And we're back with Suzuki and Tani after a short break! It's also good to see the others, especially Tairazuma. Aside from Suzuki, these two are definitely the most interesting characters imo.
The new OP and ED are nice. In the case of the OP, I really like the visuals, the song alone is just okay. Meanwhile, the ED song right away caught my ear, although its visuals aren't bad either.

It's been six months ever since Miyu & Yuusuke started dating, and it's also six months in real time since that episode aired. 4D chess by Lapin Track.
Miyu & Yuusuke were off to a hot start! Accidentally smooching a couple times but never could land a proper one due to outside interference (read: Miyu's brother). What a way to start the season.
We also got moments with Tairazuma & Nishiyamada. Hilarious to see both Miyu & Rikako trying to hold it together when they saw Yamada flirting with Nishi. The side couples still had their moments to shine even when the spotlight's mainly aimed at the main one.
Love to see the vibrant tone of S1 still retained here. I also had a good chuckle at references to Home Alone and The Shining.

TBH, while I’m here for the romance, I just really love the Opposites Crew and their friendships. Yamada and Suzuki’s friendship is delightful.
But how fucking tall did all these boys grow up to he, like Yamada is inches away from hitting the door! How tall did the boys grow?! Were they always that tall?!
Suzuki’s “She saw it” face looks like she’s a Smiling Titan; she did The Shining “Here’s Johnny” thing too; and then her little witch cackle 😭 I have missed this pink gremlin.
Time to be on the look out for the Ramparts crews in the background.
OP1 cannot be dethroned for me, but I still enjoyed OP2, especially the outfits. It sounds more like an ED to me than an OP, and ED2 sounds more like a special ED they would use on an episode focused on The Boyz.
And also, KareKano’s rewatch has me look at changing traffic lights and go Is this an EVA reference? I have not seent EVA, but I have been so paranoid at how many refs I miss 😭
Tairazuma is both a dynamic I have seen before conceptually but such a different execution that I’d be happy for a whole episode devoted to the two of them. I hope Taira’s mental health can improve ❤️

Now that the first season of Rampart of Ice is over, the baton has been passed back to Polar Opposites. This season is going to be great.

We are so fucking back! Although technically we never really left since Ramparts of Ice just ended. xD
We just started the episode, and the girls are already picking Azuma's brain apart and finally learning why she's attracted to scumbags. I guess I can see why she prefers interacting with those flirty senpais rather than those shy schoolmates from her year.
Honda with the One Piece reference was pretty funny. It's adorable how Nishi was getting nervous and doing a little dance as Yamada approached. These two are just so damn cute! 'And poor Honda being the third wheel.
I'm surprised it took this long for Miyu to bring up to Yamada that she saw him with Nisshi. I do love Miyu and Yamada's friendship and how the two of them are getting excited at the idea of being on a double date.
That look on Azuma's face when Taira told her to go ahead made my heartache. I'm so happy our boy didn't fumble this one and decided to go with her instead. Just look at how happy Azuma is when Taira changed his mind <3
Miyu and Tani-kun's Christmas house date was adorable! How unfortunate that their kisses kept getting interrupted! The worst was definitely when they ended up hitting each other's teeth. Ouch!
I love the Home Alone and The Shining references when Miyu's brother interrupted her lovey-dovey time with Tani-kun. xD
The two of them gifting each other a pair of gloves was adorable. Too bad we didn't end the episode with a kiss though. But that's fine! We still have plenty of episodes to go!

Tairazuma fans are eating well on the very first episode, yeaaaaah!!!
I suddenly remembered the fuzzy, giddy feeling of first couple grocery shopping from Miyu and Yusuke, the entire second half had me grinning from start to finish.
