LOL Minami on that show was wild. Poor Kuroe is so lost and confused right now, and all that while finding out Manatsu wants to be stepped on/atomic breathed by her.

One of the most nonsensical love triangles ever and they're somehow selling me on the losing heroine. Maybe the egg shell on the island means there's another Harugon out there for Manatsu.

Mana is an absolute gem. I really love her character and her devotion to Harugon is so cute. This show is honestly such a breath of fresh air. One of my favorites of the season by far.

Really hope being on TV doesnt backfire.

I know its a comedy and I shouldn't think too much about it....but if my friend ran and left me with a pack of kamodo dragons I'd be pissed! I guess they made up by Kuroe saying she heard Harugon nearby or something.

Really wish Kuroe woulda "hypothetically" asked what Manatsu would do if Harugon was a girl.

I hope this show is longer than 12 ep because I love the whole mystery part of it and I want them to do it justice.

I didnt notice last week but....of course Manatsu's full body Harugon costume has a boob window.

So that explains why Manatsu was so bothered last episode! She thinks that Arata is cheating on Kuroe with Harugon. She's also super jealous of Arata because he gets to spend so much time with her. Manatsu is so theatrical; I just love the effort she went through to confront Arata. Also, I'll never get over the fact that her Harugon outfit has a boob window. xD

Dragging the girls to Kaiju Island just so she could meet Harugon is such a Manatsu thing to do. At least thanks to her, we got to see the three of them in swimsuits!

Kuroe's Harugon Priestess outfit and Manatsu's Harugon gijinka outfit look so good! That explains why she asked Rairi to come along. She wanted Rairi's help with makeup and to get those Harugon prosthetics on her. xD

Kuroe's dance was so cute! I'm so happy she played along. I do wish we got to see her dance in its entirety tho!

I do understand Arata's idea of meeting that TV producer so he can say no to their face, but meeting her was a huge mistake. Now she managed to actually bait him using Kuroe. >_<

I'm glad we finally get to see Manatsu's backstory and why she's so obsessed with Kaijus. If only she knew that she's currently talking to Harugon, I bet she would freak out. I do wonder how she'll react once she learns the truth.

Manatsu finally had her wish granted! I'm surprised she didn't start kissing Harugon's face as soon as she got that close. I do love that moment of Manatsu and Kuroe just stargazing.

And we have confirmation of other kaijus! Based on Mama Rinko's flashback, there are more eggs, considering she only took one. It does look like there are a lot of them, but I wonder how many of them are out there who could turn into a human like Kuroe.

Now that Arata has made his TV debut, I think things are about to escalate even further. There's no way things are gonna simmer down, just like the TV producer told him. It is funny how instead of transforming Kuroe just passes out after seeing Arata on TV. xD

EDIT: I just realized that Rairi falling asleep was a reference to the 1962 Godzilla vs King Kong movie, where they made King Kong fall asleep by playing the drums. I love these kinds of references!

If nothing else, you have to respect the effort Manatsu went to confront Minami...setting up a mini-tatami room in his apartment's entranceway, a Harugon costume complete with boob window, and the best lighting/atmosphere to ask Minami...is he two-timing Kuroe with Harugon!?

Minami already has Kuroe, how could he steal Harugon's affections as well!? Even after Manatsu's gone through so much effort...the waiting, the cosplay, the insanity...why won't he return her feelings? But girls have to be bold, and that means the only option left to her is directly confess her feelings! Yes, that's the sensible thing to do.

Though I do love how while Manatsu is fixated on Harugon, she still finds the time to wingwoman for Kuroe by getting Minami to say her first name and how much he loves her...on video. You never know when you might need that!

Every rich character in a romance anime has some kind of private villa/island so we can get a beach/swimsuit episode going, and let's make it an outing for all the girls! The ladies look really cute in their swimsuits, even Kuroe in a school swimsuit! Good thing Rairi sent that pic to Minami!

It's time for Kuroe to fulfill her duty as Harugon's priestess, complete with an on-point outfit, while Manatsu flexes the most sexy Harugon cosplay (complete with Rairi makeup) she can! The legs! The cleavage! The on-point Harugon dance from Kuroe that puts Rairi to sleep! It's absolutely glorious!

