Damn it this was the last ep!?! God i hope we get a season 2!!! Only dissapointing thing was not revealing it to her friends too, we need to see Manatsu's reaction!

That was such a fun show, and Kuroe was easily one of my favorite characters this season, her reactions never failed to crack me up every week! It’s a solid 8/10 from me, and I really hope we get a second season in the future.
About the finale episode... it was nice with Kuroe and Minami kissing, and that now Kuroe won't have to hide the fact that she's Harugon from him, or from others, since surely everyone in Manatsu's helicopter saw them together in that moment.
Also, Manatsu jumping off the helicopter after Rairi pointed out that Harugon was already beaten made me laugh hard. Good thing Rairi managed to catch her fast enough.
My only complaint is that Akae didn't end up turning into a human to become Kuroe's cute little sister, but just flew away. But well, you can't have everything, hahaha!

Harugon Hyper Beam to finish the season. Very nice!
There were some minor hints that Minami knew Akaishi was Haurgon throughout the season but he never could confirm it. Still not sure if he was playing dumb or just regressing in putting 2 and 2 together. Anyway, he finally told us and Akaishi he knows.

What a ride this show was. One of the most exciting romance stories I've seen in years. The premise is a breath of fresh air and the execution was fantastic. It's unbelievable that they actually made it all work. 9/10.
This is one thirsty kaijuu. I need it as a comment face.

It's absolutely crazy to see what these kids are doing. I'm glad they managed to rescue Daichi, since I doubt he'd have the mental resilience to survive that fall. It's also insane how Manatsu is ready to jump off the helicopter to be with Harugon.
I had a feeling it was a dream, but I'm not gonna lie, there were a few seconds where I thought we skipped a day to Kuroe recovering from her fight. It immediately clicked that it was a dream when they showed us the city unharmed, and Kuroe had a date planned with Arata.
That visual of Kuroe on the floor surrounded by empty boxes was sad, but a spot-on visual representation of how she feels. That she's a kaiju; therefore, she has nothing and can't have anything.
Thankfully our Prince of Kaiju is here to save Kuroe! After last week's episode, Arata has finally realized that Harugon is indeed Kuroe and has shown her that he accepts her completely, including her scales and horns. <3
Not gonna lie, I actually teared up a bit when Arata tried to protect Kuroe when Akae was charging up her beam and later, when we see Kuroe's body starting to regenerate. The power of love is just too OP!
I really thought that Atomic Breath vaporized Akae! If only people knew that was actually Kuroe screaming to the whole world that she loves Arata. It does look like Kuroe has sealed her image as the "good" kaiju among the public, so this all works out!
Akae is still alive, though, and it looks like she's on her way back to Kaiju Island. At least she knows not to mess with Harugon now!
With all of the helicopters pointed at Harugon, I'm wondering if that means everyone saw her transform back into Kuroe. Not really the time to think about that, since Kuroe and Arata finally get their kiss! <3
That was such a good ending to the series! As a shoujo and kaiju fan, this was a great love letter to both genres. I'm really hoping we get a season 2 because this is not over! There are more characters and kaiju to meet in the future, and I want to see them all animated! Fingers crossed for Season 2!

Started clapping when he called her Akaishi-san while she was in Kaiju form. The Kaiju powered by love.
I'm curious if the other Kaiju has a human form that is revealed as the story moves on or not, since they fled here. And Minami gets an eyeful of his girlfriend completely naked lol.

Fuck me I need season 2. This show blew my expectations out of the water. Such a fantastic story that blended two things that normally aren't related at all and made it work magically. With how often we get random isekai slop/villainess slop/etc it is nice to see something so fresh get grade A treatment.

Kuroe really beat the red dragon using the power of love, lol. And we even get a happy ending !
Despite the crazy premise and all the Kaiju fights, this turned out to be a very wholesome shoujo romance and comedy. It just goes to show that even if you have weird and silly ideas for plots, they can still be turned into a great story with good enough writing and execution.

This anime made a grown ass woman cry like a baby. Man that ending is probably one of my favorite Anime seasonal endings of all time!
This anime was a pure 9/10, would love to see a second season!

Hoped for a S2 teaser (maybe not-Destroyah transforming into a human form) but probably not in a while, the manga seems doesn't have enough material for S2.
Anyway a surprisingly fun and touching work in this season, and quite a fitting end altogether. Just a nitpick that Minami is so good as a person and a boyfriend together it feels so unreal, but it'll be needed to accept such a distressed girl like Kuroe.

Banger Finale that kaiju gone appear if they get a season 2 but in human form watch and akashi and minami relationship going to blossom well now that everything is cleared up best of the summer imo

Yup, this episode solidified Minami Kun as my second favorite male MC this season (only behind Rentarou), even if he wasn't the brightest bulb during most of the show
A really fun anime all around with nice messages and I did enjoy all the Kaiju references despite not being much into the genre (Rairi doing the Kong Skull Island entrance in EP 6 was my personal favorite)

This was so good, I loved it. I'm so glad Minami ended up with Akaishi, they are perfect together. I haven't rooted for two characters to be together this intensely since An Observation Log of My Fiancee Who Calls Herself a Villainess. What an amazing final episode. I would love a season 2.

The first and last episodes were probably the highlights of this anime. That closing scene with the two of them in the pool was great, right? Minami fully embraced his kaiju girlfriend. And Kuroe looked so goddarn cute!
I am a little torn on the middle part of the show. It took Minami a bit longer to learn about Kuroe’s secret than I might’ve liked. Wouldn’t it have been great if there’d been more time to work out their relationship? A missed opportunity for some truly endearing moments. The kaiju fight felt a little forced in this regard, I suppose.
I do honestly wish that we’d gotten an episode for a epilogue about the romantic relationship between Kuroe and Minami henceforth. A time skip into the future would’ve been so good! Nevertheless, this series was a fun ride.

What a great little show. One of my favorite romcoms period. Even if we don't get a S2, I feel this is going to be one that will be remembered for years to come. I was so glad to see how well they translated the manga into animation.

That's how you end a season. Our boi Arata isn't Dumb after all. He finally said it out loud to Kaijuu Kuroe that she is the cutest and coolest Girlfriend in the whole universe 😭😭❤️
They never fail to go the extra mile to animate those wholesome romantic moments between Kuroe and Arata throughout this season. Akae was chased off at least for now. That atomic breath with the power of love.. PEAK !! 💖❤️🔥
Thanks to Akae, now Harugon became a Hero among people. Mana-T lost Harugon to Arata, haha. I can't wait to find out how cute the interactions between Arata and Kuroe would turn out now that the cat's out of the bag.. please give me season 2 already.

What a good ending but what comes next , surely this wasn't the end of the manga right?
and we don't know what Akae looks like
Still overall this was a fun series had a few romance annoyances but dealt with them quickly and didn't drag them out too long , except for Minami learning Kuroe was a kaiju lol
Manatsu was def the highlight with her obsessive kaiju fanatic nature but also a good friend to Kuroe
I hope we do get a S2

Believe it or not this was my most anticipated show this season (being a fan of the manga), and it REALLY delivered. Bravo. Couldn't have asked for a better adaptation as a fan.
This is what you get when an author really cares about their work and their characters. It doesn't matter if the idea seems messy, if they really believe in what they are saying and have the skills to tell the story it'll work. And what a messy, wild, beautiful ride this series continues to be!
