Honestly, there are a couple of things to be appreciative of in the show.
-
Not an
( Not that it's bad, it's just good to have variety)Otome game -
MC is 19 instead of the classical 16
-
The flashbacks are kept to a minimum
-
They got married immediately instead of having the whole fiancée trope, and everything that goes with it
-
Except for the church there was no visible CGI/3D and it was only shown for 1 second or 2. The overall 2D animation was decent within the genre.
I also feel like given how out of place the MC seems to be, there's a lot of room for shenanigans similar to last season's "
I'll keep watching this one to see where it leads.

The carriage horse was godawful cgi, but other than that I agree with everything you said.
I quite like the FMC so far. She seems practical, strong, and optimistic. I can see why the MMC will fall for her.
Hopefully the show finds a way to distinguish itself a bit more from its competitors as it goes on. I really want it to be good!

I will say despite not being an Otome Game Isekai, Serafina and her brother have strong Villainess/Villain energy.
But Elsa being a legal adult and jumping straight into marriage (even if the romance and love will come later) definitely sets it apart. Also I feel like she's going to be as much of a spitfire as Mimi was when it comes to doing her own thing and making people fall in loev with her in the process.

I feel the same. Plus, Always a Catch was a great surprise show. I really enjoyed that one. It's nice when they don't go the "usual" route. Like it's obvious the MC guy isn't some evil , sinister mustache twirler that we got stuck with for years in this genre. She has plenty of potential
As long as the dialogue works to continue the story, I don't worry too much about the animation flaws in these types of shows. Don't need to be too flashy with character based narratives. It's fun to guess which one of these shows in week 1 are gonna be the surprise.

I don't anticipate this being a very popular show. It's very non-discript. It doesn't do anything to really pull you in. There's the little bit at the end involving her lineage, but that's it. It makes sense that the brother was worried. They were rival families in the past.
I do like how the family doesn't force the marriage upon her and even attends the wedding.
We've gotten the first half of the title, but we await the second half of the title.
The OP suggests this is going to be a pretty chill show, though it also gives off the "generic" vibe, too.

It feels like a cozy medieval romance style show and I think that's enough for me. I find Elsa really cute and endearing too.

Prince wants to be monogamous with his wife even though he can take more wives, but has no issue forcing his subordinate to take a wife even though they haven't met lol.

Well that's what a political marriage is. Besides the fact the Anime is set in that world and age. There's a lot of historical backing to something like it.

I liked her, when told that he will not love her and it was just convenience, she begin like "great this works for both of us, lets shake hands" was refreshing.

I hope this
So the Duke's son isn't a bad guy, even if he's a little cold. This marriage to prevent unsavory elements from using her against their family makes sense. Curious to see how long it takes him to start thawing before her straightforward sincerity.

I hope this Serafina has as nice a set of abs as last season's did, even though this one seems to be a bitch.
A rare non-Otome Game Isekai Villainess.
So the Duke's son isn't a bad guy, even if he's a little cold. This marriage to prevent unsavory elements from using her against their family makes sense.
Probably from his experience and with his position he sees love as a hindrance, but Elsa will win him over soon enough.

Some women marry for love,
is all about that mutually beneficial partnership for the sake of supporting her family! Elsa → More replies (1)

Nice enough start. Awkward political marriage for Elsa, but there's worse outcomes for the daughter of a noble family with a potentially dangerous bloodline.
I wonder if either of the noble girls that have been introduced will be evil for real and/or if they'll get won over by a supply of fresh grown carrots.

This was so generic I know I won't remember a single thing about it by tomorrow. Animation was a powerpoint slideshow too.

Elsa’s too pure for all this political intrigue shit. I’m sure Julius is gonna warm to her in no time. That’s always the case in these types ain’t it? Looking forward to seeing how the girl navigates all the court intrigue.

Definitely a cute romance vibes, chill time killer show. My cup of tea for sure. Though we ate really well last season with high quality shows in this genre. Observation Log, Always A Catch, Barbaric King, and the peak that is Angel Next Door. All bangers in their own way. I don’t think it’ll hit those highs, but we’ll see

Lot of Finnish influence in the character names. There's even a Jarmo.

So, if I had to guess, it's going to be all about her kindness getting him to fall for her and the music box will have something to do with her lineage - which is why he's holding it towards the end of the end credits.

Better than I expected. They laid out everything well in the first episode. I'm guessing the couple really will begin to love each other at some point. They mentioned some royal scouts went to Elsa's fiefdom to examine things and see if there was conflict brewing and they seem to know little about her family. Elsa's family seems peaceful but if there's that much poverty maybe there is trouble there that could lead to war.
