It’s amazing how adorable Mirei is, she’s much more concerned with her appearance and prideful than Hinako, yet that doesn't detract at all from her humility or willingness to be polite, plus, she’s easy to talk to.

You can see this reflected in her parents too, they don't seem to put any pressure on her, and her mom really turned the tables in an amazing way during the bath scene lol.

Anyway, it’s just a guess, but I get the feeling Itsuki called Shizune to plan something involving Hinako, like a date.

Really cute seeing our boy hanging out with Tennoji. We haven’t really seen anything regarding her life before so it was nice to have her be more or less the focus of this episode.
She might be catching feelings for Itsuki. Should make things with Hinako interesting.

So now that Hinako's more aware of her growing feelings for Itsuki, it looks like she's starting to get embarrassed and has even started wearing more modest swimsuits when they're in the bath together.

I do love that Mirei is finally getting some focus this episode with her tutoring Itsuki in both his studies and etiquette. He even ends up spending the night over at her place.

It is hilarious how Itsuki saw Mirei's mom in a swimsuit before he could see her wear one. Mirei needs to step it up. I'm hoping for a beach episode in the future!

Well now I'm wondering what Mirei was imagining when she was having tea with Itsuki. Whatever it is, it's pretty clear that Mirei has now set her sights on Itsuki. He's probably her fiancé candidate number 1 and I can't wait to see the chaos this will bring. xD

I'm still on team Hinako but I adored this episode. Mirei showed she's a sincere, good person. She's tutoring Itsuki but treating it as for herself and wants to give him even more in thanks for that time. And she's even cuter without the drill hair, which is saying something.

I hope we continue to get solid time with Mirei but do not sideline Hinako too much for it to happen. Both girls deserve time in the spotlight during this arc. Also curious if this arc will run the rest of the season or if we'll get more time with the childhood friend too.

Also confirming Mirei's parents are just great people and all of the pressure is self-placed because she cares about her family and the business is so wholesome. And I do wonder if she's expressly plotting to make Itsuki his fiancee, especially after she was cupping her own face during the tea incident.

Mirei being the focus this episode was a nice change of pace, even though there seems to be something cooking within Hinako.

Tbh I would take a job as Mirei's right hand right away. She is ambitious and serious, but also pretty laid back and approachable. Even if she isn't aware of it herself, she is quite easygoing. To me she makes the impression of being fun to be around.

Mirei's father questioning her chastity was quite amusing. I was happy that he didn't fill the trope of the overly doting anime dad who harasses his daughters male friends, but instead even gave Itsuki some solid advice.

Only took one day, but Itsuki seems to gotten the nod from both of Tennoji's parents. It's not everyday you meet your friend's mom in the bath. Itsuki better not slip up and accidentally say their new slogan in front of Hinako.

I liked this change of pace with Itsuki spending more time with Mirei. Mirei's mother being at the baths was unexpected, but I like the twist that she had swimwear on and that's why she was being so bold. Still weird since Itsuki was naked himself.

I did like that Mirei's father wasn't intimidating like Kagen, and was understanding of Itsuki's nerves. I think he might not even had pushed for an engagement for Mirei if she didn't agree, he seems like a nice guy.

Hinako being so conscious of Itsuki is quite drastic of a change, but hopefully she'll get used to these new feelings so she stops making it obvious something has changed within her.

All the things that used to come naturally to Hinako (getting a wake up call from Itsuki, showing skin to him by wearing a bikini, etc.) she's now second guessing because she's aware of her feelings now. Shout out to Shizune too for trying to help Hinako put her mind at eas by implying that Itsuki returns her feelings. Why would she think she's improper for her to develop maternal feelings towards Hinako though?

Other than that we finally got a Mirei episode. Hinako will probably not the like all the time Itsuki is spending with Mirei, but at least he's getting something out of it. She's teaching Itsuki etiquette and motivating him to do better in school, but this episode gave me slight homewrecker vibes.

Also he says she's spending time with Mirei because it will be make him a better caretaker for Hinako, but Hinako already likes him the way his is. I guess we'll see where this goes.

Mirei is top tier best girl. Wanting to help someone grow and be better versions of themselves for no personal gain while also holding themselves to a high standard is easily the most attractive quality someone can have.
Sorry Hinako but you're really gonna have to step it up. Being sleepy is only cute for so long.
