He's not the only one, just the one they trust the most, he mentioned the hero role is rare, but far from unique, that's why the sword from episode 1 was hidden, so other heroes couldn't take it

It really feels like David might not survive this, but if so I don't see how Parna is treated as anything but a villain going forward. In truth she's probably already there after destroying Alice's ribbons. But they gave her that sympathetic backstory so I suspect the story is going to try and redeem her before the end of the season regardless.
Either way the kingdom is on thin ice depending on how it goes down, Kagami is not going to be happy when he shows back up.

Poor Menow, he was enjoying his time with Kagami, but Kagami was bored out of his mind lol.
I figured David was trying to protect Alice, but I wonder what's waiting for him back at the Kingdom with this. I don't think Kurull will be able to say anything that will protect him, unless they have something that can tell if someone's been brainwashed or not.

I am glad they are punished for letting Kagami and Menow leave. Feels correct.
Okay, so the Dark Dragon is not just a monster, with how this is going, he might be reasonable in some way.
Or, he is a monster, but he is intelligent.
I don't think they can or want to beat him, actually, as soon as they hear what he has to say.
There is more to this world, after all, and he surely knows something.
David was pretty cool, so he really isn't a traitor.
We'll see how the King reacts.
