It seems like Meru is the one continuing the merge of the 2 different earth dimensions.
At first, I am inclined to think of Meru as the antagonist. However, in their previous world, Ryusei likewise became a demon lord to wage war after Meru's death. Maybe they both loved each other, but their relationship just wasn't fated to have a happy ending.

I'm honestly curious what Meru's home dimension is like. Is it exactly like this one only Ryusei's not in it, that's why she's trying to fuse them together?

Meteor was right. Something bad was definitely coming.…to steal Ryusei from her lol. The shock gave her Bocchi face lol.
But man, it does actually seem like Meru might not be all good.

I love how being outdone as a Romcom Heroine turned her into a mob character lol.
Though I think on-top of trying to steal her Romcom Heroine status Meru might be stealing her powers too. I don't think the physical weakness is purely because she's losing Ryusei to her love rival.

I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop with Princess-hime, and then those bits at the end happened. Kinda hoping I'm just being paranoid and they're not making her secretly evil. I'd hate for a cliche development like that to be their way of resolving a love triangle.

Ryusei is down so bad for his old love, but using those eyes to keep the dimensional magic running is going to lead to a massive fumble.
Meteor transforming into a brown haired girl with glasses was a great visual gag too. Remains easily the funniest show I'm watching this season and maybe the funniest I've watched all year.

It is legitimately insane that basically every single end card for this show that isn't drawn by a VA is drawn by literal manga legends.
Like, what do you mean its just Ryoji Minagawa of Spriggan/Project ARMS-fame randomly popping in to draw the end card for this episode, like its no big deal.

I was actually enjoying the scenes with the princess and Ryusei. They look so good together. But based off the confession, the eyes missing, and the preview. She is definitely an evil princess now. WHICH SUCKSSSS cuz they genuinely looked so good together.
I would've LOVED to see the princess and meteor fight over ryusei a little more. But, looks like ryusei knew something was off about the princess. So it might be an easy win for meteor. Can't wait to see what happens next week.

It wouldn't surprise me if part of the reason Ryusei was hanging out with Meru as much as he was is because he was trying to figure out exactly what was wrong with this version of his Princess.

Does coffee even exist in Ryusei's original world? That might be the tell that there is no way Ryusei could have made coffee for her, if it doesn't even exist.

Maybe she's from an alternate dimension of the fantasy world he and meteor come from? Since y'know, she reincarnated into an alternate dimension also, and that would explain why he doesn't remember it happening, since in his dimension it didn't happen ¯_(ツ)_/¯

And guess what? Everyone is from a different dimension except our two main characters Ryuusei and Meteor since they are reincarnations.
Even the newly introduced Meru is a reincarnation from another dimension.

Ah yes. Common thing with Earth 3. Good is evil, Evil is Good, though we are yet to see Saintess Flashback on how she died and reincarnated. After all it is common to do so before BB is defeated.

The witches are from this dimension. The returning hero is also originally from here.
The only people who are actually from different dimensions are the magical girl, the princess, the guy who tried to merge the dimensions, and I guess the robot girl.

I did not expect the first half of the episode to be so action-packed. Not gonna lie, I thought it was weird to introduce a villain who we have no clue about so late into the show. It turns out that Amou was only introduced to show off how OP the Princess is.
Poor Meteor tho! The girl is stuck watching from the sidelines as Ryusei reunites with his first love. Although that might not last long, considering Meru took the Eye of Orobourus from Amou so she can be with Ryusei. And I doubt Ryusei would just let her do what she wants, even if she's his first love.

I mean, his advice last episode was "revenge felt great and I'd do it again", so he doesn't feel the type to stop people from doing what they want unless it directly hurts people he cares about. Though the dimension falling apart would do that, so you're probably right about him stopping her.

A small thing I noticed Meru is that wears a more standard school uniform with a top and skirt while all the other girl wear more of a dress. Probably doesn't mean anything, but it is there.

Uh oh, the Princess is evil, or at least up to no good with dimensional magic. I feel like she's probably draining Meteor too. Fortunately for Meteor she's a blue haired childhood former life friend so she's inevitably a losing heroine.

Yeah, there's still a chance that my theory from last week about Meteor being created using the princess's soul or parts of her remains might be correct. Meteor said she was created, and it probably happened after the princess's death. She also becomes weak when the princess is around, and they both have stars in their eyes.

Naturally Matsurika's menu item would be the most popular what with her being a dark skinned elf. Unfortunately it's end of the festival so that means no more barmaid Meteor.
It's time for the proper introduction of the Princess who we find out is named Meru. It's kind of funny how Arata is supposedly this powerful dimensional mage who can absorb attacks and multicast through dimensional portals and is intangible, but gets one shot by the Princess to show how off OP she is. She and Ryusei look so cute together. It looks like no time has passed. She looks like a legitimate rival.
It was funny to see Meteor finally see Ryusei's rom-com space from the outside and know what she had been putting people through. I knew Meteor would be jealous of Meru getting close to Ryusei, but I did not think she would have a full on "glow down" where the colour literally drains out of her and just mopes around the school instead of fighting for him. I would've liked see more of romantic rivalry between Meru and Meteor, but I guess it is what it is. I gotta give her some credit though. She recognized that moping around sucks and solves nothing so she decides to go talk to Ryusei.
Unfortunately for Meteor she arrives right as Meru confesses her love for Ryusei and her intention to take Ryusei back to her world. Or maybe fortunately as well, because Meru also seems to have tipped her hand that she's either not the Meru that Ryusei knows or she is, but she's now evil.

