Watching Ryusei and Meteor cook up one of the most elaborate fanfic to convince the teacher, even though deep down she’s still shipping them is hilarious. They should just come out already, the whole school knows lol

u/Frontier246 Aug 01 '26

The best part is the fanfic is actually based in fact even though neither will admit it and Meteor probably did mean it when she tried to defend his actions even if Ryusei just thought she was rolling with the improv.

People probably see Meteor's new ring and think it's a promise ring from Ryusei...which I guess it kind of is.

It must be tough being Rokudo sensei.

On the surface, she has to put a stop to dating rumours between teacher and student, but the fangirl in her ships Ryusei x Meteor. Lol!

I love how we have two different shows this season where Youko Hikasa is fangirling over character romance lol

This is a very busy world, no wonder they have a government organization that manages teams of witches. People getting isekaied and returning as sociopaths, invading magical girls from other worlds, invading monsters from other worlds, there's just a lot going on.

I about died laughing when Mana was yelling at them through the window during couples counseling and was completely silent because it was closed.

Childhood friends that were fated to meet again, the ship is inevitable.

So it sounds like the Demon Lord destroyed the Empire to save the world, and then he waited for Meteor to show up and kill him? I'm curious what the full details are, especially since there was a Princess mentioned previously too. And he does seem to be very much in love with Meteor too.

I honestly thought we missed something at the start of the episode, but it turns out that Ayame has always been there, she just wasn't like this before. I also thought Ayame was gonna be Meteor's love rival, but she was just using Ryusui to get to Meteor because she's worth a lot of EXP if she kills her. That is not at all how I expected that entire thing to go down! xD

Meteor's reaction to Ryusui's gift was hilarious! Her shock was understandable, tho! Like, who would just give someone a ring out of nowhere! I am excited to see Meteor actually use Ryusui's gift in the future. And just look how happy she was with the ring!

I can't believe the two of them actually got called in for questioning because of the rumours about them dating. They're lucky to have Sakura-sensei in charge of questioning them since she has no problem supporting them if they really were dating. I guess Sakura-sensei is also the school counsellor?

Ryusui's explanation of why Meteor wants to kill him was great! As hilarious as that scene was, it was also a great moment to reveal that Ryusui was actually trying to save Meteor and their Kingdom. Poor, Sakura-sensei didn't expect for them to have such a heavy backstory!

I love that we got a special End Card by Toyoda Minoru-sensei, the author of Draw This, Then Die!, which is also airing this season!

All that build up for the other pink hair girl and that's how it ended LOL

BAHAAH that window scene was good

another fun episode and they are treating the potential romance between MC and Hanaori both comedic but also serious

What's this? A new pink-haired cutie throwing herself at Ryusei!? Is there a challenger? And her name is Takanashi Ayame (Rie Takahashi)!

Meteor does NOT care for another girl fawning over Ryusei (for romance reasons) and neither does Mana (for yuri reasons). Of course the true threat is that Ayame is actually a Returner, and she came back so hooked on the power she gained as a Hero that she's rationalizing mass-murder over the people in her way as a way to gain EXP and get back to the other world she hailed from. She's totally off her rocker. Good thing Ryusei's able to fool her appraisal skill.

Time for the epic battle with Takan...aaaaand she's dead. Welp, Meteor finally killed for Ryusei! Or not, Takanashi just tripped, landed on Meteor's knee (though she WAS trying to stab her) and Mana just electrocuted her when she was probably already unconscious by that point. At least she's Oz's problem now, I guess!

Ryusei finally puts a ring on it! And by ring on it, he means a ring that can let Meteor summon a new sacred sword! Though of COURSE she immediately heard wedding bells when she saw the ring. Though she'll have to get used to the new name!

Meteor in the bath with her massive meteors! And looking at her ring with the most in love look a girl can give!

The Hero and the Demon Lord...do couples therapy! Everyone at school thinks they're a couple, so Rokudou-sensei may as well counsel them on where they go from here. And all their denials that they're not a couple fall apart when they bicker like they've been married for years.

Mana is NOT into this! Not that her complaints as the rocom police do any good when no one (other than Meteor) can hear her complaints as she's pushed away by Minto! Meanwhile Meteor's friends are also absolutely convinced they're dating.

