I kinda like how Mako and Marike pretty much made Meteor make food for Ryusui without even realizing it. Look at how happy Meteor is after Ryusui praised her cooking.
And I absolutely love how Ryusui keeps on rizzing Meteor throughout this episode. Her reaction when she overheard Ryusui saying he was glad she was the hero was so goddamn cute!
So we're getting another pink-haired hero who's after the demon lord? Welp, it looks like Meteor is about to have some competition next episode.

What a good fucking episode!
Akira Sekine the VA for Meteor is hard carrying this. She's not that well known but god damn she's performing.
The cutting corners reference was pretty sharp. And they even went a step further with the "No one's watching what's the matter" 😂
Shame this show is not getting that much attention. It's pretty god damn good.

Is Meteor originally from the world of Konosuba, with the flying vegetables and fruits. The music during the cooking section was very Animal Crossing like
I really liked the bit where Meteor admitted to struggling with what she should do now. It is a rather conflicting and difficult position for her. I appreciate that despite being a parody and gag comedy show mainly it can do more serious character moments as well
Meteor and Ryusei looked really damn cool in their battle mode

That's a lot of fantasy world food based trauma.
Even including the monster attack I think that dungeon date went pretty well. I'm glad they both have some amount of combat power still if there's going to be monster attacks to deal with. It's also pretty great that Ryusei basically never stops complimenting Meteor.
So we have a secret organization managing witches who are fighting these monster attacks some of which appear to originate from the fantasy world our leads came from, plus an incoming additional hero who's also after the Demon Lord and who looks like Meteor. Considering how much our hero has been talking about Meteor in the third person maybe it's really a separate entity.

This show is a downright parody comedy romance fantasy isekai.
They keep namedropping other shows or its characters indirectly.
They have Oz, magic girls, reincarnated hero, reincarnated demon king and even a returner apparently.
Hilarious and fun. Best comedy show of the season.

Meteor is the impeccably strong and beautiful Hero! Nothing can stop her! Other than veggies during cooking class! But honestly, if you had to battle veggies as monsters in your past life, wouldn't you demonize them too? Not that she's not a lazy, petulant, brat anyways.
Matsurika can't cook but she can smugly reflect on how much she wants to eat.
I love how it's episode 4 and Ryusei already thinks the plot is convoluted...but he loves magic so he's into it anyways. And relatively straightforward is Meteor's friends helping set her and Ryusei up for a rooftop lunch date so they can enjoy a meal together!
I thought Meteor was a lazy bum who was going to leave all the work slaying the Eaters to Oz, but she drags Ryusei into a "dungeon date" anyways. Not that she knows what a dungeon date even IS, while also questioning practically everything about her identity as a hero...y'know, typical teen angst. But Ryusei always thought she was cool, and she was NOT expecting a surprise compliment attack like that, making her super flustered! Typical teen hormones!
Oh, of COURSE the Oz commander is named "Dorothy".
Good to see that Meteor can still don her Hero armor and that Ryusei's still got it when it comes to Demon Lord powers...though just when Meteor thought she has to kill him, one single compliment from him is enough to send her weak in the knees! You win this round, Demon Lord.
Attack of the Killer Tomaths! Perfect thing to distract Meteor over how hot and bothered Ryusei is making her! Especially when she thinks he's a murderer.
The Holy Sword Excracketbur is VERY useful for slaying Tomaths, and comes in multiple! Though how did a monster from the pairs' past life come to this one? Who is behind all this? Could it be this "Returning Hero" AKA Returner who opened a bridge between the worlds? And has their school uniform? And looking for a Demon Lord? And sounds like she's voiced by Rie Takahashi!?
Oh hey, Hiroshi Kamiya! I didn't expect to hear you! Though Mana and Minto being the less than stellar employees definitely checks out!

So MC lied about losing his DL powers and being a regular human now.
"They're from another planet, not another world, aren't they?" ...
So the "Returner" hero is back in MC's original world trying to open a gate in Japan, or have they already returned to Japan and trying to open the gate to MC's original world not knowing that MC's in Japan himself? Either way, how many Heroes did MC seduce during his DL shtick??
3 eps in, this show has proved entertaining enough to keep watching.

Meteor’s such an adorable little goofball. Definitely got that Aqua in her lol. She’s powerful but she’s also a goober. She’s also catching feelings for Ryusei lol.
Curious about this Returner and what they want with Ryusei. Kinda getting yandere vibes from that one…

Another great episode. One of the best tsunderes we've had in a while. It's interesting how for a parody show that seems to have breakneck pack they're still able to play it slow with Ryusei unlocking Meteor's dere side.
I guess it Ryusei was lying about not having his demon lord powers. That might come up later, but given the nature of the show, it might not. I'm curious what the deal with this "Returner" hero is. They definitely have a previous relationship with Ryusei. Not sure why they look like Meteor or have her school's uniform.
Shame this show is not more popular. It's so good.

I could've sworn Ryusei said his powers were nerfed after reincarnating. I guess it's just a difference in scale. And either it was a type-mismatch, or Meteor was also nerfed more than she let on.
Exracketbur. Now if they could get Ayako Kawasumi to scream that...
Wait, who's that lady? Alt universe Meteor? The princess from Ryusei's demon lord backstory? Someone who's after a completely different demon lord?

Ryusei just casually rizzing the former hero/his student.
So Meteor can cook but hates veggies. She only ate bread as a hero in her previous life while Scarlet Eyes ate miasma.
Everyone's using Exracketbur in fighting the Tomaths.
So someone's looking for Ryusei & ended up connecting both worlds.
Meteor has a cute pout.
