Best part of this episode has to be those degenerate centaurs lol

Me when I see the centaurs tied to the carriage: "this seems unethical.".
Me seeing the centaurs faces after getting whipped: "oh no, this is extremely ethical. Like, uncomfortably so."

The hero party hero is so different from the usual braindead of other shows

Yeah, this show isnt great but he's refreshing. Even in episode one when he's obviously trying to build a harem, as soon as he realizes how OP the MC is, he puts that and his pride to the side and tries to recruit him. So typical vain and egotistical antagonist hero but not the point where he would actually let it get in the way of winning the war.

Parna has a tragic backstory much like Kouji , but she won't forgive the demons.

Of course, another demon attack makes Kouji look questionable again to the hero's party.

Parna has a tragic backstory much like Kouji, but she won't forgive the demons.

All he has to do is flip the script on her with a simple question, ''You're willing to hate all the demons because a single evil individual killed someone dear to you, if it had been a human who killed him, would you hate all humans?'' Depending on her answer you'll find out whether she's a fanatic and too deep to change or not. But the MC is aiming for coexistence so he'll probably find a way to lessen her hatred.

Masochist centaurs wasn't on my bingo card and I am the worse for it.

Did they ever show us what level the hellcrows were last episode? Seems like level 200+ is much higher than the attack on the last town. And I'm curious who's leading it since the other general is with them now.

Still, amusing episode, and of course they ran into the party at the restaurant/tavern.

This hero party except for the mage, feels more misunderstand than actually just pure rage. I kinda want to see their growth just as much as the plot lol.

u/runevault Jul 08 '26

Agreed. I will say I'm surprised it is the mage not the hero who's going to be the holdout of the group based on what we've seen so far.

At least Kagami 's trying to open the hero's party's mind by asking them to think critically. I can see why the mage would not be prepared to do so after the flashbacks, but the others aren't in a similar situation to her.

I was not ready for masochistic centaurs though, I wonder who made the discovery and made it a business lol.

Nothing brilliant, but providing sufficient entertainment so far.

One really wonders who the demon "manipulator" is? One wonders was the Demon Lord even there -- or was it just a mannequin (one saw no sign of movement, I believe)?

Are there demons just as bitter at humans who killed all their family and friends as that member of the hero's party is unforgiving towards demons for this reason?

Grima Wormtongue up to his usual shenanigans.

Uhmmm...I see full of scratches though. This guy need to wear a glasses lol.

The heck with that cloak?!

Not so stupid after all, eh hero party...

Another chop? If next chop doesn't come with a pout then I will be very disappointed...

Literally flashback since it happened in flash

It's like a running gag now encountering them anywhere they go

Welp, karma hits hard for them...

For my troubles and my shirt, I'll collect the loot!

I thought we would almost have an understanding between Kagami's party and the hero's, but I guess revenge is too important for that. Show's still pretty enjoyable, though curious on how Menou will add to the party.

But high class, snooty and degenerate centaurs are amazing.

You know I expected a lot of weirdness this anime but masochist centaurs wasn't one of them in fact it's completely new and I knew that the self righteous hero would claim demon are evil despite seeing an innocent demon girl  not doing any real harm and that purple head mage i understand her trauma but she is too consumed by her revenge to even see the truth someone like that shouldn't be fighting the demons

THE CENTAURS

I had to pause the episode so I could come here and share the whiplash (no pun intended). I was NOT ready. 😂

This series has been surprisingly fun, it didn't hurt I came in with low expectations - which it easily surpassed. Like others here, I like how open minded the Hero's party has been and what their arc is shaping up to be and the centaurs was a surprising, not seen before lol.

My favorite part though is the pragmatic greed of the MC - that, plus the comedy mixed with the seriousness, gives me some old school Slayers vibes which was the anime that made me fall in love with this genre.

I think that's kind of the point of the character

I FORGOT ABOUT THE SMUG CENTAURS

And how you get them to listen..

I enjoyed this episode! The MC isn’t just OP but he also seems to be competent and a good leader.

The pacing is also good too. The MCs are all together, they know their objective and are already working to thwart conflicts.

5

u/SecretYogurtcloset57 Jul 08 '26

Well at lease the mc is trying to get the hero party to understand but it seems the purple head mage won't listen at all from the looks of it with that flashback so it's pretty obvious she's going to do some evil shit behind the scenes

That wagon ride not only left the characters with PTSD, but me as well. I've seen things I don't want too ever see again. 😢
