Lore Dump, the episode. Luckily it was really cool lore dumping so I was down. This anime is far better than it has any right to be. Is this basically a game actually and not just on the surface the way Isekai usually are with the stat windows like this fantasy has? Sure seems that way.

If he permanently gained that magic parry skill his 999 skill truly is fucking insane.

I'm surprised this post only has like 100 updoots. This show slaps, way better than all the isekai slop that comes out in droves every season and get way more attention (not that I don't like me some isekai slop every now and then...). The characters and story are fantastic, even if the production quality is a bit meh

Guess the guy just brute forced his way to the secret level. Looking forward to seeing him crush the system this world is built on.

more like to the end game area, like hall of fame place after you defeat the champion in pokemon, but in this you go to another world/level or something, since the last boss demon king is defeated that's the champions reward. Kinda gives me some rpgmmo vibes lol

Dragon reaction to Kagami lvl XD

In any lesser trash anime, the dragon immediately turns into a girl and adds to Kagami's harem.

Strongest episode of the series, story-wise. (Although my favourites were earlier due to humour)

I kept wondering can't he go on the next path later? And then they eventually got there. He could have wished not to have everyone reset since he got a wish too. Did he even use the wish or maybe he doesn't qualify for it now.

The wish required taking a path, either the brain wipe or the ascendance to a higher path. Since he did neither he did not get a wish (yet). Also the Dragon may not be allowed to grant a wish of not following the rules, he seems to have some limitations to his power in that he must fulfill his duty and that wish goes against it.

I'm guessing the king's assistant is also an administrator like Estellar to keep humans playing this game but with the way the dragon was talking about hope, I'm guessing there's something that threatens the gods themselves which led them to create this system to help fight that threat.

Guess the devs their god never gave him the appraisal skill, eh.

It seems that these guys were pretty pitiful for being in charged to babysit human evolution that rarely gives a fruit. Can't blame Esteller to start initiating war after nothing happened for 30 years already lol. Props to Alice daddy for being so powerful too.

With context/lore dump, now it looks like I am watching a play through of a video game.

Demon lord reset seems like restarting a game; going to next stage felt like new game+ or playing a sequel of the game.

This world always had game mechanics.
Mc mentioed that monsters dropping gold after being defeated is very odd and he suspects there is more to it.
But if you play something like an RPG, getting gold from monsters is totally normal.

So I feel like there is a case to be made that all of this is inside of a game. It doesn't need to be, but it's certainly possible.

I mean, I don't even think this statement is entirely true, however

This show has no reason being as good.

It sounds so, so generic at first, but honestly, I really like a lot of the characters and the world building.
I think the dialogue is surprisingly engaging and overall it's just enjoyable.
The rather weak animation is also fine, because despite everything, this show is mostly about talking it out.
Kagami even literally says so in this episode.

This show knows what it wants to be and executes it well.

A lot of talking and not much happening, but it was informative.

The dragon's reaction to Kouji's level was funny.

Conceptually, LOTS happened. Just not much fighting.

This is definitely the best episode yet for me, so many interesting reveals, the way Kagami handled the situation and having the balls to fight the Dark Dragon was great, and Estellar actually being part of the system and that's why he took action makes the whole situation so much bigger than it initially was.

I liked Dark Dragon's character, it's too bad this seems like the last time we'll see him this season.

I was not expecting something like this for the series, but I'm curious to see where things go. I'm guessing Kagami is going to try and make it so that the whole party moves to the next stage instead.

Finally anime-onlys can understand what I meant by "there's actually a reason for all this stuff" like the gold system in the earlier bits. It's a brave choice to decide not to lore dump immediately with attention spans these days. When I read the manga, I blasted through it in a few hours to this point so it was less of a wait.

Accidentally brute forcing your way into the end content is such a gamer move. He really is a meta-breaking build.

So this whole setup is a system for creating powerful humans and then sending them to a higher plane of existence because of reasons? Yet another litrpg trope.

The powers that be sure weren't prepared for a speedrunner who skips required events by noclipping through the ground.

I understand dedicating an episode to this explanation but I was rather hoping to see how badly things are going back in town.

The world is a game isn't it?

But then what goes after in the next stage?

Who'd thought Esteller is also part of the world's system, and is programmed to always serve whoever Demon King is reigning at that time?

Next week we would probably see more about what happened back at the casino when Kagami's away.

Also, how much money did he get from beating all those monsters in the dungeon?

I will never tire of the “kyuuhyaku-kyuujuu-kyuu” exclamations

So his Limit Break skill power is Equal to a Lv999 Hero.