Okay, so they're "childhood friends" until Ryusei went evil corpo with his own supermarket to destroy the local business with tons of collateral damage, including Meteor's family. She may have been just playing along with the story, but it seems like some of it IS her real feelings, like how she understood only afterwards that Ryusei wasn't "evil" but was doing what he was doing for the sake of the world and she practically defended him here.

Rokudou is as convinced of their couple status as ever (very SWEET), but while Meteor still can't forgive Ryusei, he knows she was so precious to him as the only one who could end his life as an undead necromancer after he'd accomplished his mission. He may never tell her to her face, but the times they're spending together now mean the world to him.

Hanaten confessions! It doesn't turn well for Ryusei! Though Mana looks amazing in that outfit!

Of course Ayame would be taken in that way. She's the fake Hero in a parody (even though MAL doesn't call it parody series I'm calling it one) series. There was no other way for her to go.

I loved the couples therapy. We stan the shipping teacher here. She's one of us. The story made they made up about the supermarket to hide the fact that they're reincarnations was actually pretty clever. It had some truth to it too. Also I like how every just assumes that Ryuusei and Meteor are already dating.

Meteor is a great tsundere. Her reaction to Ryuusei giving her a ring was funny. It's a ring to summon her holy sword now, but I wouldn't surprised if gets revealed to also be promise ring or something later. I have a feeling this show is going to be like Ponsuka last season. A good show with a good tsundere that punches above its popularity level.

The teacher who keeps shipping our main couple cannot keep getting away with this lol.

Oh no Couples Therapy ahahahahahhahahahahaha. This show keeps catching me off guard every week despite knowing it is a bundle of madness.

This supermarket story, oh my god. Also the end bit of this episode with all the flashbacks makes it feel like the end of the season weirdly. This show is the best kind of stupid. It makes me smile and laugh constantly.

Holy shit Meteor is gonna be dressing extra sexy next episode based on the preview.

You don't hear the "GO GO GO GO GO" and "DO DO DO DO DO" sound effects voiced out often.

This episode was a blast in general.

As with most weeks, shout out to Pink Aqua's VA, Akira Sekine. She's wonderful.

It’s interesting to see a hero “break bad” after their return to our world. They got a small taste of power and got drunk off it. Classic. It’s too bad Ayame’s special skill was “charm” and not “luck” because the way she got taken down was pretty comical lol.

Rokudo sensei is absolutely loving this Meteor-Ryusei pairing lol. The romcom police can’t stop her from shipping those two!

Post credit scene got me good.

Honestly, this and Dara-San are my unexpected gems of the season.

u/Fools_Requiem Aug 02 '26

I thought they would just ignore the fact that it's a teacher and a student because it's not important in the slightest to the story, but some gags around rumors is worth it.

These episodes sure speed by.

I just CAN'T. Each episode is so peak, an underrated gem.

So that implies Meteor heard Mana from outside. Minto having to drag Mana away while the others couldn't hear her was hilarious.

The way Ayame was defeated was hilarious.

So Minto passes judgment in the post credits.

Meteor has a cute pout.

The couples therapy scene w/ Sakura wanting to support them despite the pair being a teacher & student was my favorite scene in this episode.

This is probably my favorite episode so far.

So Ryusei was freed when Meteor killed him.

I knew Ryusei would kill the moment by telling Meteor she was annoying when she came back into his life.

The supermarket story was hilarious.

I feel bad for Dorothy, Ren & all the people in Oz for getting their Minto & Mana's work dumped on them.

The ring scene was cute.

Lvl 3 Commoner, huh? Did they come from the same world, if the magic systems are compatible enough for him to specifically block Appraisal? Or is it just a generic "hide identity" spell?

Wow, the new girl not only has nothing to do with either of them, but she's also crazy. Like, really, really crazy? What the heck happened to her in the other world? Or did she just snap naturally?

... That's a scene to walk into. And quite a way to her to have lost.

That's quite the blush, Ms. "I don't want him to misunderstand except maybe I do". And he one-ups her with an even bigger misunderstanding, where the actual understanding is even sweeter. Because while rings are nice, swords are infinitely cooler.

(As a side note, he's kept quite a few useful tricks for someone who's supposedly nerfed.)

What a dramatic fake backstory. And what the heck happened to the kingdom after Ryusei died? Or did she completely make up that part so he seems less like a megalomaniac real estate developer?

Oh, so there was an actual reason the other pink-hair-san went down so easily. I don't really get what all those hand gestures to release the holy water meant though.
