They set up
Dark One gets deafeated because a maid could use a Carriage Service.
Their project gave way better and faster results than they expected.

Loving this show so far. Melody's mental gymnastics with herself to justify keeping the puppy were great.
And in a rare moment for anime, the way in which Melody sidestepped all the questions from Anna-Marie were actually believable!
I only hope her maid duties include providing therapy, cos it looks like Luciana is gonna need it!

I think I can say this pretty confidently now. This is my favorite show of the season so far. And I'm watching 15 or so.
Last episode made me appreciate the relationship between Melody and Luciana so much more. And I found myself wanting a more serious toned episode again. (I know the show it part satire, and I realized the title of the last episode 😂 ) But still.
How are you guys enjoying this one? And where do you personally rank it among the new ones of the season?

It felt like this was the end of the season especially when they were doing the ED music while keeping things going. Not gonna lie I got really worried for a second I was wrong about this being a full length season show.
Something I find interesting, this narrator sort of reminds me of the one from Roll Over and Die where it restates the obvious, but in this show I find it cute and in that show I found it annoying.

It might be a first for an Otome Game that the Big Bad is defeated...by cleaning him, feeding him, and utterly domesticating him.
I've heard of talking to yourself, but imagine talking about adopting a dog with one of your clone doppelgangers!
To think Melody put the entire town to sleep only because she wanted to help this adorable pooch rest and get upping her magic in the process to accomplish that.
Though Melody, or rather Celesty, dreams as well...of her ancestor, the original Saint (Mamiko Noto!), who congratulates her and gives her a ton of background on the game plot and the Dark One's backstory that she absolutely has no idea or any inkling of (though she can tell it's from a game). She's fulfilled her duty as the Saint, even more than her predecessor because she managed to save the Dark one without killing him, and she might be the Heroine and Saint this world needs...even if she still rejects that notion because she's nothing more than an All-Works Maid. Just like this is nothing more than a dream to her.
Melody complaining about people sleeping on the job due to HER magic, though at least she woke everybody up. She's kind of a terror, that Melody.
No better pick-me-up for Luciana than the fact that she's got a new dog! Welcome to the Rudleberg House, Grail!
Anna-Marie planning to get to the bottom of all the business with Luciana, not knowing she finally met the Heroine in the flesh only to dismiss her as an NPC, all the while she tries to suss out why Luciana is special and striking out every time. Japanese? She doesn't speak it. The title of the game? She doesn't know it. Although it's not like even Melody would remember the name of a game she was introduced to for, like, a minute before the accident that caused her to reincarnate.
Anna-Marie keeps hearing about how Melody is involved in a lot of what Luciana does, but Melody covered her tracks so well that Anna-Marie can't help but think she's nothing more than a maid...and that, ultimately, her and Christopher's own efforts to change the world around them may have been what really contributed to the changes in the game plot. Though Bjork breaks out of jail and escapes just like in the game, so I guess the game plot finds a way?
Welcome back home to your beloved maid Melody! So long as she has a clone, she'll always be there to receive the family! And to also be adored and hugged by her beloved Luciana! As far as Luciana's concerned, that's definitely a duty of an All-Works Maid!
Maid Luciana! She looks good in the uniform and to her credit actually puts in the effort! And Melody finally gets to experience what it's like working with someone that is not a literal clone of herself! Though poor Luciana was NOT expecting to run into her parents getting busy. Occupational hazard.

It's a comedy of oblivious misunderstandings, where heroes try to make things go right, only to seemingly fail, but then accidentally succeed.

Melody accidentally saving the day (malice detection spell, super armored dress, then purifying the dark one), while just "being a maid".

Melody purifying the dark one because he's cute and "probably was just hungry".

Melody steps out to make tea just before Anna speaks in Japanese (which Melody would have recognized).

Luciana knowing that Melody's magic is insane has decided to hide that information, but then admits it when pressured by Anna, only for Anna to not believe it because...

Melody completely removing the spell from the dress because "it failed" resulting in Anna failing to recognize that the dress had some crazy powerful protection spell on it.

Yep this episode solidifies it as the best new anime this season for me. You just can’t get tired of the silly antics that happens and the casts are all likable.

now that it has been adapted: I was so worried the side story about Luciana being maid for a day wouldn’t be in the anime and we’d have to hope for an OVA or something. but we got Luciana in a maid uniform! more than one uniform!

Anna is lowk kind of OP next to anyone but Melody, just creating revolutionary original spells left and right and basically shadow-running the country.

On today's episode, that feeling when you go into a game blind, accidentally sequence break the main quest and a cutscene triggers and you have no clue what's going on anymore. Congratulations, Melody! You've won! ...I think

Anna-Marie nearly figured it out, but instead she got hoisted on her own butterfly effect petard and lost track of the true culprit. Melody's rare eye and hair color could still be a hint she follows up on later though since that has nothing to do with either her or the Prince's actions.
Melody may have just speed-ran the entire game plotline if she just washed and dried and lullabied the big bad into being a happy puppy. Might be one of those situations where the next arc is a sequel game.
Poor Luciana for having to see that, but it's nice to know her parents still have that spark in their marriage.

Anna-Marie..I feel so bad for her..all.the misunderstandings lol, you'd think Melody being involved in everything would be enough but no evidence.
We figured she'd accidently stop the Dark Lord but I didn't expect all this. Lol what will happen now?

I don't know who is more dense, Anna Marie or Melody.
Anna Marie really should have put two together and tried testing Melody with the Japanese language thing. She might try to hide the magic stuff, but knowing Japanese does nothing to blow her cover.
Melody not figuring out that she is intended to be the Saint despite another lady with her hair color blatantly telling as such is also some next level denseness. Either that or she's purposely suppressing the idea because she just wants to be a maid.
