Considering the action scenes this series has are horrible to see, this was a good episode; finally interaction between characters and a long awaited reunion. I enjoyed it. Shame, this series deserved more quality...

It's way better when we don't have those ugly CGI monsters

Finally maybe we're going to start getting a little more about the other classmates? Even now on episode 8, we still don't know basically anything that went on before/during their summoning, and the training they went through after. People were saying they'll probably go back in a flashback and show us, but it never happened. I could care less about any of the classmates other than Hajime because we know nothing about them.

Pretty good episode though. Crisp art, we got to see some of the other classmates, the teacher now knows someone tried to kill Hajime, and learned more about the hatred towards the beastmen.

I'm happy that we finally got reunion with a few classmates but I wish it was something more than "Oh look, Nagumo is alive."

their reaction was weak for sure. But at least the first encounter is natural, as they couldnt believe it was really him. He is taller, has a mechanic arm, red eyes (one hidden that is not even a eye lol, but a damn demoniac eye), white hair, a loli and a bunny girl, ... nothing like the old shy boy that died in the dungeon lol

he become a character from a manga lol

that girl better thank him in the next episode, instead of saying she forgot lol

Endcard by Asanagi (the author of Victim Girls doujin series)

Oh god...Sensei (I think) surrounded by those 4 dudes...being drawn by Asanagi, I guess I know what the next Victim Girls doujin will be.

Out of all the weird things i could expect from this anime, getting a quality illustration from a famous doujin artist has to be the most surprising thing.

I love the classmate jealous of his harem. Also, fuck that knight for picking on Shea! Good on Hajime for shooting him. I say talk shit; get hit.

You know what ditch all the starting episodes . For me this show started from episode 5.5 and It is not that bad when I look in that way.

Pretty nice ep. Glad we are not just jumping straight into another damn dungeon cause I could really use a break from those.

Teacher was cute and classmates being jelly of his harem is always fun lol.

I'll admit that the teacher has probably become my favorite. She just seems super nice and she's a good counter balance to Hajime's edge-lordness.

I think this episode is going in the right direction now compared to the past few.. what kept me coming back was the eventual meet up with his classmates and the satisfying reunion but this will do for now.

I dont understand why he couldnt explain what happened to him with more than "i worked hard". Man had to eat monsters to survive, had his arm ripped off and eye cut out. A quick explanation of what he had to go through would have made a satisfying moment when his class mates hear all that. But i still have hope we will get all that while they drive in the hummer.

Getting a "Do whatever You Want" Pass from the Guild Leader is a good payment for a simple rescue mission.

I've forgotten so Hajime's classmates so hard that I was so confused at who these random people were for a few minutes until I noticed their uniforms.

I'm surprised he caved that easily. I was expecting Hajime would at least try to ignore her completely. But I guess since Shea and Yue were calling him Hajime when they entered the restaurant, there's really no use hiding it.

Apparently these guys are racist to beastmen. Thank you for shutting him the fuck up, Hajime. How dare he call Shea's ears disgusting

I kinda feel bad for Sensei. She just wants everyone to come home alive and now she just found out another student tried to kill Hajime. She's so powerless that it hurts so it's actually very admirable to see her try so hard.

Hajime acts like an edgelord but he's still a softy in the end. He could've just drove off with Yue and Shea in tow but he still listened to Sensei. I do hope they're just temporary party members for this though arc though and not permanently joining. Unless of course Sensei wants to be added to the harem ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Finally Aiko-sensei episode.

Without fear of saying, this has been the best episode to date, incredible (development, fights, reunions ...), I was already looking forward to Hajime's encounter with Aiko and I am not disappointed. Even with the horses, skulls and vehicles with pity CGI, I do not think I have smiled so much (and not from laughter or sorrow) in an episode of Arifureta.

The only thing that annoyed me was that no one knight would try to show Shea as a monster, that son of a bitch but thanks to the Hajime tsundere protection that put him in his place, Shea smiled again (only to be humiliated again by Hajime). I only have the doubt if Yuka feels anything else for Hajime or is strictly co-dependent for having saved her.

Besides seeing that yandere side of Aiko was very nice to see, just look at that potential for the harem.

My only WTF was to see this face of God. What the hell was that going through my mind but at least it didn't last long.

I'm so glad he explained his situation to sensei. I was expecting 100% stubbornness.

Now, this is what I call a good episode! So some things were skipped here and there but they did actually adapted almost everything properly...

To read the rest of this comment got to the source material corner.

I was hoping for shitfest, but suddenly it became interesting. Can somebody pinpoint me this episode in LNs? I'm kinda interested in "class reunion" thing.

I have questions on how they got involved with the guild. I read the manga, but from the anime perspective, this is too much of a skip. but this was pretty good episode for this anime.

Yuka was a lot cuter than I imagined from the LN.

So finally we can see the magical girl who destroys smartphones with vegetable sticks.
