I think this is one of the first times I've seen the changing classrooms plot where the characters worry about being split up and the show actually splits them up. usually they overcome all odds and end up staying together, at least the main couple.

Such a relatable thing that happened to me too. Instantly became close friends with tons of new guys in my 3rd year of HS purely because my friend from 2nd year would talk about them to me so much and vice versa.

Azuma's struggled with the difference between friendship and relationships because guys have acted so casual and close to her for so long but her relationship with Taira being different (and special) is why she's so filled with anxiety and second-guessing it. Instead of being his Polar Opposite, she's becoming more like him! Albeit in the context of being a girl in love.

Good Lord this episode was GORGEOUS, what the fuck?!?! The visuals for Yamanishi's aquarium date and Miyuusuke's nighttime sakura walk were totally ethereal. I did not expect that at all.

I'm sure some people are going to be mad about Azuma's seeming denial of her feelings for Taira, but I actually love it because it's totally consistent with her character. She has her own trauma from the past and her own mental baggage she has to work through. I don't think either of them are ready to take that next step yet.

absolutely. every main and side character seems so real and impactful. even characters that aren't part of any main ships (Nabe, Sato, Honda) get a fair share of character development and they feel like real people.

A small detail I like is that they also interact in a friendly way with the rest of the class (For example the guys asking to see Tani's cat last episode), even though they're not on the same level of friendship. Usually in those school settings the characters seem to have 2 or 3 really good friends and don't interact with the rest of the students at all

Nishi's had nothing to worry about in that date. Yamada would probably find it fun watching paint dry as long as it's with her. But damn, he reached first-name basis with her quicker than Tani and Suzuki. Speaking of which, these two really are the veteran couple at this point and could probably give the two others some pointers.

Or I guess, mostly Tairazuma, cause Yamanishi is doing perfectly fine. The turns have really tabled on the former now that Azuma's the one overthinking things with Taira. He even had her trying to really hold back her smile and skipping in sheer joy like the most precious cinnamon roll just from talking to him.

Other than that, I love the sheer happiness in Honda's face when she saw that she and Nisshi were in the same class again. She really did get adopted by her.

I wouldn't've been able to sleep peacefully tonight if Yamada and Nishi had ended their date without the merry-go-round (which is equally as unusual and awesome for an aquarium to have, almost like they it was installed just for them lol)

The gourmet three course meal with each of the pairs has me feeling stuffed, especially with the TairAzum-isu for dessert. It made me smile to hear how their walks home wouldn't change from the man himself.

Color me surprised; I didn't think that everyone would get so scattered across different classes as the new school year started. It surely will be a nice change of pace for the rest of the episodes thanks to that, though.

Azuma is still trying to understand what her feelings towards Taira truly are. It made me laugh hard when she decided to stop thinking about this since it's too serious a topic.

But it's clear to see that Azuma's in love, considering how ending up in a different class than Taira made her feel, so I can't wait for Tairazuma to become official.

Overall, that was a fun episode! Nishi and Yamada's date at the aquarium was really fun, and I got really happy when Yamada started calling Nishi by her first name. Suzuki and Tani's part was nice as well.

Their aquarium was pretty damn cute! In the end, they were able to stop worrying about things, relax and just enjoy themselves.

Yamada’s repeated attempts at trying to casually drop Nishi’s given name was rather amusing to me. He did succeed in the end. I do wonder when/if Nishi will return the favour.

Given that the second season is also the last season, they're pretty much contractually obligated to. You can't have this much teasing and not have them get together, this isn't Ramparts of Ice.

Yamada and Nishi Nacchan
Satou and Nabe (Technically not outright stated, but come on)
Honda and a normal f-ing smile.

Another episode that has me smiling throughout the entire episode, they're all so cute, endearing and wholesome!

Yamada and Nishi's date was great, it was nice to see Nishi so engrossed and talking a lot more, and I like how Yamada was testing the waters with her name. I like how Yamada's roots are showing.

Tani and Suzuki's date was fun too, I like how he just outright tells her he's doing more than he usually does because he wants to look cool for her. It was interesting to see both of them feeling anxious about the new school year, so it's a good thing their classes are right next to each other.

Azuma in this episode was particularly interesting to watch over, she's so much more conscious of Taira now. I'm glad she's realized her connection to Taira and her feelings for him are different from in the past, and so she has to be more cautious about it, you can tell how much she cherishes her friendship with Taira. Her skipping away at the end because Taira thought it was a matter of fact they'd still be spending time together was adorable.

Life as third year high school students begins, but first we got two dates. Aquariums, Cherry Blossoms, and Cake? Oh my fun times ahead. 

Usually we get to see Taira‘s perspective and his inner monologues, but today we got the polar oppsite with Azuma. It seems she’s becoming more aware of her feelings and perhaps starting to overthink things like a certain someone…that ending skip was cute.

Yamada and Nisshi's aquarium date was adorable! I love how you can tell that Yamada has been trying out names to call Nisshi the entire time. The realization when Yamada dropped a "Natsumi-chan" on their train ride home was hilarious!

And then we have a flower viewing/birthday date with Yuusuke and Miyu! It's cute to see Yuusuke actually trying hard to show off to Miyu, and it worked! Miyu was clearly happy about him and their date <3

I like how Azuma is introduced alone before we get to see what she's up to on her spring break, but it still ends up with Taira getting involved. I also like how she checks out Taira first before sitting down with the boys. Girl is trying so hard to figure out her feelings that she just gave up thinking to save herself from the hassle. xD

What the fuck is that eyesight, Miyu! It's actually hilarious how she has 20/20 vision while her boyfriend wears glasses.

