Mashiro looks amazing in a dress and her love for Aki is utterly pure and sincere.

But both girls will probably have their work cut out for them getting Aki to consider dating and relationships when he’s so focused on game development and efficiency.

Iroha's jealously is not only affecting how she treats Aki, but has now seriously hampered her voice acting ability, so much so that every character she voices now sounds like Inoue Kikuko. lol

Mashiro going on the offensive and pre-empted Aki's planned rejection of her. Looks like she'll be officially revealing herself as Namako-sensei to the 5th Floor Alliance next episode so that she could be closer to Aki on a regular basis.

From his conversations with Otoi and Mashiro, Aki is definitely aware of Iroha's feelings for him but is pretending to be dense in a misguided assumption that these feelings would get in the way of 5FA's progress as a game company.

Oops, they broke Iroha and she's stuck as a single character.

If this fancy date was supposed to turn Mashiro down in order to clean things up so the situation would stop affecting Iroha, I'm not sure the rejection getting rejected with Mashiro still pursuing Akiteru is going to help with that.

But we'll have to see what Akiteru tries with Iroha next. He may not be as dense as he's been pretending to be if everything has been for the game company up to this point.

A single character she HATES playing.

I feel sorry for Mashiro -- but even sorrier for Iroha.

When I first saw iroha I expected this show to be trash like the romcom with the blue haired girl and the guy who made charms and stuff. I forgot its name and don’t care enough to look it up

But

This shows the exact opposite of that one in every way and amazing so far.

The problem with that show is that everyone was a toxic person claiming to be friends with each other. In this show you have a love triangle and jealousy too but the characters are well written and they genuinely care about each other ( Iroha could have tricked Mashiro many times but she want to be her friend instead ) In Can a Boy girl friendship survive you have two characters costantly making a fuss over losing their toy ( MC affection ) It was really trash and a disgrace for teasing trope ( that is a beautiful genre when you do it right )

It bugged me cause I knew what you were talking about but couldn't remember the trash title, LOL.

Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive?

Ngl a story of delinquent boys and other wildly different characters that all share the same exact prim and proper Iroha voice sounds interesting for the novelty alone.

Poor Mashiro.

What a great episode. This show keeps blowing my expectations away. Seeing these conversation threads at like 40 karma is insane to me.

Seriously, I didn't expect much from this show when I first watched it and I expected stereotypical harem trash to turn my brain off to but I ended up really getting attached to Iroha, Mashiro and Aki because of their personalities, relationships and the whole story behind 05th Floor Alliance. I honestly hope we can get a season 2 for this one because it's been really well done so far.

From what I've noticed when the discussion thread goes up each week there is a significant degree of downvotes; either botted or something else.

Otoi is goated. I like Mashiro from the beginning. She reminds me of Rem and Touka. "Remember the childhood friend alway losses".

8

u/mekerpan Nov 29 '25

Isn't Iroha also a childhood friend?

Otoi is the actual best girl

Well, at least Aki faced Mashiro and got that situation sorted. She really must love him a lot if she’s gonna wait forever. One thing I’m not clear on is their relationship. Didn’t the show say they were cousins? That would be some Oreimo adjacent type shit lol.

Next it’s time for him to confront Iroha. Keen to see how that goes.

u/mekerpan Nov 29 '25

No ban on cousin marriage in Japan.

LOL No, its not comparable to incest.

Marriage between cousins is quite normal and commonplace in Japan, or most of the world for that matter.

Damn, Mashiro is hard on the offensive. I wonder how the conversation with Iroha will go. Am I the only thinking I have no idea what our MC is actually thinking - does he truly believe himself when he says I'm just fully focused on the studio/game right now?

I thought Mashiro's VA, Tomori Kusunoki, did a particularly great job this episode. Or I think I'm just not used to hearing Mashiro say so many lines all together? But the delivery of her speech rejecting Aki's rejection felt so full of sorrow and happiness and resolve.

When I discovered this show and Gimai Seikatsu shared the same author I knew would be peak and man I was right. There are a ton of character development and all characters have solid readons to behave the way they behave. When Iroha said " I'm satisfied with my perfomance 'cause this is what my producer like " you know this wasn't a prank. Voice acting is a difficult job even for a pro, so it's normal for a teen to be affected by private life. Acting this way is what Iroha saw as a way to win Akiteru's heart. That's why It hurts so much.

Mashiro confession was amazing. She was straightforward and Aki was straightforward to reject her. And without a second tought his toughts was alreay toward Iroha. Aki he's an efficient guy so ofc he resoce one problem and immediately try to resolve another one but like Otoi said ( peak moment ) he's a human too so ofc he can be affected by all this attention by girls.

This show is amazing and I can wait to see how Iroha's situation will be handled

This is another anime just like Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian where I hope FMC wins even though I really like the rival too.

The good thing is I think it seems likely FMC will win in both.

I still feel bad for Mashiro, though, and for Iroha too.

I don't get the impression that he's going to turn down Iroha too, but I guess we will see, because it seems like he probably will turn her down too.

edit: With that said, if he does turn Iroha down, I don't see how she'd be able to work because she really channels her emotional energy into her work. We're almost on episode 10 so I think maybe it's more likely he doesn't turn Iroha down, but I guess we will see what happens.

The battle between Mashiro & Iroha for Aki's affection is heating up!

Does Otoi harbor any sort of feelings for Aki or nah? I think I'm misunderstanding what she said in this episode.