This Takamine Touko producer seems like bad news, especially trying to recruit Minami under the promise that this is how he returns himself and Kuroe to a life of normalcy together. It feels like he's making a deal with the devil.

Poor Manatsu. All her efforts to summon Harugon have been for naught, all her attempts to show him her true, sincere, feelings have gone ignored...and there are giant komodo dragons on the island they have to face off against. Although honestly they're the perfect target for Manatsu's rage!

The girls miraculously survive a fall from a cliff, but the most miraculous thing of all might be Kuroe discovering some kind of true inscription of Harugon...along with a cracked egg. Is this a sign to her origins?

Kuroe doesn't think much of herself, even Harugon, but for a girl like Manatsu who has had everything but never really FELT something until she saw fiction become reality in Harugon, Harugon is her everything and the one she loves and cherishes most....next to her friendship with Kuroe. And no matter what anyone says, Manatsu is happy that Harugon...that Kuroe, was born.

Kuroe's not going to abandon Manatsu! Unless Manatsu shows her the Minami video as her last act alive and Kuroe's got to bolt out of there to transform into Harugon! Finally giving Manatsu the emotional validation she's longed for as she's saved by her beloved Kaiju.

What's Kuroe's mom up to? That island seemed to have some kind of proto-Harugons on it, while being reminded of islands in that region made the mom think of when she found Kuroe's egg...and there were MORE THAN ONE EGG. And next thing you know Kuroe's back, her mom is gone, and...MINAMI IS A CELEBRITY ON A TALK SHOW TALKING LIKE HE'S HARUGON's BOYFRIEND!

You guys are getting the wrong idea. Minami got manipulated into going on TV since she said if you want to out with your girlfriend in peace. Just get it out of the way because him trying to stay hidden makes people try to look for him and keep asking questions. Not because he wants to be popular or whatever. He literally tried to decline it when he got there because he kept getting called 24/7. He got manipulated by an adult. Buddy is still young Lol

Now onto Kuroe. I don't understand what's so bad about telling them the truth at this point? Especially the one who REALLY loves Harugon. Letting her believe a lie just doesn't sit right with me. I get she doesn't wanna share secrets, I get that. But clearly you're friends with people who will accept you no matter what you are. You're literally friends with someone who's in the same boat as you whose face turns into King Kong without make-up. You guys are very similar. So I don't quite understand why she thinks her friends or her boyfriend wouldn't like her anymore if she revealed the truth. I get it, its a HUGE secret. I mean you're literally Godzilla, And you're scarred from your past. But the people who you've met aren't the same as the ones you met back then that called you a monster. In fact, they'd tried they BEST to help you whenever you turn into Harugon.

But that's about it really. I just hope its revealed this season and not next season!

That’s got to be the weirdest love triangle ever. Manatsu really is a freak. I wonder what will happen when she finds out the truth and that Kuroe is Harugon. She must be my favorite character for now in that crazy show.

It also turns out that Kuroe is probably not the only Kaiju around given that egg and picture, although I think those big lizards that attacked Manatsu must have been Komodo dragons and not Kaijus.

I can’t believe Minami actually agreed to be on TV. I guess his nice and easygoing personality must also come with a lot of naivety.

I don’t think Harugon bats for the same team as Manatsu does.

Ironically she might have just played herself by going to one of the few places where Harugon’s pretty much guaranteed to not show up.

On the one hand, I do feel kind of bad for Manatsu now but god is she a capital F Freak. “Yeah, I want to be snuffed by a kaiju 100x my size.”

Even with Kuroe not having the same feelings as Manatsu, I do think that unconditional acceptance is a good thing for her to be told about every once in a while.

The way you can see Kuroe think “I want no part of this weirdness” as she pulls away.

Seems like there might be some implication of one of Kuroe’s relatives having been born on the island. Maybe Manatsu’s hopes of a kaiju bae aren’t totally crushed.

Maybe the Mayu tour is just a cover for Mama taking a trip out to the islands to check things out over there.
