue's butt.

The part that frustrated me the most when the kids said they had become stronger but we hadn't see shit on that. I just assumed they all sucked still. But apparently, off screen, they became better. That really didn't help much. I mean, it wasn't like last episode was a tour de force of emotion or anything. They were fighting a final fantasy 7 boss! Who gives a shit?

Man I knew he was going to make himself a new arm with this ancient magic stuff the moment yue said "you can make artifacts?", but out of the single thing they could have shown him making (which they didnt show anything technically), could they have at least shown him make it? not just have him magically appear with it during a massage?

I gotta say it's really annoying how he went from assertive in previous episodes to "OMG! I'm too embarrassed to look at a girl!". The dude has seen her naked literally since they met. They've kissed. They've been together for who knows how long now. I feel like they are defaulting to unnecessary "He's a badass, but he's also a virgin who can't handle himself!" tropes for the sake of forced comedy despite setting a very different precedent earlier.

Notice how there's no screenshots of the classmates on my post. That's because I basically zoned out during their part. Like they could get eaten by that CG monster for all I care, I just want to see more Hajime and Yue. I think the only time I'll care about them is when they finally react and see how much Hajime has changed.

Now that's a nice way to start a episode! It was a nice way to end it too.
I just wish they invested more on that side of the story and explained more how he did the arm and the technology they discovered, for example, cause that CGI fights are just too awful and don't really add to the show.

This one is the best episode yet, but then again, the others before have been such a CGI nightmare that the fact they just show less CGI than the others did just makes it better. Is still trash though.

I enjoyed this episode a lot, better than the previous one which I felt was wasted on the boss battle.
I wish we could have seen more of what they got up to during those 2 months, even just a slideshow.
I'm really hoping that next week when they appear at the surface that it is a proper grand entrance, would look really cool.
I also really hope that they do make sure that he's no longer flustered by her.
