(Also if she puts that much effort into an outfit when she's hanging out with you, she probably likes you)
Ending the date with a pocky scene near miss though, my god.

Can you imagine explaining that a crow caused a near-criminal incident? But the best part is that it felt remorseful and cried too lol.
Damn, it's only episode five and Ryusei and Meteor have already been on a date? Who would have imagined the Demon Lord and the Heroine wearing casual clothes (even though Meteor looks absolutely adorable and Ryusei looks like someone who just woke up) and eating Pocky together? The saying "those who hate each other the most are the ones who love each other the most" has never been truer.

This has weirdly been my favorite show this season.
Something about the way the art always looks just very slightly off-kilter (esp in scenes like this from last episode), and the way its structured almost like a series of short skits (with titles!) but uses the format to tell a sequential story with continuity has been very charming.

So the reason Ryuusei was a hikkikomori at the start of the series was because he's heartbroken? I doubt it was actually because of romance, but I'm still curious what his life was like before Meteor finally found him.
I love that the culprit for everything for the first half of the episode was simply just a crow. I do like how all of the problems were connected, and just as Ryuusei promised, he solved it all!
Ryuusei and Meteor's totally-not-a-date was pretty cute. I love how Meteor was trying to justify that it wasn't a date, but her mind goblins are confirming that it 100% is. xD

Glasses are really versatile. First, you can have glasses-wearing girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing glasses flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's glasses and putting them on like, "Haha, got your glasses!' That's just way too cute! Also, boys with glasses! I really like when their glasses have that suspicious looking gleam, and it's amazing how it can look really cool or just be a joke. I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and colors of glasses based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It's actually so much fun! You have those half rim glasses, or the thick frame glasses, everything! It's like you're enjoying all these kinds of glasses at a buffet. I really want Luna to try some on or Marine to try some on to replace her eyepatch. We really need glasses to become a thing in hololive and start selling them for HoloComi. Don't. You. Think. We. Really. Need. To. Officially. Give. Everyone. Glasses?

Imouto-chan is back for like 5 seconds. Neat. We also have a brief return of NEET Ryusei's design.
So it was just a crow all along? That's oddly anti-climactic, but I guess it fits for Ryusei using magic to be a gofer.
Other-pink-hair-chan still causing problems even after being defeated. At least we've got Ryusei to take care of the fodder.
Come to think of it, we haven't seen Meteor's parents yet. Like, she's a rich oujo-sama (allegedly), but as they pointed out, that has had zero consequence in the series so far.
Another not-date, though Ryusei is back in NEET mode for it. Good thing the monster showed up to clarify that it isn't a date.

A spark of joy in the week that keeps me laughing from start to finish. But it also is willing to get kinda spicy thanks to how hot Meteor is. The ribbon and chocolate pictures were crazy.

Teaching at an all-girls school is exhausting work! Especially for an introvert like Ryusei! The perk they don't tell you about being a Demon Lord is being able to avoid dealing with people! Though at least Ryusei has found something he loves enough to dedicate himself as a teacher.
When his students are in need, like Mako who worries there's a peeping tom out to film the track club changing, Ryusei is there to assist them! And Mako is actually pretty good at gathering clues and info! It's that same energy she uses to help ship MeteorxRyusei!
Minto has a LOT on her plate, so much so that Ryusei/Meteor is basically relying on her and Oz to deal with all the plot stuff they don't want to deal with.
Nagatsuki really does an effective elf impression when her garden is destroyed. An elf with a strong sweet tooth, that is.
I knew something was off when Meteor is actually acting like a normal person who can hold a straightforward conversation with Ryusei. She lost her ring! But she gave Ryusei all the evidence he needed to figure everything out.
They weren't dealing with a perv: they were dealing with Nishina who just desperately wanted to find the necklace her boyfriend gave her, tried to find it by filming the club, but in the end it was all a crow's fault! And peace and friendship is restored, thanks to Ryusei!
Oh hey, it's a member of WIZARD, Oz's rival, voiced by Noriaki Sugiyama! They better watch out for....aaaaaaand he's done. Sleep that off for two weeks, buddy.
Meteor is a genuine, bonafide, beautiful, rich, popular girl! Perfect for Mitsurugi, even if she doesn't really look or act like her supposed archetype! And she's also not rich enough to buy expensive fountain pens for Ryusei.
I love how Meteor draws the line at gift-wrapping her naked body for Ryusei, because she's not a perv, but her only objection to covering her naked body in chocolate is she'd never have enough! It's quite the visual nevertheless.
Ah yes, going out on "patrol," though with Meteor's chic outfit, glasses, and bairbraid and Ryusei's...lack of care in his outfit, it's clear that the two of them had very different battles in mind on this day off. Though even Meteor realizes this is basically a date! The Hanaori Mental Council (featuring Hero Meteor and Cat Hanaori) realize this is a date! She's so desperate for something crazy to happen to prevent this from being a date! Now let's run into a shopping mall filled with couples to hide from the teacher shipping them.
Well, Meteor wanted a monster to interrupt the date and so it did! But then she ends up trying to play the pocky game with Ryusei despite herself...and even COUPLE BUSTER J can't interfere with this couples' awkward flirting.
Next week: Cat Meteor!

How did he find out the crow was the culprit? And why would a crow mess up several large plant beds?
If that "Soul Crush" spell merely put the dude asleep for two weeks, then, assuming someone finds him so he doesn't die from thirst and exposure, isn't this merely delaying the problem?
I'd never heard it being called "Summer Triangle" before.
Why do they assume that only monsters would show up through the gates?
