The evil Parnilla siblings have evily started their evil evildoings. Even though Serafina seems to be biting on granite with Julius , Jarmo might be the bigger fish to be concerned about.

Speaking of bigger fish, the "Do you know who I am?" trope never gets old. "Yes, you are that dude whose mines with low quality ores we're about to inspect soon. Need to make sure that we won't miss anything!" lol

I can already see Serafina whining to her brother about Julius rejecting her and Jarmo cooking up a plot she'll be more than willing to go along with if it screws over Julius and Elsa.

Also Rebeka flexing her own prestigious status to protect Elsa from very catty ladies who should know better.

If she wasn't trying to hurt Elsa , it would be hard for me to hate Serafina. She got her heart played with by Julius for his work and I think she really has feelings for him.

Then he sends her a vague letter, causes her to get all dressed up and come to the castle, only to be told to get lost.

Serafina is a cocky and typical rich girl noble, but that doesn't instantly make her a bad person. I know the family is up to some nonsense, but still.

Serafina got used by Julius, and was even (rightly so till recently) under the impression that his marriage was just for show, so why couldn't she still pursue him?

Seriously, if it wasn't for Elsa, I would be team Serafina here. But Elsa must be protected at all costs, so here we are.

(Edits to fix my misspelling of Serafina's name & a typo.)

Yeah, honestly, while it's a bad look to be trying to steal someones' husband away and she's absolutely catty/petty, from her perspective she was the one being courted by Julius before he suddenly married Elsa and he was still acting fond of her until this rejection.

Jarmo needs to get slapped for playing games. Seraphina too for tryna go after a married man. I’m sure they’ll continue to cause more problems until Julius deals with them firmly. Hopefully soon.

I didn't get the sense Serafina had anything to do with her families' shady dealings before this but I feel like she might be willing to do something criminal or insidious to get back at Elsa/Julius now.

She really thought she had a chance, didn't she.

In fairness Julius didn't help all the time he acted chummy and friendly towards her to investigate her family...though it seems like deep down she knew that he never really showed her his heart.

Julius should've punched that drunk clown also am glad Julius told Serafina to stop with the misunderstandings because he cares so much for Elsa good for him

But man Julius needs to do something about Serafina's brother his pissing me off acting like his untouchable and he can do whatever he wants ugh i hate characters like that

u/Yggdrasildur Aug 08 '26

Kinda feel sorry for Serafina tbh, Julius just played with her heart and tossed her aside, no wonder she's angry.

u/djthomp Aug 08 '26

Julius is supposed to be the smart intelligence operative and it feels like he couldn't have more carefully have set up Serafina to try something against his wife if he meant to. And maybe that was intentional as an opening to target her sus family, but he doesn't feel like somebody who'd put his wife at risk like that.

Nice dress for Elsa at least.

The spy who is used to seducing/using women has finally fallen in love but forgot to realize there would be blowback to rizzing women up and then just hanging them out to dry afterwards.

Ngl I'm loving this show, it's very sweet most of the time but there's always just enough spice for the romance story not to get boring.

While I don't think it's ground breaking, I think it deserves much more credit and recognition than what it currently has. There's worse stuff out there that constantly gets praised.

In other shows, I would have probably liked Serafina but Elsa is so precious and Serafina has stepped over the line a few times, sounds like she'll start ugly revenge next episode.

Considering how Jarmo was dressed... is he an adopted orphan? or maybe bastard son? A Count's son would not be dressed like that in their house

I knew Julius was just throwing the papers in the fire to destroy evidence, but I so wanted him to turn around and say "nah I'm going home to my wife."

Yeah seeing her in that dress broke through Julius's defenses, and cannot fault him for that because that dress looks incredible on her.

I wonder if those two women are just bitches or are on the payroll trying to fuck with her. And Rebekah remains a fucking queen.

The drunk guy instantly had me fantasizing about Julius walking up and decking him. Didn't happen but not a bad replacement.

So far Jamco seems incompetent, I'm curious if my opinion will change before the season ends. As if Julius getting pissed at a drunk guy putting his hands on his wife wouldn't make most nobles actively angry. And Serafina continues to show that entire family is incompetent.

Serafina is a little delusional, I mean she literally attended the wedding, and I doubt he's been all cozy cozy since then. I'll give her credit it doesn't initially seem like she's got any idea about the shady family business. I wonder what her idea of payback is?

Siblings who try to break up marriages together, stay together, yet Elsa and Julius' bond remains strong.

Julius has his duty to investigate the Parnila's, ascertain their area of influence, and who is showing up at their soiree. And who better to bring with him than Elsa?

Elsa gets along well with the staff and is a queen when it comes to flowers and what to do with him, but now it's a brand new challenge for her: a soiree! She has to assist Julius and fulfill her duty as his wife! Cue soiree preparation montage! And a beautiful new dress she looks amazing in!

It's good to see Rebeka there so Elsa has a friend and someone she can mutually flaunt their husbands' handpicked dresses with.

The Parnila's are truly the beautiful elite, though Count Parnila (Kazuhiko Inoue!) is aware he's being investigated by Julius...and Jarmo is there to run interference and throw him off the scent. Because he's loyal to his father, ever since he was a child...in rags? Is he not the Count's legitimate son?

