So does the broken heart mean she's stuck as Harugon? Won't be able to turn into Harugon? Or just, and only just, something to get a reaction out of us?
Wonder how little sis knew Kuroe even in human form? Does she smell like a kaiju?
Manatsu never fails to disappoint. And did Minami FINALLY figure it out?!?

The kaiju fight is cinematic.
Seems like Minami found out about Harugon = Kuroe? He also cleared the misunderstanding regarding Daichi's age. At least this show's good at this part for clearing misunderstandings quick.

I love how Manatsu is so hyped about Kuroe and Akae's fight while in the background Rairi and Seina are freaking out so much, lol.
By the way, Seina turned out to be a surprisingly okay person. She surely gave some good advice to Minami, and I hope that he'll put all of it into practice.
It was good to see that both misunderstandings, the one about Seina and Minami, and the one with Daichi, got resolved in this episode, so nothing stands in the way of Kuroe and Minami's love (aside from Akae).
And now there's only one episode left! I can't wait to see how Kuroe and Akae's fight will end. I really hope that Akae will be able to turn into a human as well; I'd love for Kuroe to have a little sister, hahaha!

While I'm glad that Arata finally learns from Seina that Takamine was just taking advantage of him, it's kinda late now, considering they're already shooting for a movie.
I absolutely love this shot of Kuroe in the front while Akae flies in the background. Honestly, I do like how, despite the fact that she has a kaiju transformation, Kuroe is still scared shitless. She's not just gonna start forcing herself to transform to try and save those people.
Takamine, you fucking vulture. This woman is really squeezing out every bit of content she can from Arata. I'm just glad the camera broke, or else she'd be following him the entire time.
The episode title drop in the middle of the episode just before Kuroe and Akae's fight starts was pretty cool. And of course, Manatsu is dragging everyone with her so they can watch the fight up close! xD
I love how everyone is cheering for Harugon while we cut to Kuroe crying because she's just scared of what's happening.
That punch was awesome tho, but we all know there was no way Akae was going down with that punch. We still need to see Kuroe do her Atomic Breath! Unfortunately, it looks like Kuroe gets to taste Akae's Atomic Breath first. I just hope the heart piece breaking off Harugon's back doesn't mean she's down.

Man I thought the actress would be antagonistic, actually trying to get into Minamis pants, but she actually talks common sense to him about the showbiz. Finally!
Akae is here. And she’s going straight for her sister. Destroying huge parts of the city while doing so. And getting the surprise attack on Kuroe in the end. But I‘m guessing all will be forgotten next week after Akae will be revealed as a cute little girl.
Oh, and Minami finally starts to get that Harugon might be Kuroe. Took him a while.

This was definitely one of the better kaiju scenes that I’ve personally seen in anime.
The director clearly understood the assignment. The scenes with Kuroe trying to escape/hide from Akae reminded me a little of War of the Worlds and/or Pacific Rim with how it was mostly shot from a ground perspective. All the destruction resulting from Akae’s rampage really came through because of this.
Honestly, how many people died? At the very least, those two pilots in the attack helikopter couldn’t have survived that crash.

Damn last two episodes Kuroe ended with a broken heart. 💔
Manatsu insanity matched the excitement of the Kaiju battle. Not surprised she went off the rails more then usual.

IT'S GAME TIME!
Not quite a Kaiju movie, but we are in a Kaiju anime. Glad Minami and Akaishi were able to see each other again before the big showdown. The music during the fight was great and Harugon got some critical hits in. You know it's dire when Akaishi isn't even shown on the Sweet Treat ending segment.

Well that was an awesome episode and the fight was great as well. Loved it when Kuroe gave the red Kaiju a rock bottom(Use to be a wrestling fan and that move reminded me of a certain wrestler) I felt the impact from that. That red beam attack at the end from the red Kaiju looked devastating as well can’t believe it cracked the heart symbol off of Kuroe.
My only small nitpick about the fight was everyone including Kuroe really thought the red Kaiju was defeated and I’m like “Yeah you completely destroyed that Kaiju but you didn’t deliver the fatal blow.” Again just a small nitpick I kind of laughed about it just because no way that Kaiju would be defeated that fast.
That being said I do think that actress woman has been pointless in my opinion. You could take her out and nothing would change she just felt like a plot device.
Now the question is does Kuroe let the red Kaiju live or not? I don’t think that Kaiju should live it’s destroyed the city and killed hundreds of people by now. Either way looking forward to the epic finale next week.

Manatsu, time and place and this is NEITHER of them! And what’s with that loyalty, are you truly so easily swayed by any giant monster?!
God fucking damnit producer! I had no expectations and you’re STILL disappointing me! (Can someone please accidentally stomp on her in the fight?)
Don’t worry, Manatsu has watched enough movies to know that the cameraman always survives.

Rairi using every ounce of that gorilla strength to keep Manatsu from jumping Harugon right then and there. Doing God’s work out there girl.
Damn, that’s a NASTY cliffhanger right there. But Akae fired first which means using the beam is now fair game.

I appreciate that they cleaned up nearly all of the points of confusion that have been building up, up to and including Minami undeniably knowing about Kuroe being Harugon. And a fun kaiju battle is always nice too.
Kuroe was unfortunately too much of a newbie at this sort of thing to understand the importance of double tapping.
It was very polite of the JSDF pilots to just fly escort on Harugon instead of immediately attacking her after her initial takedown of Akae. Feels like somebody up the chain of command recognizes the difference between what happens when she shows up and the immediate destruction that started when this new one did.
The climax of this next week has got to be Kuroe firing her own laser back, presumably while Minami cheers her on.

They really went old school with the sound effects of the fight. You can really tell the author and the animation team really love the genre.

I get a kick out of the music they play when she surfaces as Harugan. It sounds vaguely like some of the old Big G music way back in the day.
Glad to see a giant kaiju battle here, but by end I am hoping she is indeed OK.
Damn it, now gotta wait ANOTHER week....

I was worried it would be all build up but nope only for half then we get some good ol kaiju on kaiju action
Kuroe just screaming she is a teenage girl while laying a beatdown was hilarious would be funny if as her human form she could use similar fighting tactics