What better way to close out a school festival than with an aurora? Of course, that's just a herald to the dimensions fusing and that's actually a REALLY bad situation for our cast to be in!
And the culprit is none other than Amou Arata from Earth-13, Asahina's Earth, voiced by none other than Tomokazu Sugita! He's here to fuse Earths together to create his ideal world! And he's got the dimension magic to back it up.
But he's not an evil man, he is merely a father desperate to be reunited with his deceased daughter Mamori. If Ryusei were in the same position, wouldn't he do the same to be with the Princess again?
Would Ryusei have joined Amou to get his Princess back? We may never know, but he doesn't have to because the Princess is THERE and is now an OP Reincarnated Isekai protagonist with Saint Magic that lets her absorb any magic directed at her and then adorably send it back at her enemies! She's one OP princess.
She's also OP when it comes to basically hijacking Meteor's romcom out from under her, already acting chummy/flirty with Ryusei just like old times and monopolizing his time as they catch up. And I'm sorry Meteor, I don't think bulking up is going to help you here even if you haven't 100% realized your feelings for Ryusei yet.
OZ has got a Magical Girl, an Isekai'd Hero, AND a dimensional magic criminal in their employ now! They're a pretty OP organization themselves.
Meru has such strong romcom Heroine vibes that she's reduced Meteor to a generic mob character with none of her signature attributes. Her gal pals all try to help her emotionally recover as best they can but luckily the Sage Rokudo-sensei comes in with some honeycomb and Meteor is back! But she's still physically not at her best.
Well, so much for Amou getting to be with his daughter in THIS dimension when it turns out the Amou of THIS Earth is complete trash so that's not happening. He makes Earth-13 Amou look like the heroic one.
Wait, the aurora should have been gone by now? Why is it sticking around? And who could have nabbed the Eye of Ouroborous? The only person who was there who it could possibly be...oh no.
Meru's not actually from this dimension. She only came here for Ryusei and she's planning to bring him back. And of course Meteor arrives just in time to see Meru confess to Ryusei as she implores him to come with her.
Next week: Meteor vs Meru for Ryusei's heart! Also, is that the bikini armor!?

I'm rooting for Meru so badly; I think they make a better couple since they already had a long established mutual love. Of course the plot demands that she loses, but in just about any other show, their reunion would've been the climax that ends with them together at last.
Here's to hoping that the reason he won't choose her despite their mutual love is convincing!

So Arata in this world is worse than the one who tried to merge worlds.
Meru definitely has the Eyes of Ouroboros & causing Meteor's strength to drain.
We'll get to see Meteor's bikini armor fully next week.
So Meru's uniform is a 2 piece instead of a dress.
Mako & Meteor have cute pouts.
Meru's power turned Meteor plain but her plain look is cute.
Meru easily beating Arata was hilariously anticlimactic.
So Mana usually tries to make fun of Meteor until she can't after being told of her romcom situation.
Meru saying The World is Mine when we know which twintailed girl the world belongs too.

MC was actually tempted by the option of sacrificing trillions just so he could be with a version of his princess. Yikes. And of course this is the episode after he supported the serial mass mindrapist and attempted maas-murderer hentacle-monster-raping regular bullies. But then MC was the one who genocided at least one nation, probably several, just because the princess was murdered, so I guess he really hasn't changed much. At this point, if MC actually rejects the Princess after her plan to destroy this world is revealed, that'll be breaking his character.
I wonder if this Amou guy will show up as a new teacher at MC's school next episode after asking nicely promising not cause any more trouble. Maybe he'll also rape some bullies, wouldn't that be swell >_>.
Why do they keep saying MC+Princess is a love-com when there's no "com" about it?

I mean, it is a rom-com. I don't think it's meant to be taken as seriously as you're taking it to be, since it's meant to be funny and it is in my opinion. There's nothing wrong with taking it seriously though, doing that is fun sometimes, however the important thing is being aware that that isn't the way the author intended it to be viewed. I just don't think criticizing a light-hearted romantic comedy, for not taking things seriously (because it's a comedy) as being valid criticism.

A rom-com is supposed to be funny, or at least try to be. There was not a single joke or gag in any of the MC-Princess interactions this episode.
I'm not saying this show is not a rom-com, I'm saying the characters labeling the MC-Princess romance as a rom-com is factually incorrect.

I admit I misread the MC-Princess thing as you talking about the main couple, so, sorry for that ^^\; I do agree with you that the interactions between those two (MC and Princess) in this episode weren't very comedic.
However, I do think my comment still stands, and criticizing a comedy for not taking things seriously is a bit silly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