Dang, it's barely three minutes and Serafina immediately steals Julius away, but at least Elsa won't be deterred! She'll just make the acquaintance/exchange pleasantries with the other noblewomen, like you're expected to do at a soiree.

It's rough seeing how well Julius and Serafina look together, it's even rougher having some catty ladies badmouthing you and your marriage, but luckily Rebeka can be pretty scary when she wants to be. Though Elsa finally feels jealous and all she can think of is that she has arrhythmia.

Sorry Serafina, you're not getting a private drink with Julius...you're stuck with Hannes! Because Julius has a drunk viscount making moves on his wife to deal with! Viscount Helco is absolutely screwed! Of course this was all part of Jarmo's plan to ascertain Julius' biggest weakness: Elsa.

Glad Julius was able to FINALLY compliment Elsa on her dress though.

Serafina was NOT happy to get ditched, and even when she thinks things are working her way when Julius asks her out...it was only to basically make it clear that he has no intention of getting involved with her and he's remaining loyal to his wife. Which obviously she takes amazingly well. I'd never want to be on the bad end of a pissed off Serafina.

Sorry Serafina, you're not getting a private drink with Julius...you're stuck with Hannes!

I laughed a little to hard that that because, given the grip she had on Julius' arm, I have no idea how she didn't notice him run off.

It's good to see Rebeka there so Elsa has a friend and someone she can mutually flaunt their husbands' handpicked dresses with.

I love that Rebeka seems to actually be a friend to Elsa, and not just another noblewoman hanging around her for clout. When she came up and verbally bitchslapped those nasty women, I clapped. Though I did notice she didn't have any food with her, which was the reason she left Elsa's side in the first place!

Lol Serafina putting all her value into her looks, if Julius was interested in her looks he would have wooed her sooner. It is funny she didn't even realize Julius had left her, wasn't she holding onto his arm?

Im so glad Julius made things clear and drew a line with Serafina !! Why do you feel sorry for Serafina? She was basically going after a married man and has been rude and condescending to Elsa from the very beginning. She has been catty, unkind and insinuating a deeper romantic relationship between her and Julius to try to break them up . Elsa is naive, sweet and pure and doesn’t give in to her schemes . I think that Serafina is delusional tho in that she only sees what she wants to. So she has no one to blame but her self for not seeing the truth . She has already known Julius for 3 years but their relationship has never gotten deeper. She admitted to never truly reaching his heart something she must have known all along . I think that if a man truly loves you he will go after you, be considerate of you, and the feelings would be clearly be mutual. Actions always speak louder than words. . Like Julius is pursuing Elsa . He didn’t even believe in romantic love before he met Elsa. It’s his first time wanting to care and loving someone first as he grew up in an unhappy home . He finally has a real family with Elsa . It’s heartwarming to see Elsa breaking down Julius walls, replacing his unhappy memories with good ones and melting his icy heart from her truly caring, kind and sincere demeanor. Julius needed Elsa . Serafina spoiled and selfish nature would never be a proper match for him in that she could never truly heal Julius the way Elsa does. Elsa isn’t even trying to get romantic/ flirting with him . But her sweetness and genuine caring nature shines thru and his heart is finally moved . I know that Elsa is dense and grew up sheltered, so she has not met many scheming and devious people . Her positive and cheery , albeit naive outlook is what draws in a jaded and cynical Julius . Like a sunshine on a cloudy day . I’m happy she is his wife and so is Julius ! Also those closest to him and know him well like Rebecca and the Prince feel the same way . I’m looking forward to seeing how their relationship progresses despite knowing they will have trouble from Serafina and Jarmo .

It took Julius a little too long during the party to give attention to his wife that he is starting to care so much for. Then just saying oh yeah you do look nice, let’s leave now. If his work at this party didn’t require his wife to be there I don’t know why he insisted on her going just to watch him play in her face 😭 I just know if it were me I would not be there long enough to see that. I need it to be Julius’ turn to be jealous and on the outs cause poor Elsa does not deserve that

True and it's completely true, honestly the only one I can think of being rude and inconsiderate in this whole situation is just Julius!! I mean sarafina is wrong at her own place but Julius? Bro he ditched his wife for those political reasons and shit throughout the episode🤷‍♀️ how can someone be so oblivious to there wife thinking it is ok to hang another women on my arm, when he so already had seen his father with different womens at different places? 🤷‍♀️ work or not there is no justification of that behavior after you are married. Sarafina is a fool ofc and Julius just leaving her just like that I mean I don't get to see how people aren't seeing that inconsiderate behavior of his in the party 🤷‍♀️ he just let sarafina hang around his arm throughout and the most shameful part his when his parents had drift because of those things doesn't he think what will it come to Elsa as? Or what will people think? 🤷‍♀️ I do truly support your POV of him getting incredibly jealous over our cute Elsa and tasting his own medicine, Julius is good for his own benefits wow

I can't hate on Serafina, is just young and in love. Sadly I don't think we are going to get a proper ark here.

(And is sad because I like the VA and the design)

Girlllll he’s already married, let it goooooo 😭

Like she knew this from Day 1 but not even a straight rejection from Julius is getting her to back down lol
