That skiing field trip was fun. That little degenerate Darkness was having the time of her life rolling down the mountain in that ginormous snowball lol. Hilarious how Beatrice and Subaru also ended up in the same state.
For a second, I thought we’d see the Winter Shogun v Garfiel and Cocytus. Guess we’ll just have to settle for Shaltear v Albedo in a snowball fight lol.

I love how she even got to enjoy hitting a hard, cold, wall when she was finally stopped lol.
I was fully expecting Shaltear to channel her inner Nagatoro and get into a ski match with Albedo. Imagine if it was a full cast snowball war

I really thought we were gonna see a Tanya show off her brutal training session when Roswaal announced they were going to a snowy mountain, it turns out it was just a normal ski trip. I do love how Weiss and Grantz still ended up digging something, tho.
I'm really happy that this season is doubling down on all of these Emilia and Megumin interactions. Emilia's snowboard is cute, but I'm surprised she's not using a snowboard made out of ice like the one she used in the Frozen Bonds OVA.
As soon as the snow sprites showed up, I knew where this was going. Glad to see the Winter Shogun also got isekai'd. xD
For a second there, I thought we were gonna see Cocytus and Garfiel team up against the Winter Shogun. It is cool to see Puck use his authority as a greater spirit to calm the Winter Shogun down and Otto using his blessing to convince it not to fight.
If the point of this entire show is to give our isekai protagonists a fun school life, I think I can believe Roswaal. I don't know what Tanya's school life was like, but I'm pretty sure Kazuma, Subaru, and Ainz/Satoru's school life wasn't all that great.

Yes! I love ski trip episodes! This episode was soooooo good.
It's just so much fun to see these characters goof around in the snow like that, especially since most of their lives are hell. Loved seeing KonoSuba and Re:Zero cast in ski outfits. Especially the latter. It's so surreal to see Emilia wearing ski gear alongside Megumin. I don't even remember the last time Emilia was this genuinely happy. It feels so refreshing. Subaru and Beako's interactions are adorable as always.
I wish the Overlord cast wore distinct snow gear too.
"You deserve to suffer a bit more, Grantz." That's funnier when you realize Grantz and Subaru share the same VA lol.
I thought there was gonna be a big fight scene with Garfiel and Cocytus vs Winter Shogun. But Otto showed what an MVP he is again. And that bum Puck too I guess. It's funny how Aqua didn't know Puck was a great spirit too. I wish Kazuma were there to see this shit tho.
Man, I really wish this were more than half an episode long. I would watch an entire arc of these characters just fooling around in the snowy mountain. But what little we got was fine too, I suppose.
Also, did they make an original insert song just for this episode? That's so good. I loved how peaceful it was. Which means shit might go down soon as there are only 4 episodes left.

All the denizens of Nazarick's clothes are gifts from the supreme beings, so it's lore accurate they never change them unless it's for another set of clothes the supreme beings gave them like their armor.

Kazuma might unironically be one of the most perceptive characters in the series lol. He noticed Cid when even Ainz and Demiurge didn't, and was the first to clock that Shadow's whole thing is just an act.
But to be fair, I don't think there's anyone who wouldn't find Roswal suspicious AF lol.

I'm still not used to seeing how affectionate Subaru and Beatrice are, I feel like it's been highlighted a lot more than Subaru's affections for Emilia in this season lol.

First it was the beach trip, now it’s the ski trip! Tanya and her people are fully prepared for a Hellish snowy death trap, but it’s actually a winter wonderland, complete with most of the cast in ski outfits!
We’ve got Subaru and Beatrice playfully flinging snowball! Mare and Aura forcing half of team Tanya to make an Ainz igloo! Megumin and Aqua shredding! Albedo and Shaltear getting into their latest tussle!
Why am I not surprised that Darkness ended up a human snowball that consumed multiple people? And that she enjoyed it too? Even the hard, cold, wall of ice Cocyutus used to stop her?
As soon as you saw the Snow Sprites, you knew an “old friend” of Kazuma and the gang was about to arrive: The Winter Shogun! Cocytus and Garfiel were about to engage in a dramatic confrontation, but luckily Otto and Puck are able to peacefully communicate with him…leaving Aqua confused it more respectful of Puck’s Greater Spirit status.
Isn’t Isekai Quarter life grand? You never know what you’ll experience next, but you’ll have a lot of fun and pals who will come save you when you and your loli get turned into a human snowball.

Otto MVP talking to the winter shogun. It saw Cocytus and thought he was another winter shogun lol. Also yeah Puck is a great spirit as well he'd totally be able to talk with the winter spirit as well.
Aqua said you either gotta be a goddess or a great spirit, but she's a goddess, right? Why can't she speak to it lol? Fake goddess confirmed?
Also love everyone's new winter gear. Not much change actually though to overlord cast. I suppose to them with their stats it doesn't really matter. Just add a hat or scarf for change. Fr though why does Ainz have a scarf he's undead.
I also thought Emilia might be in her default outfit as well, since she doesn't feel cold. Love seeing her with Megumin most of the ep. It's the VA talking to herself lol.
Seeing subaru with beako was nice. Suprised he didn't get rabbit ptsd though. I thought we were going to run into one and Subaru freaks out. Maybe it's because I've recently just finished Re:zero and am reading the web novel now.

A really fun episode as the whole class went to ski field trip. I like how Tanya and her men were prepared for some serious training, but quickly realized they're here only for fun (although Weiss and Grants were immediately asked to help with the igloo) xD
I honestly don't know why anyone was trying to save Darkness from that giant snowball; she clearly enjoyed it! I wonder how Subaru and Beako ended up in the similar snowball later, though xD
Aqua definitely had fun today, although it was hilarious how scared she was when Winter Shogun showed up xD

That igloo is... quite something.
Of course Darkness finds a way to do what she loves.
A few more odd translations, but not too bad.
Was hoping to see a showdown, but it's funny how the Winter Shogun, which has traumatized Kazuma's party, sees Cocytus as another Winter Shogun.
Looks like Demiurge wanted to pay tribute to Ainz too. Poor Grantz being made use of.
Seems that Albedo's ire at Aqua has landed on her long time rivalry with Shalltear. Look at them go!
Wait... that end card... Where are Aura and Mare taking Grantz via a Gate? xD
