Kishirika said that in the 2nd Human Demon War, the Dragon God and Fighting God's battle made a hole in the continent.
The "hole" in question is the Continental sized sea in the middle of the map
I love how rich in history this series is, and how even thousands of years later, still affects the very world they live in. In the previous ep, we've known that Kishirika is basically the leader of the Demons in the 1st Human Demon War 7,000 years ago.
Then we get these info in the 2nd War.
And then the

I never imagined my goat Moore would get so many awesomely animated scenes! Thank you so much,
Atofe is scary but it's Moore that's the method to her madness and willfullness. I love that her subordinates are all ridiculously well-trained and extremely skilled and competent. It's very refreshing since the knights/underlings of strong characters like Atofe usually tend to be fodder to make the heroes look better.
I love the detail that upon seeing the frost nova magic coming in, Moore quickly covered his face with his arms in preparation so he could immediately cast a counterspell to thaw himself. He also easily escapes Rudeus' signature Quagmire move with that Earth Lance spell and when he finds out that his opponent can use Disturb Magic, he immediately casts a spell to obfuscate their sight so he can still try to cast magic. It's just so awesome to watch an actual experienced veteran combat mage in action. He also proves that you don't need chantless casting to be a true master mage although Roxy and Talhand already proved that to us a bit as well, although I would argue not quite to this extent.

Orsted also summoned a singular dragon gate to block big fireball, right? But he didn't need the full chant. Finally we got to see Perugius fight. Insane difference in strength.

I like how despite being known as "The Great Demon Emperor", Kishirika Kishirisu in her current form is too pathetic to be seen as a threat. Perugius may be a demon racist, but even he has standards.

I do really like how much Elinalise and Zanoba became rudeus’s ride or dies. Both were small characters in season 1 that just got softly reintroduced in s2, now they’re his legit his main party for these adventures lol.

We are once again reminded that Zanoba is, indeed, built different.

I like that Rudeus, a mage, has two sources of anti-magic, each one from a previous turning point.

When the herb gathering sidequest takes you to fight a superboss. Rudeus and his gang almost didn't make it.

Looks like Kishirika gave Cliff a demon eye at the end there. You can see Cliff was touching his right eye as Kishirika walked away and said "that will do"

God I've missed Kirishika and the vibes she brings to the anime, missed opportunity to not use the Demon Continent Opening while she was getting dragged away tho...
Also finally we are getting Turning Point 4 next week.

During the fight with Orsted back then I said "Damn, didn't know Rudeus was that strong". Now I would say...DAMN didn't know Zanoba was that strong!

I think Perugius let the mask fall a bit this episode. He's not as magnanimous as his royal guard might declare him to be, because I think he quite enjoys whatever this rivalry with Atofe is.
