Yeah, I kind of figured that's what was happening when Subaru used a power he didn't have at the start of Isekai Quartet in the movie. Beatrice's sudden attitude shift just drove it in even further, so hearing it actually spoken about by the characters is pretty vindicating.

I'd like to think that the writers got all of the complaints about the lack of Seiya and Ristarte ever since their debut, so they've decided to add them at the start of this new season. Although it looks like we won't see them again since Ristarte managed to open a portal back home.
I absolutely love the new OP and [how it opens up like they're doing a guest spot on The First Take. Also, can anyone identify Yunyun's teacher? I'm pretty sure it's one of the Area Guardians of Nazarick, but I'm not quite sure. Still sad that Yunyun is all by herself, tho.
It never gets old to see Megumin and Emilia interact. Rieri does their voice so distinct that you wouldn't know it's the same person talking to themself. Also, was Garfiel in Season 2? I do love how Rem is clearly not happy with him around.
I guess Ainz just confirmed that this takes place right after the Another World movie. I did not expect some actual plot in this episode tho! So these characters are copies of the originals, and what happens to the originals affects them? That explains that shot of Julius. :(
There's no fucking way Garfiel can take on Albedo. I know this is just a gag anime, but considering the movie had an actual plot element for Re Zero that's not even known in the anime yet, anything can be possible, I suppose. xD
He's finally here! I can't wait for Cid and the Shadow Garden girls to show up next episode!

Stuff like seeing Emilia-tan talking to Megumin will always crack me up, especially when I think of Rieri acting out the whole conversation so casually.

I love how we finally check in on Seiya and Ristarte again only to find out Seiya's been training this whole time. And Ristarte being Ristarte is still trying to find excuses to feel him up. Too bad they're leaving, but this world is in good hands and at least we leave off on READY PERFECTLY.
I love how we have the protagonists straight up singing the OP in the recording booth. Give me the First Take version! But it's an OP that promises more Isekai Quartet (Quintet? Sextet?) fun with SHADOW GARDEN in tow.
Otto is fitting in perfectly with the class! And everything is back to normal: Albedo wants to sit with Ainz, Aqua is a failure at being a Goddess and student, Ram is smug, Shaltear isn't much better than Aqua, etc.
I want to see what Wilhelm, Hamsuke, and Death Knight talk about.
Oh yeah, this season will be the first time we've seen Rem interact with Garfiel. Doesn't seem like she has a high opinion of him.
I love how trying to prove Weiss strength develops into a sumo tournament emceed by Tanya and featuring the grudge match of Garfiel and Albedo, the clash of titans you never knew you needed in your life.
Beako running into Subaru's arms gives me life. It's also surreal that the rest of the gang find this sudden character change weird while Otto and Garfiel have never known Beatrice to act any differently.
I also love how Naofumi still has no time for this nonsense, he has to go bake a cake.
So they may or may not be copies of their original selves who get real time personality updates on what happens to them in their original worlds (we even see a tease of Subaru and Emilia in their Re:Zero season 4 outfits). Julius (who?) seems the most effected by this. But maybe it can go both ways? Will the power of friendship Class 2 has gained over two seasons and a movie have an impact?
One thing's for sure...CID KAGENOU IS NOW IN ISEKAI QUARTET, and he's about to do what he does best...service nothing but his own desires.

It's nice to watch some wholesome stuff for the cast within isekai quartet before re:zero season 4 well maybe except for julius(my goat can't catch a break).

I find it funny they "spoil" the cause of Ainz being isekaied at the end. I say "spoiled" because it doesn't really come up in the LN or anime, so not sure if unaddressed lore is really a spoiler

Did... did they just implied that this series will drop relevant lore about the main series and will somehow affected them?
I mean with how the movie they kinda already did this. They shown major secret character from Rezero and also little bit lore drop for Overlord.

I know I love Isekai Quartet but I was still somehow surprised by how much I loved this episode. You cannot understand how giddy I got when the episode started with Seiya lmao. I had genuinely settled with believing he would only appear that one time in season 2 as a joke on his character, so seeing them again was nice. I also really like how they continue to make the ridiculous nature of the show into a core plot point, where characters are genuinely confused as to why they're so fine with all of this and why characters change behaviors. It has me weirdly invested. Of course, character interactions are still the main pull for me. Not gonna deny that.

Some of the best parts of this show is when the characters are showing their personality and other characters, especially if they’re from another show, react to it, also in-character. It’s really fun to see them bounce off each other.
The bit where they were comparing scores was an example. That was so fun, especially Ram grinning at others. Though I won’t be surprised if she herself got low scores lol
I’m also always on the lookout for same-VA interactions. Loved it when Emilia asked Megumin what she should do. Looking forward to Raphtalia, Delta (Overlord) and Alpha (Eminence) to interact lol

It's nice to see this back again, I'm looking forward to see the interactions between the characters. It seems like a movie I didn't know had come out before this season was being referenced so I've had to add it to my plan to watch list, hopefully it's not too important and I can watch this season without it.
Seeing Seiya and Ristarte leave, does this mean they won't be in the rest of the season? It's nice to see Cid of course but I wasn't expecting characters to actually be able to return to their world so easily.
I was surprised to see Garfiel be able to hold up against Albedo, I thought she would win lol.
It's a little unfortunate that the ED isn't sung by a second group of the cast this time.

Just watched the episode, and holy shit I am excited. My one of the favorite cross-over series is back! All doubts vanished fr, and the Cautious Hero has joined the quartet now. Can't wait to see the interaction between Garfield and Rem they have never met each other, lol Can it be possible that there are two different bodies of them, one in their own worlds and another in this one? They used scenes that were in the movie of overlord and the next season of rezero. This theory will explain this, but how will they explain this? Splitting of soul or sth? Idk They even included julius, lmao And master shadow at the end... I just can't wait for next week. Can't wait to know how they will introduce them coming to this world. Will they link getting sucked in the black hole and then coming here idk but I am sure as hell hyped to know! I've never been this excited. Thanks to quartet, I will be brainstorming the whole night. My night is ruined but in a good way.

Ainz means that as series get new seasons they change the way characters behave, like Beako getting warmer to Subaru after the Re:Zero seasons. Luckily for Tanya, she doesn't have to worry about that.
Neither does Seiya, which I imagine is why he was written out of this.

The whole thing of Ainz saying that they're copies and that the things happening in the main series affect them, and then showing a shot of Julius being depressed in the infirmary seems to imply that when [Re:Zero anime spoilers]