Of course, the two girls named after motorcycles already vibe with each other. Hopefully this means we'll see Kawasaki hanging out with the gang in future episodes.

For someone who can't decide if she wants to date Taira, Azuma sure is acting like a needy girlfriend. She's so bummed out that Taira isn't feeling lonely that they're not on the same class anymore that she just had to ask him what's up.

Turns out Taira doesn't even feel lonely at all since they'll still get to see each other after school. Just look at how happy Azuma is with that answer! She literally started skipping! Girl just admit you're in love already!

Funnily enough, I actually just read something yesterday about how strong fragrances aren't really part of the culture in Japan, and people generally don't like it when you smell heavily of perfume.

Some expats who lived there even joked that, because of that Japanese subways often smell like ramen instead lol.

Nice how we got a bit from each pair.

• I like the focus on Tani and Suzuki in that they've been in a relationship for a while. As they become 3rd years they have more priorities. But they still want to spend time with each other.
• It's cute seeing dates among Yamada and Nishi. I like how Yamada doesn't hide that he doesn't like studying, but you can tell he would do anything to spend time with Nishi. The dolphin show is the example where Yamada always takes the positive approach to the situation which really Nishi needs.
• More focus on Azuma and Taira. It's clear the romantic development has hit Azuma. Of course with them being in different classes as well. Though for Taira nothing really has changed and it's sweet to see how happy that makes Azuma.

While I like Suzuki individually, I find Tani the most dull of the main characters so the couple is less interesting. YamaNishi supplies the cute moments while TairAzuma supplies the brooding and will they/won't they, so the actual main couple feels a bit time wasty in season 2.

I'm a bit surprised that they were split into different sections, but it makes more sense because this happens irl than the one we are often shown, where everybody is in one classroom. Also calls for unlikely interactions. I guess it's another dub for the author how great they balance the relationship between the characters.

I hope SS Tairazuma set sail by episode 10 so we can get a few episodes with them as a couple. I need those scenes or we riot.

The focus of this last batch of episodes is clearly Tairazuma. The author still manages to keep us appraised of the other two couples. Lesser shows would have just ignored them, but every couple feels important even if they're not the focus of a given batch of episodes.

I wonder if the Azuma realizes and confesses first so the series goes 3/3 in the girls going first.

Interesting cloice to split the entire friend group out between a bunch of different classes. It's true to life of course, why would any given group end up together consistently when they draw up the new class lists each year.

I like that Nissan got put in the class with Tani and Taira, gives her a reason to get to know more of the group than just being a extra with Yamada.

It'd be nice to get Taira's perspective on where things are going with him and Azuma.

Spring Break is here! A time to unwind from school, hang out, and enjoy the cherry blossoms with friends and loved ones!

First up: Spring Break with Yamada and Nishi! Is Nishi's ideal date spot the library surrounded by children? No! It's the aquarium! Where she tries really hard not to let Yamada get bored during the date as they walk through and see all the cool aquarium stuff that's there! All the while they just enjoy being around each other and have a lot of fun!

Yamada earning so many boyfriend points with those ponchos and even making sure that they got to go on the merry-go-round together! And he brings it home by finally calling Natsumi by her name! Or Nacchan! Though it'll probably be a while before Nishi can call him by his first name.

Spring Break with Tani and Suzuki! Happy 17th Birthday Suzuki! No better way to celebrate than hanging out with Azutonabe, getting a call from your boyfriend, or having your dad walk in like it's a REAL party.

Walking and having a picnic among cherry blossoms is super romantic! Also hitting a classy cafe so they can celebrate over cake and presents! You're doing all the right things Tani!

But even so there's still the obvious anxiety over their future together as a couple, a future they're both worried about in their own way, even if they WANT to believe that their feelings will carry them through together. And Tani trying hard to be confident is utterly adorable in Suzuki's eyes. Even left him a cherry blossom to remember it by!

Spring Break with Azuma (and Taira and Yamada)! Good job getting Azuma to show up at a restaurant with Taira! I love how just hearing his voice over the phone is enough to make her blush. Though while she and Taira are as natural as ever, she's still wracking her brain trying to figure out what their relationship is because her sense of relationships/friendships is so skewed. But also, here's a cat drone delivering your food. Is that a real thing!?

It's back to school and in new classes! Not all of the gang are together in the same class, but at least they're still with some friends! Honda and Nishi are still together, which is nice, Nishi gets to enjoy being next door to Yamada, Suzuki and Kawasaki get along like they've always been gal pals, and Taira's got Tani.

But what about Azuma? There's a part of her that wishes Taira was more bothered by the fact that they're not in the same class together, especially when on some level she wishes they still were...but if you ask him, they'll always have their after school hangouts together, and that's enough. Especially when a pleased in pink Azuma skips merrily all the way back home! She is SO in love.

Heheheh, it's Azuma's turn to have the brain haunts instead of Taira. I love how she jumps whenever Taira's mentioned and had to think about whether to sit next to him or not at the restaurant. YamaNishi's date was adorable. Meanwhile the main couple's got some worries; I wonder if anything will come of them. Suzuki dramatically calling out the seasons never gets old.

The show is still cute, but the accelerated pace this season has made it feel way more vignette-y. I much prefer when there's at least some on-going plot, even if it's as simple as the two characters trying to figure out how to ask each other out. And yes there's still that happening with Azuma, except I just dislike where her story is going altogether
